A strange ceiling came into view, along with bed curtains. Just one glance was enough to tell that this was a very luxurious bedroom.
Her vision was still blurry. Youmi rubbed her eyes.
"This feeling of suddenly having something extra on my head… and this voice… Ah… how annoying."
Youmi, in no time, realized she had once again turned into a species with horns on its head.
"On the bright side, at least I'm still humanoid. Bad news: why is it another girl card again?"
Sitting up in the bed, a card slid off her chest. She picked it up and let out a sigh.
'Chamber Dragonmaid.'
"Well, first one… got it. Next is…"
She touched the dragon horns now protruding from her head. The texture was surprisingly nice.
"But, what's with that 'sympathetic resonance or matching wavelength' nonsense? According to that, the one who resembles me the most would be Chamber Dragonmaid? So in the end it's all just a setup… At least once I leave here, I can go back to Fallen of Albaz."
"Anyway, let's get out of this maid outfit first."
She was not a maid-fetish person. While she thought girls wearing maid outfits could be cute, wearing one herself was nothing but social death.
Thinking this, and feeling embarrassed, Youmi kept absentmindedly touching her horns; more and more enthusiastically.
Just as she was getting a bit too into it, the bedroom door suddenly opened. A blue-haired Dragonmaid walked in carrying a basket, tilting her head the moment she saw Youmi.
"Eh? Why is Onee-chan Chamber lying in the bedroom? I thought I saw you outside just now… don't tell me you learned teleportation?! Can you teach me?!"
Even though she sensed something was wrong, Blue (Laundry Dragonmaid) filled in all the gaps with her own imagination, tossed aside the basket, and leapt toward her.
Youmi quickly sidestepped, letting Blue faceplant into the pillows.
"Hold on, hold on, hold on! You've got the wrong person." Youmi hurried to explain. "I'm Youmi, not Chamber Dragonmaid. So even if we look identical, I'm really not the person you know."
Following the experience she gained when possessing Lovely Labrynth, Youmi grabbed the maid outfit and pulled—non-scientifically transforming it into a black hoodie and shorts, replacing the outfit that made her feel unbearably embarrassed.
"Mmmphhh…"
Blue pulled her head out of the pillows, stared at the now-changed Youmi, and tilted her head. "You really look exactly like Onee-chan Chamber…"
"Ah! So maybe Onee-chan Chamber is actually a twin! And today, the one who started working is her sister, Youmi? Right after joining, you're already relaxing in the master bedroom, so you must have the same position as Onee-chan Chamber. Wahhhh, so enviable…! Then doesn't that mean I'm the senpai now?"
Youmi stomped the floor hard—Blue practically jumped off the bed in fright. "How does your brain even work?!"
The noise alarmed several Dragonmaids. Kitchen Dragonmaid slid to the doorway with a bowl in hand.
Seconds later, Parlor Dragonmaid arrived with a teapot—and before they knew it, collided with Kitchen Dragonmaid due to a lack of space. Fortunately, both were agile; Kitchen caught both the bowl and teapot mid-air.
However, she now had only one foot on the ground while Parlor clung tightly to her.
"Ehhhhh! Move aside, you two!!"
Just as Youmi, Blue (whose head was stuck in the ceiling), and the pair at the doorway all breathed a sigh of relief—Nurse Dragonmaid came running. Seeing Red and Green already blocking the entrance, she stomped hard to slow down and barely managed to stop herself.
"Hah… Safe~"
Nurse patted her chest in relief.
At the same time—
Laundry Dragonmaid failed to brake, smashing straight into the group. All four Dragonmaids were sent crashing into the wall.
The violent impact shook the room so much that Blue, whose head was embedded in the ceiling, fell—luckily onto the bed.
"Ah, my, I didn't expect things to turn out this way."
Completely unhurried, Chamber Dragonmaid walked over to the messy pile of Dragonmaids and bowed elegantly to Youmi.
Seeing her so composed, Youmi instinctively tried to return the gesture—raising her left hand first, then realizing it was wrong and instead placing her right hand over her chest as she bowed.
"I truly didn't expect the light orb I found in the bedroom to become someone who looks exactly like me~"
Glancing at the collapsed red, green, pink, and the butler, Chamber Dragonmaid stepped into the room and said, "Well then, why don't we get to know each other properly? This place isn't ideal for conversation. Please, come with me."
After spending ages explaining to the various Dragonmaids, Youmi was finally granted permission to stay temporarily in the mansion.
Originally, House Dragonmaid intended to test Youmi's strength through a Duel; however, it turned out Youmi's original Deck could not be brought into the Spirit World. She presently had only a single card: 'Chamber Dragonmaid.'
"So that means you can stay here for around two days, correct?"
House Dragonmaid sat across from Youmi, sipping tea.
"Yeah. I entered the Spirit World on Sunday night. As long as I'm back before Monday morning classes, it's fine. But…"
Youmi rubbed her temples—her head still ached. "I think I saw a terrifying woman following right behind me when I arrived. Who on earth…"
A sudden chill ran down her back. Youmi turned toward the window.
There stood a pale girl with white hair and red eyes—expression dark and gloomy.
"AAAHHHH!!!"
Youmi screamed like she'd seen a ghost.
House jumped, the handle of her teacup cracking under the shock.
"Could you please not joke about something so unfunny?"
House followed Youmi's gaze—yet, saw nothing. Irritated, she set her teacup down, ready to scold her further—when a sudden knock at the door startled her so much she snapped the teacup handle clean off. "Kyaaa—!!"
Under Youmi's judging stare, House—embarrassed—walked over to open the door.
Black, Green, and Red had been sent to clean the wreckage. Pink was bandaging Blue, who had nearly concussed herself. With no one else available, the butler had to open the door herself.
"You're not worried it might be a ghost knocking?" Youmi muttered.
House trembled again, hesitated, and finally grabbed the doorknob.
"KYAAAAAA—!!"
The moment she opened the door, House let out a shriek and collapsed straight backward, fainting on the spot.
Youmi braced herself and looked toward the entrance.
A blinding golden light came first—she shielded her eyes until they adjusted.
Standing at the doorway was a man clad entirely in golden armor, hand still frozen mid-knock.
"I just came to visit. Why did the butler react like that?"
It was Eldlich the Golden Lord, standing there utterly confused about what had just happened.
