Chapter 176 - A Secret Room

Viona's POV

"Did you notice anything unusual in the room?" Rodrique asked.

Even when I still lived here, I rarely stepped inside. At any cost, this room was meant to be avoided. Why? Because this was where my father scolded and then lectured me if I made a mistake, or if my exam rank dropped by one. One rank lower.

So whether it was usual or not, right now it looked like an ordinary study. No gadgets in sight. Nothing that hinted it could hold secrets.

There wasn't even a laptop on the desk. Just a neat stack of folders stuffed with my father's campaign materials for his party.

The unlocked drawers contained nothing but court documents and old cases. Useless to Rafael.

"No. There's nothing unusual. And it doesn't look like what we're searching for is inside these law books." I said irritably, pulling books from the shelves, half-expecting one pull to trigger a hidden door open. Nothing happened. Of course not.
