Chapter 5 - Light in the Morning

In the soft glow of the morning, upon the terrace of their grand mansion, stood Isadora, gently cradling her son, Lorenzo. The tender sunlight kissed the baby's skin, and with every smile that bloomed on his face, it felt as if the whole world brightened around them. On his small chest shimmered a strange mark — the footprint of a white wolf, glowing faintly as it bathed in the sun's warmth — a sign of the power that flowed within his blood.

In just a few days, Isadora would return to her business duties, but for now, time belonged only to this peaceful moment.

Scene: The Terrace of the Alcantara Mansion.

Isadora sat gracefully on a white rattan chair, the baby nestled against her arms. The wind was soft and cool, stirring the leaves of the trees surrounding the terrace. It was a morning that smelled of serenity.

Isadora (smiling tenderly at her child):

"Lorenzo… this day belongs to you. Look at the sunlight — it's as if it's telling you that beautiful things await you in this world."

The infant smiled, reaching his tiny hand toward the light. The mark on his chest gleamed brighter, pulsing like a heartbeat.

Isadora (pressing her cheek against his small hand):

"Your father will always be with you in your heart… and I, my love, will never stop protecting you. No matter how many storms come, you carry a light within you that will keep you safe."

The baby laughed softly, a sound so pure it seemed to speak to her soul — a silent, magical conversation between mother and son.

For that fleeting moment, nothing else mattered to Isadora but her child's happiness. Yet behind that golden light, unseen shadows lingered — eyes that watched from afar, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

The sun had risen, but danger does not always travel in darkness… sometimes, it hides beneath the light.

Just then, Aling Aurora appeared on the terrace. Together, they watched the baby sleeping peacefully. Every small movement — each breath, each twitch of his tiny fingers — was a miracle. Their conversation carried both warmth and unspoken fear about the future of the child they loved.

Isadora (softly, with a calm smile):

"Aurora, I know how much you love him. When the time comes, I want you to guide him — teach him to understand the secret within himself."

Aling Aurora (hesitant, worried gaze on the child):

"As he grows, he becomes more and more special. I take care of him with all my heart, but sometimes… I'm afraid. What if, when the time comes, he truly becomes a wolf?"

Isadora (taking her hand reassuringly):

"I trust you, Aurora. When his twenty-first birthday comes — under the full moon — he will awaken as one of them. But for now, he's just a baby. Let's treasure every smile, every laugh. That's what matters most."

Aling Aurora (sighing, nodding slowly):

"Yes, Señora. I promise — no matter what happens, he will always be protected. Especially now that your husband is busy managing the company. One day, Lorenzo will understand everything."

Isadora (looking lovingly at the child):

"And when that day comes, I'll be proud. For now, his older sister, Aliya, will begin her first day at school soon. Time moves so quickly…"

Though their days seemed ordinary, every moment with Lorenzo felt sacred. Every smile and laugh was a glimpse of the power sleeping within him. The sun glowed brighter that morning, and as laughter filled the mansion, the tattoo on the baby's chest shimmered quietly — holding a secret promise to the world waiting beyond.

Across the vast lands of Alcantara, a great hacienda stood — not merely a home, but a monument to the family's legacy and strength.

Hacienda de Alcantara, nestled near the borders of Monteverra Ridge, breathed the scent of mountain winds and ripe grapes. For generations, the Alcantaras had nurtured this soil — every vine planted with care, every fruit harvested with love and discipline, following the sacred traditions of the Aurelion bloodline.

The family's business, once known as Laluna Company, was founded by Don Lucien. Under his leadership, their wines became world-renowned — each bottle a masterpiece, crafted from grapes said to symbolize the blood and honor of the Aurelions.

When Don Lucien passed away, he entrusted his friend, Don Rafael, with the family's protection and legacy.

To conceal the truth from enemies and protect the family's secret, Rafael changed the company's name. Today, it thrives as Moon State Company, based in Lunaris Capital City. The hacienda — once known as Laluna Wines — now stretches across Monteverra Ridge, where endless vineyards bloom under the silver light of dawn. Each row of vines tells a story — of courage, blood, and sacrifice.

The wine born from these grapes is more than a drink — it's a memory, a legacy of valor and the fight for peace that began under Don Lucien's reign.

But the true power of the Hacienda and Moon State Company lies beyond wealth or taste. It is a symbol of influence — and temptation. Not only humans covet it; even the dark wolves crave its strength. Among them, Ignacio, who longs to claim both the estate and the throne of all wolf clans. He knows that whoever possesses Laluna Wines holds the key to ruling their kind.

For the Alcantaras, however, the Hacienda and Moon State are not merely businesses — they are protection, legacy, and hope. One day, Lorenzo, the last blood of the White Wolf, will inherit them. He will stand between light and shadow — and his destiny will decide the balance of their world.

Yet beyond the walls of prosperity, other eyes still watch — driven by greed and envy.

Among them is Bernadeth, Don Rafael's younger sister, who lives near the hacienda with her son, Carlo, and their aging parents, Mang Nestor and Aling Nelia.

Bernadeth is a single mother, and through her brother's kindness, she and her son live in comfort. Rafael provides for Carlo — his education, safety, and every need. But she does not know the truth: the Alcantara wealth comes not from Rafael's hand, but from the inheritance of Don Lucien — the true father of Lorenzo. Rafael's true mission is not to build an empire, but to protect the last blood of the White Wolf.

Greed and ambition may drive people to desire the estate, but they are blind to its deeper secret — a power greater than gold, a destiny written long before their time.

As for Mang Nestor and Aling Nelia, they know the truth — that the Hacienda was entrusted to Rafael to safeguard the child who carries the sacred bloodline. They live quietly, in peace and humility, as the silent guardians of a legacy too great to be spoken aloud.

Narrator's Note:

In the years to come, these bonds will be tested.

Bernadeth and Carlo — driven by ambition and dreams — are unaware of the true weight of the Alcantara estate. But fate is already moving, and soon, they will

step into the mansion… where destiny, secrets, and danger await.
