Chapter 1 - Years Before

It was the year 1611 when the king of Madhavgarh received the news that his precious Crystal Moonstone had been stolen. This was no ordinary gemstone, as it was coveted by four kingdoms and even the Vampire King, Avyukt, who had attempted to acquire it twice before. The king was baffled as to who could have stolen the gemstone without his knowledge. His suspicion fell on the Werewolves, sworn enemies of the vampires, and a war ensued between the two. However, despite the chaos, the question remained unanswered: who had stolen the Crystal Moonstone?

Four hundred years had passed since the incident, and the world had changed dramatically. It was now the year 2025, and Rose High was buzzing with new faces. The school's famous singing band was preparing for their next performance. The band was led by Mia, a talented singer, and songwriter who was also an excellent student. She was the captain of the group and was known for her intelligence and leadership skills. Mia's best friend and co-lead singer, Jessy, was another crucial member of the group. Nike, the guitarist, and James, the bandsman, completed the quartet. They were all eagerly waiting for their new member to arrive. However, as the hours ticked by and the new member failed to show up, Mia grew frustrated and disappointed. She declared that she was permanently disbanding the group, citing that they had made a mistake by trying to revive it.

As the group began to disperse, Mia took one last look at the stage where they had performed countless times. She was flooded with memories of their past performances, but one incident had changed everything, leading her to announce the group's disbandment. Despite the professors' efforts to persuade her, Mia had only agreed to perform again because they were short of one member. However, it seemed that no one was willing to join them. Mia realized that she might not find anyone to complete their group. Defeated, she turned to leave. The group's fate hung in the balance, and it seemed that their musical journey might come to an abrupt end.

As Mia walked away, the stage stood empty, a reminder of the group's uncertain future. The silence was palpable, punctuated only by the faint echo of memories past.

As the students filed into the classroom, Mia and her friends took their seats. Class was yet to begin, and the room was filled with the gentle hum of chatter. Mia's eyes met Sam's, and immediately, Sam began to taunt her. "Oh, look who's back," Sam sneered, a sly smile spreading across her face. "Your group is still incomplete, and it's not like anyone wants to join you."

Jessy, Mia's best friend, was about to respond, but Mia quickly silenced her. The tension between Sam and Mia was palpable, and it was clear that the two girls didn't get along. Sam's jibe was just another manifestation of the long-standing animosity between them.

The reason for their animosity was rooted in jealousy. Mia was a popular student, and both teachers and students alike admired her. This had led Sam to create her own group, which she positioned as a rival to Mia's. Although many students were unaware of the fact, Sam and Mia were actually cousins, connected by blood but divided by their differences. As the classroom fell silent, the teacher began to take attendance. Mia and Sam exchanged a cold glance, the air thick with unspoken words. Their complicated history was a tangled web of emotions, and it seemed that their feud was far from over.

The tension between them was a constant presence, a reminder that their differences ran deeper than mere rivalry. As the class began, Mia and Sam put aside their animosity, but it was clear that the truce was temporary. The underlying tension would continue to simmer, waiting to erupt into conflict once again.

In the midst of this complicated dynamic, the classroom seemed to shrink, the distance between Mia and Sam feeling like an insurmountable chasm. Their story was one of rivalry, jealousy, and unspoken emotions, a complex web that would continue to unfold in the days to come.

Just then, the peon arrived and informed Mia that she was summoned to the principal's office. Jessy and the rest of the group exchanged curious glances, wondering why the principal had called Mia. However, Mia seemed unfazed, as if she knew exactly why she had been summoned.

"May I come in?" Mia asked, seeking permission to enter the principal's cabin. The principal looked up at her and asked, "Has your preparation begun?" Mia shook her head, responding with a simple "no." The principal pressed on, asking Mia to elaborate. Mia took a deep breath before responding, "Everyone is afraid after what happened. That's why no one wants to join our group, and the rumors have spread everywhere."

