Chapter 155 - When the Harem Catches Fire

A gentle breeze swept by, scattering the clouds above. Moonlight poured down, illuminating both Xiao Se and Xiao Yixian.

"Xiao Yixian… even if you're wearing a black robe, even if your aura has changed—your voice, your silhouette, your… everything about you, I could never mistake it." Looking at the slightly strange aura surrounding the robed Xiao Yixian, Xiao Se dispersed his flame cloak and withdrew the Yuxiang Qiluo Immortal Herb, slowly flying toward her.

"Don't come any closer." Seeing Xiao Se approach her without the slightest guard, Xiao Yixian froze. Warmth flickered across her heart—but she hurried to stop him.

Ever since obtaining the Seven-Colored Poison Scripture and the Xuantian Treasure Record he had given her, she had consumed thousands of deadly toxins over the past two years—far more than she did in the original timeline. Her strength had grown rapidly, but her Calamity Poison Body grew increasingly unstable. Anyone who touched her would die instantly from her poison.

Xiao Se shook his head. His figure blurred—and in the next instant, he was already standing right before her. He drew her directly into his arms and said softly, "You must have suffered so much these past two years."

"You… let me go. You'll be poisoned…" Her cheek pressed against his shoulder, Xiao Yixian's body stiffened. Only after a moment did she soften again, desperately suppressing the poison raging within her. Her normally chilly voice trembled with barely-held emotion.

Xiao Se gently stroked her back. "It's fine. I have an immortal herb that blocks poison. And—I've already found a soul bone that can suppress the Calamity Poison Body."

"Soul bone?" Xiao Yixian stiffened, her voice trembling. "You really… found soul bones?"

Over the past two years, she had also investigated the three methods Xiao Se once mentioned. As for the Poison Pill method—needing the Heavenly Flame, a rank-seven Heaven Poison Scorpion Dragon Beast core, and Bodhi Transformation Saliva—collecting these was nearly impossible.

As for soul bones and the mythical Poison-Poison Fruit… she had never even heard a rumor of them.

Xiao Se nodded slightly and took her hand, descending toward the valley. The two of them landed gently before the wooden cabin.

"This is the Yuxiang Qiluo Immortal Herb. It can block all poisons. Anything within its fragrance will be unable to harm you—in fact, it suppresses your poison, preventing it from damaging your body. Keep this near you. It will stabilize your dou qi and prevent uncontrolled outbreaks of your Poison Body."

He placed the luminous herb into her hands.

Xiao Yixian's eyes widened slightly beneath her hood. The moment the herb touched her palm, the toxin in her body—normally violent and unstable—instantly calmed. Even the residual poisons clinging to her skin dispersed little by little.

"Amazing… what a miraculous herb," she whispered in awe.

Xiao Se smiled. With a wave of his hand, two crystalline arm bones appeared—one purple-black, one dark red—each radiating a terrifying aura.

The moment the soul bones surfaced, two massive stone-like energy vortexes erupted from the valley floor. The swirling force even blew open a hole in the clouds above. Only after Xiao Se forcefully suppressed them did the soul bones stabilize.

Xiao Yixian stared at the two arm bones—each as thick as a baby's arm—her mind blank. Even when the wind blew her hood off, she didn't notice.

Her eyes, usually empty and emotionless, slowly warmed as she gazed at Xiao Se.

So he never once saw her as a cursed star…

He had been searching all this time for a way to save her.

Xiao Se continued holding the two soul bones, smiling gently at her pale, poisoned face. Xiao Yixian simply stood there, staring dazedly at him.

For a long moment, neither moved. After nearly two years, they were finally reunited. Many things had changed—but the one thing that hadn't was the sincerity they held for each other.

A soft breeze drifted by. Perhaps a grain of dust entered her eyes—two silent, crystalline tears slid down from Xiao Yixian's long-dried violet eyes.

Xiao Se raised a hand and gently wiped them away. "It's alright now."

"…Mm." Her delicate nose twitched. She rubbed her eyes—and only then noticed her hood had been blown off. She quickly pulled her robe up again and said in a panic, "Don't look!"

"It's fine. Your white hair… is beautiful." Xiao Se smiled tenderly.

"Really?" Xiao Yixian lifted a corner of her hood cautiously. Ever since her hair turned white, she had hidden her appearance completely. Anyone who tried to look at her face usually met a terrible end.

"Really. And your figure's developed nicely too." Xiao Se nodded seriously—while openly sweeping his gaze up and down her body.

There was no denying it—her waist was incredibly slender, her curves captivating. Xiao Huohuo was very close to having a nosebleed.

"You—!" Realizing what he was thinking, Xiao Yixian's face flushed. She shot him a glare. "If you keep thinking nonsense, be careful—I'll poison you to death."

She pulled out a familiar packet of powder from her ring and made as if to scatter it onto him.

"Wait—wait! Heroine, spare me!" Xiao Se raised both hands in surrender, backing away with an awkward grin.

"Hmph. Count yourself lucky." She put the packet away with a proud snort, then gently pressed a hand over her stomach and wiped her eyes as she laughed softly.

Her laughter was bright and joyful—two years of repressed emotion spilling out, her eyes wet with tears.

Xiao Se chuckled lightly, watching her. For a moment, it felt like everything had returned to how it was two years ago.

After a while, Xiao Yixian accepted the soul bones and smiled sweetly. "So… how do I use these?"

Xiao Se explained, "These are left and right arm bones. High-quality soul bones. They can store poison for you, and each one grants two powerful abilities. Just hold each bone to the corresponding arm and circulate your dou qi to absorb it. Oh—right, I almost forgot something."

He opened the Ruyi Treasure Pouch—and out popped the little kitten.

Xiao Yixian blinked at the sudden appearance. Her violet eyes lifted slightly as she shot Xiao Se a pointed look. "Xiao Se, she is…?"

"She's Zhu Zhuqing. I met her while searching for the soul bones. She had nowhere to go, so I brought her back." Xiao Se coughed twice, sounding extremely guilty.

Then he turned to the glaring kitten. "Zhuqing, this is the Xiao Yixian you heard about from Long Kui."

Zhu Zhuqing and Xiao Yixian nodded politely and extended their hands.

"Hello, I'm Zhu Zhuqing."

"Just call me Xiao Yixian."

Their fingers touched—

Their eyes met—

And Xiao Se could swear he saw sparks flying between them.

But before that tension could settle—another wave came.

Long Kui leapt out from the magic sword's pattern.

Then—after being absent for so long—the Queen Medusa herself materialized as well.

Four beautiful women stood facing one another.

Tonight… was destined to be anything but ordinary.
