Sofia was finally heading out the door, late for her group study session at Emily's house. Her mother rushed after her, handing her a folder. "Sofia, can you please drop this off to your brother at the office? It's crucial for his meeting today."
Sofia nodded, tucking the folder into her bag. "I'll take care of it, Mom."
As she arrived at the Forger Perfume headquarters, Sofia's eyes widened in awe. The sleek, modern building seemed to touch the sky. She made her way to the reception, where a friendly voice greeted her.
"Hi, I'm here to see Rock Morgan. I have a document for him," Sofia said.
The receptionist smiled. "He's on the 23rd floor. Let me call him for you."
Moments later, Rock emerged, looking relieved as he took the folder from Sofia. "Thanks, sis! This is exactly what I needed for the meeting. You're a lifesaver!"
Sofia smiled, happy to have helped. "No problem, brother"
As Sofia turned to leave, she didn't notice the tall, imposing figure standing by the elevator, his eyes fixed intently on her. Ethan, deep in thought, had just stepped out of the elevator and was about to head to his office when he saw her. But before he could react, Sofia collided with him, her books and papers scattering everywhere.
Ethan's eyes locked onto hers as he instinctively reached out to steady her, but Sofia was already apologizing and scrambling to gather her belongings. "I'm so sorry, I'm running late!" she exclaimed, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.
Ethan's gaze lingered on her face for a moment, his expression softening. "It's okay, I'm the one who should apologize," he said, his deep voice calm and soothing. "Are you alright?"
But Sofia was already hurrying away, muttering a quick "thank you" as she rushed out of the building, leaving Ethan feeling slightly bewildered but also intrigued. He watched her go, his eyes following her until she disappeared from view.
As he turned to head to his office, Jack approached him, concern etched on his face. "Sir, is everything alright? You seemed a bit...distracted."
Ethan shook his head, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "I'm fine, Jack. Just a bit...surprised."
