"AXEL!"
He wiggled around in the trash while being greeted by a reddish-purple sky, Axel's mind raised to remember how he got there.
'Ugh my head'
He remembered chasing a small owl with a friend of his, then they ended up on a cliff, after that a weird fairy asked for their skin, he swung at it, but he missed and ended up falling into the dumpster he was in now.
For a moment Axel sat in the dumpster wondering what he was thinking, maybe his dad was right, and he had spent too much reading 'The Good Witch Azura'
He then felt something move underneath him.
"Hey! Get off my garbage!" something underneath Axel said.
In response Axel jumped up out of the bin and looked back at the noise.
He saw something unlike any animal he's ever seen, like a large centipede but larger with hands on the end of leg. Like a crab, its eyes were slightly out of its sockets.
"Kids these days," the thing in the trash mumbled before diving underneath the surface of the bin.
Axel scratched his head, wondering what in the world was going on.
'What Godless place have I ended up in?'
He then turned his blue eyes up at the cliff he just fell from.
It was a tall, angled cliff. unfortunately, it was angled towards him so climbing wouldn't be easy. Not like he would be able to climb it if it was straight up anyways.
On the top of the cliff Axel couldn't see anybody. Neither the fairy looking thing or his friend Luz.
'I have to go around, but I don't know where to go'
Axel then patted his pockets, a fifty-four deck of cards and a few plastic balls.
The cards and plastic balls were for magic tricks, something that Axel enjoyed.
"Alright you know the drill," someone announced.
They were wearing a very light gray bird-like mask which swopped down on the beak which covered the top part of their face. They were also wearing a white coat which draped from their head to their shoulders, then down to their waist.
"Let me see your Coven Sigel," the masked man commented to a woman, a spear in his right hand.
"Here you are," the woman replied showing her wrist.
Axel couldn't quite see what was on the wrist of the woman's arm, but it seemed to appease the masked man.
"Good, good," the masked man commented.
Knowing that he absolutely didn't have anything on his wrist, and not knowing what would happen if he didn't, Axel quickly grabbed a trash bag and draped it over himself.
The masked individual looked around, seeing if there was anyone that he missed.
"Oh, spare change, spare change?" a tried voice rang out, "One dollar would make this old soul's day," Axel said crouched down with a bag over his head walking over to the masked man.
"A dollar?" the masked man replied confused.
"Just a one," Axel replied getting closer.
Axel then bumped into the masked man.
"Sorry, so sorry," Axel said stepping back, "This old mind don't work as fast as it used to," Axel chuckled rubbing the bag on his head.
'Seems like he's an officer, or that woman would have put up more of a fuss'
"While you're here, may I see your Coven Sigil?" the masked man asked.
"My what?" Axel replied.
"Your Coven Sigel sir," the masked man replied.
"Your Coven Sigil?" Axel replied.
"No, your Coven Sigil," the masked man replied tiredly.
"Well, where's yours?" Axel asked.
"It's on my wrist sir," the masked man said showing his wrist, "Now may I please see yours," he asked.
On his wrist was a yellow triangle, on the lower part of the triangle was a shield with two small wings, a sword pieced the shield with two larger wings coming out of the sword.
"Oh, that old thing," Axel said, "Though it's odd, didn't see a Coven Sigel on that person," he said pointing a curled finger at some random person.
"Really?" the masked man said getting excited, "Stay here I'll be right back," the mask man ordered rushing over to the person Axel pointed at.
'And I'm gone'
————————————————————————
Sitting on a park bench right outside a library, Axel had a sheet of paper and a pouch with a few odd coins.
The sheet of paper had a list of things to do and times. Catch wild witches, patrol street, catch transport, return to castle, report, eat, crash. With the note 'Call Mom' scribbled at the end.
The coins looked to be made of some gold substance, with some what looked like a snail shell engraved on both sides.
He got both when he bumped into the masked man and lifted the stuff from the masked man's pockets into his.
Axel flipped the coin in his hand
'I have no idea what this is'
Looking to the building that he was sitting in front of, and he figured that if there was one place to get information it would be a library.
Axel figured that Luz was probably already gone, this was the place of her dreams. She wouldn't stick around in one place for too long.
Suddenly, a very large egg rolled in front of the bench and cracked in half, letting a chunky, accordion like bug crawl out.
After the bug crawled out, the empty egg shook back and forth. For a moment, Axel just sat there as the egg shook.
"No thank you," Axel eventually told the egg.
With one final shake, the egg attached it's two parts and rolled forward.
Putting the coin back in the pouch, Axel walked into the library.
It was, not what he was expecting. Though Axel supposed that nothing that he's seen so far had made sense anyways.
Books flew around him going, well somewhere important he would guess. There were books that lined walls up to heights where even with a ladder they would be inconvenient to grab, and there were small drawers that seemed to be alive.
'Now where's the computer?'
Looking at tables, Axel saw a few people looking at crystal balls.
One looked at video on how to make an 'abomination' another looked at a video of cat's falling over, and another was looking up how to cheat at 'Hexes Hold'Em'. All of the human looking ones had pointed ears.
Finding an empty crystal ball Axel sat down and began to fiddle with it.
After a few moments Axel realized that the ball was most similar to a touch screen. Though the three hundred sixty degree screen seemed to orientate itself correctly to whoever was looking at it.
Though he should say it magically oriented himself, with all the monsters and magic things flying about, Axel guesses that wherever he is, it's magical in nature.
'Luz must be having a field day. Now, let's see what was up with that masked man'
