Chapter 33 - The Immortal Walks the Battlefield

And then, Shiao slowly sheathed the Golden Crow Sword.

"My sister… General Sher is not dead?"

He blinked in confusion, staring blankly at Austin.Just moments ago, he'd been a merciless killing god. Now, his expression softened into innocence and doubt.

Far away, a silver helicopter descended toward the base. Before the rotors had fully stopped, three women inside noticed the battlefield—and more importantly—the absence of a small familiar figure.

Wang Siyi pushed the cabin door open and leaped out first. Her presence instantly drew the attention of nearby soldiers, who silently admired her beauty. They had already received the announcement that General Sher's daughter had arrived, so a reception squad had been dispatched.

As Siyi approached, one soldier eagerly asked,"Miss, where's the person who came off the helicopter?"

The leading soldier straightened and replied,"Miss, he has been taken to the interrogation room."

"What?!"

Wang Siyi's expression changed instantly—her face frosting over with deadly cold.Wang Xinru rushed out behind her, equally furious.

"Who in this entire military area dares interrogate my brother?" Xinru snapped. "Even if General Sher came personally, he would treat him with respect!"

The soldiers stiffened, stunned.Their eyes widened at the revelation.

The leading soldier hesitated, then asked,"M-Miss Wang… your brother shouldn't be that young, right?"

Minutes later, the group stormed into the interrogation room.

Inside, a middle-aged driver was desperately explaining himself to the interrogator. The moment he saw the three Wang sisters, he lit up with hope.

"Miss! Please save me! I'm not a spy!"

Wang Siyi marched forward, slapped him sharply, and shouted,"You bastard! Where is the young master?! Why did you bring him here?!"

The driver cried and shook his head.

"Miss, I really don't know! The young master said he wanted to take a plane for fun! I prepared everything—but then I suddenly felt dizzy! When I woke up… I was here!"

Wang Siyi clenched her fists, trembling with anger.Wang Lelay sighed and immediately gave the order:

"Check the surveillance footage of the helicopter landing.Search every corner of the area—find the young master!"

Wang Xinru paled, anxiety gripping her.

"With the war going on outside… what if he ran into the battlefield?"

On the high platform, everyone still stood frozen in shock.

That heaven-splitting sword had completely changed the course of battle.

Shuai Hua finally exhaled deeply. In all his decades of military service, he'd seen countless battles…But nothing compared to this.

Feng whispered in awe,"A sword like that… shouldn't exist in the mortal realm."

Shuai Hua stared at the white-robed figure far in the distance.

"It seems this mysterious man is on our side. At the very least, he is not an enemy."He straightened himself."Spread the order! Launch a full assault! Destroy the enemy army!"

The officer saluted and rushed off.

Shuai Hua turned and addressed the gathered Masters.

"With this divine figure assisting us, all of you may enter the battlefield.Break through the enemy base together with the army!"

The ten Masters exchanged excited glances and then descended from the platform.

"I've been itching for a real fight," one laughed."Yesterday's humiliation ends today!""This time, we defend our homeland with our own hands!"

Their laughter echoed as they stepped into battle.Wherever they moved, enemy soldiers died instantly—falling like wheat before the scythe.Even the toughest fighters were powerless before them.

This was exactly why Masters were forbidden from participating in war.Their existence made battle meaningless.

On the frontlines, Shiao questioned Austin.

"How is General Sher now? Is he injured?"

Cold sweat dripped down Austin's spine. He knew the truth—General Sher wasn't dead, but after enduring torture, she was barely hanging on.

But how could he dare admit that?

The youth before him could erase nations.

"H-He's fine! General Sher is in our base!" Austin stammered, forcing a shaky smile.

The four Masters nearby didn't understand the enemy language, so they remained clueless about the conversation.

"Good," Shiao nodded innocently. "Take me there. Quickly."

Naive and trusting, he didn't detect Austin's lie at all.

The remaining three superhumans gathered, trembling, and respectfully began leading the way.

Before they left, one of the Masters called out:

"Immortal! Where are you going with them?"

Shiao turned and flashed a wide, boyish grin.

"They said General Sher is in their base. They're showing me the way. What's wrong, old man?"

The Master flinched, bowed deeply, and quickly waved his hands.

"I—I dare not question the Immortal's decision!"
