Chapter 7 - Did I Just Judge by Appearance?! (1/2)

"No empathy?! Your whole family lacks empathy—Lady Herta would never be heartless!"

The middle Mini Herta, looking smug and fiery, launched the first verbal strike.

The entire studio fell silent.

Everyone stared in disbelief.

Shen Teng's jaw dropped.

Ke Yimin was stunned speechless—last time she got roasted this hard was on a singing show, when a contestant came just to flame her.

Zhang Ruonan and Xiao Sa were equally dumbfounded.

This was live.

And the kid just… said that?

Who was she?

How did she get away with that?

Just as producers were about to cut the feed, Xiao Sa received a message through his earpiece.

After reading it, he gave a strained smile.

"Believe it or not…

The one who just spoke is one of our nation's top military engineering experts.

She's got a fiery temper.

Please… bear with her."

The audience was floored.

That tiny girl… a military expert?

But Xiao Sa wouldn't make that up.

And honestly, a hot-headed defense expert? Kind of tracks.

Then it hit them—

What did he just say?

"Please bear with her…"

Meaning… she had full clearance to speak her mind?

She had mic privileges over everyone else?

—"Who is this kid? I kinda love her."

—"Let's be real, these experts dedicate their lives to research. If they wanna roast a celebrity, let them."

—"Exactly. Celebs don't contribute much—what's wrong with getting called out?"

—"Honestly, aren't celebrities built to be roasted? Look at social media."

—"Yo, that logic is wild… but kinda valid!"

The audience quickly warmed up to Mini Herta's savage takedown of Ke Yimin.

And when Ke Yimin realized Xiao Sa wasn't going to defend her—

Before she could even react—

The Mini Herta with the purple flower hairpin chimed in:

"Some people are so shortsighted, they only see the surface. Their vision's probably no bigger than a rat's."

Then the one in the beret added:

"Shortsighted? She couldn't even recognize Lady Herta's divine beauty. Must've installed dog eyes after going blind."

"…Don't insult dogs."

Left jab, right jab—Ke Yimin was red-faced and speechless.

She could only point a trembling finger at the trio and look to Xiao Sa.

"Is no one going to do something?!"

This was, without a doubt, the biggest blow to Ke Yimin's career.

She'd always been the queen of snark, the untouchable judge.

She roasted others.

No one roasted her.

But this time—

She didn't even get to warm up her sarcasm engine.

The other side flipped the table before she could start.

Her brain short-circuited.

For the sake of dignity, she turned to Xiao Sa for backup.

But he just shrugged.

Gesturing to the other two Mini Hertas, he said:

"Sorry, one's a biology professor, the other's a research professor…"

In other words—
