The captain and the Ruyi Disc user each had a standard one white, one yellow, one purple ring, while the female Soul Master had the only optimal soul ring distribution in the team.
The crowd, who had been booing the Shrek Seven, fell silent. They were awed by the top-tier configuration of the Shrek Seven's soul rings.
Seeing the Mad War Team's soul ring arrangement made it clear how difficult it was for ordinary Soul Masters to obtain high-quality rings. The Shrek Seven's display openly marked them as well-supported or connected individuals.
Faced with the Shrek Seven's dazzling rings, the Mad War Team's mood mirrored that of the audience. Their expressions darkened visibly.
Although Mad Rhino's prior scouting had given them some idea of the Shrek Seven's strength, the five Soul Lords showing optimal soul ring configurations weighed heavily on them. With the Mad War Team moving, the Shrek Seven naturally responded.
A golden light flickered as the noble Seven Treasure Glazed Tower slowly floated. Ning Rongrong's crisp incantation rang out:
"Seven Treasures' names, first: Strength.""Seven Treasures' names, second: Speed."
Fourteen beams of colored light shot from the Tower, applying effects to each Shrek member.
Feeling the warmth and lightness throughout their bodies, the Shrek Seven couldn't help but smile. The Mad War Team, however, grew increasingly glum.
The Seven Treasure Glazed Tower and the Seven Treasure Glazed Sect were legendary in the Soul Master world. Regret filled Mad Rhino—had he known the Shrek Seven included direct disciples from the Seven Treasure Glazed Sect, he would never have provoked them.
But the match had begun, and there was no turning back. Mad Rhino and Dai Mubai simultaneously shouted and charged forward.
"Whoosh." Exhaling lightly, Oscar moved as planned, blocking Mad Rhino's direct rush toward Dai Mubai.
A muffled "thud" sounded as Oscar was pushed back two steps, shaking his tingling right arm, teeth clenching in pain.
Mad Rhino, enhanced by his Martial Soul, had expanded in size and developed a tough, armor-like skin. Using his first soul skill, he collided with Oscar, who felt clearly disadvantaged.
Fortunately, the charge was stopped. Oscar's task now was to pin Mad Rhino and gradually maneuver their fight toward the edge of the arena.
Mad Rhino's heart grew heavy. He sensed that Oscar's Spirit Power level was not far from that of the Shrek Seven's captain—a foe he couldn't quickly overcome.
After a brief physical struggle, the fight turned into raw, straightforward combat. Both realized that their usual offensive techniques were ineffective; it was better to enhance strength and speed with Spirit Power than to waste it on attacks.
With Ning Rongrong's support boosting his agility, Oscar's speed surpassed Mad Rhino slightly. Using three transparent psychic shields from his third soul skill, he gradually led Mad Rhino away from his original position.
To avoid revealing his plan, Oscar did not push them too close to the arena's edge. Once he was certain Mad Rhino could not immediately aid teammates—and they couldn't assist him either—Oscar switched from a head-on approach to circling around Mad Rhino, subtly accumulating energy in his Flame Armor Shield.
With a moment to observe, Oscar scanned the arena. The battlefield was roughly divided into four combat zones. Seeing Zhu Zhuqing standing still in front of Ning Rongrong and Oscar, he relaxed slightly—all was proceeding according to the Shrek Seven's pre-match strategy.
On the Mad War Team side, the alluring Spider Martial Soul controller attempted to use her webs to change the battlefield, but Tang San's Blue Silver Grass defenses blocked her completely.
Squinting slightly, Oscar keenly noticed Tang San, while restraining the Spider Soul Lord, was subtly closing the distance between himself and her.
Before Oscar could figure out Tang San's intentions, his ever-alert spirit power suddenly sounded an alarm.
