yuno: "—an accident," said quickly, cheeks glowing faintly with light magic.
Silence hung between them.
Asta touched his lips, stunned.
He could still feel warmth.
Yuno: cleared his throat quietly. "Your magic reacted again."
Dark petals drifted down around Asta like floating ink, swaying slowly in the moonlight. It looked beautiful, not dangerous.
Yuno stared for one long moment.
yuno: "…Don't let anyone see you like that , They'll be afraid."
Asta :lowered his hand. "Are you afraid?"
yuno: "No."
voice was firm.
"I'm afraid of losing you."
Asta blinked. The wind felt too quiet.
From the street, footsteps echoed. Two Black Bull members waved.
black bull member : "You!e yelled
"Captain Yami wants you right now!"
Asta :pointed at himself. "Me?"
black bull member: "Yeah, you. Trouble-looking kid with the strange book."
Asta: gulped.
"Guess this is it,"
Yuno stepped forward again.
yuno : "Asta. Promise you'll be careful."
Asta: grinned. "Promise you'll catch up. Rival."
Yuno's hand hovered near Asta's for a second, almost holding it.
Yuno:
"Rival…" repeated softly, voice almost tender.
"Don't disappear."
Asta:
"I won't," whispered.
Asta turned and jogged toward the Black Bulls.
Yami leaned against a wall, smoking, eyes sharp.
Yami : "You,"
"You look like the kind of idiot who's about to cause chaos. I like that. Get in."
Asta: stared in shock. "T-That's… a compliment?"
Yami : "…Sure," .
Inside, voices, laughter, and strange magic noises echoed.
For the first time, Asta felt wanted.
From across the courtyard, Yuno watched. Light magic flickered around his shoulders like small golden wings.
He whispered to himself, almost too soft to hear:
Yuno : "I'll come for you. Just wait."
Dark and light swirled together in the night air—like two magnets pulled toward each other, even when they walked away.