The principal pondered Mia's words, collecting his thoughts before responding. "That was an unfortunate incident, but it doesn't mean it will happen again. I have faith in you, Mia. You will complete your group and perform at the Rose Festival. You still have six months to make it happen, and I trust that you won't disappoint me." With that, the principal dismissed Mia, who left the cabin looking somber. As Mia walked out of the principal's office, she couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. The principal's words had been encouraging, but the weight of responsibility settled heavily on her shoulders. She knew that she had a long and challenging journey ahead of her, but she was determined to prove herself and make her group a success.

With a resolute heart, Mia rejoined her group, who were eager to know about her meeting with the principal. Though she didn't reveal much, Mia's determination was palpable, and her friends couldn't help but feel a sense of hope and optimism.

Jessy was still questioning Mia about her meeting with the principal when a knock at the classroom door interrupted them. "May I come in, miss?" a voice asked from the other side of the door. All eyes turned to the entrance, where a tall, lean, and handsome boy stood, seeking permission to enter.

Jessy's eyes met Mia's, and she whispered, "Isn't that the same guy we met yesterday at Parkside Area?" Mia nodded, recalling their encounter with the boy, who had asked for directions to the boys' hostel. As the boy entered the classroom, Jessy couldn't help but think about their previous meeting.

Yesterday, the boy had approached Mia and her group while they were discussing something. He had asked Mia for directions to the boys' hostel, and Mia had happily obliged. As he was about to leave, Jessy had teased him, saying, "You didn't even say thank you!" The boy had turned around, flashing a witty smile, and retorted, "I just asked for the address of the boy's hostel not Mount Everest!"

Mia had called him rude, and the boy had shot back another remark before walking away. Now, as he stood in their classroom, Jessy whispered to Mia, "Looks like he's scared of you!" Mia smiled, recalling their previous encounter. The boy's eyes met Mia's, and for a brief moment, they just stared at each other.

The classroom fell silent, with all eyes on the new student. The teacher broke the silence, welcoming the boy and asking him to take a seat. As the boy made his way to an empty seat, Jessy leaned in and whispered to Mia, "I think he's trying to avoid you." Mia smiled, intrigued by the boy's behavior. Little did she know that this was just the beginning of an interesting encounter.

The next day, Mia, Jessy, and James headed towards a lake near the campus. Mia was busy taking pictures, while Jessy collected information for their project. Meanwhile, James was engrossed in a phone call, ignoring Jessy's attempts to get his attention. Jessy and James were twins, with James being five minutes older. Despite their sibling rivalry, Jessy was the more responsible one.

As they worked, Jessy suddenly alerted Mia, saying, "Sam is coming!" Mia turned around to see Sam approaching with Hetal and Kian. Jessy quickly got up, confronting Sam, "Why are you following us?" Sam retorted, "Why not? This is a public place, and I can come here if I want." Mia intervened, calling Jessy back and suggesting they focus on their work. They collected some plant samples and left the area.

As they walked, Jessy asked Mia about Nike's absence from class. Mia replied that Nike had gone out for some work and would return in a couple of days. Jessy looked back, noticing James still engrossed in his phone call. She muttered to herself, "This guy is impossible!" and continued walking.

Meanwhile, Sam suggested to Kian that they explore a different location, as they wouldn't find anything useful near the lake. Kian agreed, and Sam led them to a secluded spot on the outskirts of the city. The area was relatively unknown, and few people ventured there. As they explored, Kian took out his camera, capturing the beauty of the place. Sam, meanwhile, collected some flowers, storing them in a polythene bag.

The area was teeming with exotic plants and flowers, many of which Sam couldn't identify. She made a mental note to research them later. Kian, fascinated by the scenery, continued to click away, immortalizing the moment. As they delved deeper into the unknown territory, the group discovered more secrets, their curiosity piqued.

The sun began to set, casting a warm orange glow over the landscape. Sam, Kian, and Hetal reluctantly decided it was time to head back. As they made their way back to campus, the group couldn't stop talking about their discovery. Little did they know that this was just the beginning of an exciting adventure. As they walked, the sounds of the city grew louder, a stark contrast to the peaceful atmosphere they had just left behind. The group's excitement was palpable, and they couldn't wait to share their findings with the rest of the class.
