I gasped for air as I came to, my breath visible in the chill air. My limbs were trembling from exhaustion. "It's real. It's all real." I stood up. My body moved differently—smoother, lighter, as if the air recognized me. I took a stance. Slow breath in.
"New Moon... activate."
A faint glow pulsed under my skin. My vision sharpened. My heartbeat slowed. I felt… connected.
With Rosa at her home, I sat silently beside my sister, brushing Luna's damp hair back.
She hadn't spoken in hours.
The fever had only worsened. Her markings became darker on her neck like a poison soon to reach her brain.
Then the door opened.
Clone Elric entered with Edward.
He said nothing, just stood there, distant.
I frowned. Why is Elric so quiet? Its very weird for him to be quiet. I get that he is worried but still, this silence?
"You haven't said anything since yesterday," I said quietly. Clone Elric simply nodded, kneeling beside Luna, expression blank.
Edward stepped forward, clearing his throat. "He's… just sad. He's worried for her, that's all." "Is he?" I asked. "He is," Edward replied, very less confidence in his voice.
The silence returned. I looked down at my sister and gently whispered, "Come back soon, Luna…"
