Chapter 5 - Private Army

Of course, Tzeentch is Tzeentch. Although all of this might be Tzeentch's scheme, Zeke did not give up on the STC template.

That was just a tiny bit of knowledge casually extracted from the plasma gun within the STC template, yet it had already strengthened the Imperium's standard plasma gun so much.

So, if he could truly manufacture the plasma gun from this STC template, wouldn't that mean it was an extremely powerful weapon?

It might look like an ordinary energy gun, but such a weapon is considered valuable within the Imperium.

This is a weapon that only the Astra Militarum can be equipped with. Although some planetary defense forces can also be equipped with it, it can be said that the price of this single gun is much more precious than the soldier carrying it.

Therefore, one can see the price of these standard issue weapons. And the energy gun in his STC template is clearly not something the Imperium's current standard issue weapons can compare to; it is an even more powerful weapon.

Although as an heir to a knight house, he theoretically should not lack money.

But that's not how it works; he needs money. He needs to assemble more troops to protect his own safety.

Over a decade of living in the Warhammer World made him realize how dangerous this world truly is.

This is also related to the star field their family is located in. In the Warhammer universe, the Imperium of Man's territory is divided into five star sectors.

The Ultima Segmentum, belonging to the eastern part of the Imperium.

The Pacific Segmentum in the western part of the Imperium, the Segmentum Tempestus in the southern frontier of the Imperium, and the Segmentum Obscurus in the northern part of the Imperium.

Beyond these, there is also the Solar Segmentum in the center of the Imperium, where Holy Terra is located.

Each sector has its affiliated fleets, referred to as battle groups, and each star field is also divided into many sub-sectors by the Imperium.

The Imperium of Man claims to possess one million worlds, meaning one million colonies under the Imperium of Man's rule.

But in reality, this is just a number compiled by the Imperium of Man's inefficient Department of the Interior; the actual number is probably much higher.

Unfortunately, the knight planet where their Yaeger House is located is within the Cadia sub-sector.

The Cadia sub-sector is located in the Obscurus Segmentum and is an extremely important sub-sector of the Imperium, bearing the heavy responsibility of resisting the incursions of chaos from the Eye of Terror.

In other words, the place he is currently in can be said to be the Imperium's frontline.

This is a frontline!

In these short ten-plus years, he has already seen his family's knights embark on campaigns over 40 times!

Each time, it was either to support a world to prevent it from being corrupted by chaos, or to actively resist chaos invasions.

Although chaos never once reached the planet where they were located.

However, all of this made Zeke, who had a slight phobia of insufficient firepower, feel a lack of security.

It's too dangerous, it's truly too dangerous. He must do his utmost to find ways to earn money and expand his forces.

He needs to strive for every possible chance of survival for himself in this chaotic galaxy.

This is not just for himself, but also for the entire family, and for the survival of this planet after he becomes its ruler.

But he felt that saying this was a bit shameless, after all, the Yaeger House has been passed down for tens of thousands of years, and the Yaeger House is one of the few ancient houses within the Imperium.

Thousands of knight titans make this knight Planet impregnable, so if even they have to consider the issue of survival, the surrounding worlds wouldn't stand a chance.

However, this is clearly not within Zeke's scope of concern. He merely suffers from a lack of security and needs to acquire a private army for himself as much as possible to protect his safety.

Therefore, he had to acquire the items from the STC template, and he couldn't even let the family know about it, because this thing might be a conspiracy of Tzeentch.

If the family were to learn of this, for the sake of the family's continuation or for prudence, the clan elders would surely request to destroy this item, or directly hand it over to the Imperium in exchange for benefits. Or perhaps exchange it with the Adeptus Mechanicus for benefits.

But for no reason, he knew that this stc template absolutely could not be handed over to anyone, because it might invite disaster. He must, or rather, he can only maintain its mystery.

But it doesn't matter; as the future ruler of a planet, he still has the ability to keep this secret.

To develop his private army, he found his father and applied for an asteroid that could be used for experiments.

Thereafter, he used the rewards obtained from trading with the Adeptus Mechanicus to have them build a decent asteroid base for him on the asteroid.

This base would be his secret stronghold for developing his forces going forward.

Of course, he could completely rest assured about whether the things built by the Adeptus Mechanicus would have any secret passages or the like.

The STC template chip in his hand, in addition to storing technology, is also a very useful functional tool.

He can scan the details of any object.

Of course, this also includes the fact that he doesn't know whether the Adeptus Mechanicus didn't want to offend a powerful knight house, or because they felt it was unnecessary.

This asteroid base is still trustworthy.

No problems were found in his scans, and besides that, he also invited the family's private army to conduct inspections.

No problems were found during the family soldiers' inspections either.

He could ensure his safety.

With his first territory, a large amount of remuneration from the Adeptus Mechanicus, and all his savings, Zeke began his first step of development.

Space Marines!

If there's one thing that's most eye-catching in the Warhammer World, it's undoubtedly the Space Marines.

Although Zeke couldn't quite understand why a Stellaris civilization would frequently engage in ground warfare.

Why would they often engage in close combat and such?

But this did not prevent him from following local customs and setting his sights on these demigods of the Imperium.

It was impossible for him to find a space marine to be his bodyguard.

But it doesn't matter; his STC template contains the method for producing Space Marines.

Of course, in the STC template, they are not called Space Marines; they are called Human Assault Team.

The Human Assault Team is the basic ground combat unit of the Terran Dominion; they are the ground combat units for landing operations when the Terran Dominion launches an attack on any alien civilization.

Although the Terran Dominion has almost never launched a landing operation against any alien civilization.

But this does not interfere with the fact that this STC template contains the manufacturing method for this type of soldier.

Through genetic modification surgery and the augmentation of gene clinics, after a standardized process, humans who undergo this genetic modification surgery will be adjusted to have a powerful physique.

Although he didn't have much money, it was impossible to add various genetic traits like in Stellaris, but even a small enhancement was very useful.

From the data, there seems to be no difference from an Astartes.

In fact, in some aspects of performance, it even surpasses an Astartes.

As for combat power, that's another matter.

After all, combat power is related to combat experience and equipment.

But putting everything else aside, just forming his own Space Marine force, forming his own Astartes, is enough for Zeke to embark on such an endeavor.

After all, the Emperor's angels are truly captivating.
