Chapter 5 - 5

Snapping out of his excitement, Ymir smacked his lips.

Now that he thought about it, he hadn't eaten anything since "resurrecting" into this body.

Strangely, despite this, he didn't feel the slightest bit of hunger in his stomach; on the contrary, he felt much more energetic due to the yin energy returning to his body last night.

Ymir suspected that he no longer needed worldly food to sustain his existence, which wasn't a good thing.

Thinking of American hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza...

Forgive poor Ymir, he could only understand foreign cuisine from some fast food items in his previous life.

However, with that thought, Ymir suddenly felt a craving.

He sniffed the enticing aroma and somewhat eagerly opened the door, quickly walking into the living room.

His sister, Kathleen, had already prepared a lavish breakfast and was waiting for him.

In the morning, Kathleen had changed into a sharp black work suit and was sitting at the dining table, her cheeks flushed, lost in thought.

Ymir walked up to her, pretending to be calm, and greeted her, "Hi, good morning, did you sleep well last night, sister?"

As soon as the words left his mouth, Ymir wanted to slap himself hard.

Was there anyone who knew better than him whether Kathleen had slept well last night?

In that hellish nightmare of curses, a normal person not being driven insane was already a testament to strong nerves.

Kathleen was brought back to her senses by her brother's greeting.

She looked up at Ymir somewhat blankly and forced a smile, "Ah, it was... fine."

Yes, it was indeed fine.

Although the first half of the dream last night had scared Kathleen half to death, after Stark appeared later, the nightmare turned into a "beautiful dream."

How could it not be good?

With a guilty conscience, Ymir plopped down onto a chair and buried his head in his oatmeal, muttering, "That's good, that's good."

"Oh, by the way, I won't be home with you today, I still have to go to work.

I've already prepared lunchboxes in the fridge, so you can rest well at home for the next few days.

I've already asked for leave for you at school."

"Hmm..."

Ymir looked up and saw a logo prominently pinned to Kathleen's ample chest: "STARK INDUSTRIES."

There was no mistake; Ymir remembered this was Tony Stark's company, Stark Industries, from the Iron Man movies.

But was he still a student?

From an angle Kathleen couldn't see, Ymir pouted.

In his previous life, he had spent over a decade studying, from kindergarten all the way to university.

He hadn't expected that after transmigrating to this movie world, he would have to go back to school again.

He just wondered what the campus in this world would be like compared to the schools in his previous life.

It wouldn't be worse, right?

With a hint of longing, Ymir asked, "So, sister, when can I go back to school?"

Kathleen handed a piece of jam-covered toast onto Ymir's plate and said gently, "Of course, you can go back anytime, but the professor at school suggested you rest at home for a while and return to studying after you've recovered."

Although he wasn't sure which university he was attending, the professors in this world were really considerate.

Ymir raised an eyebrow.

His body had never been this good; even the most severe human illnesses couldn't affect him in the slightest.

He took bites of his toast, pretending to be casual as he asked, "By the way, sister, do you work at Stark Industries?

I've seen reports about that company on TV.

Is your boss good to you?

Is your work going smoothly?"

Kathleen's mind was still unable to forget last night's dream, and being called out by Ymir immediately made her blush a little.

"Hmm, it's actually pretty good.

I can become a full-time employee in another month.

When I get my salary then, things at home will be better."

Ymir nodded, and for no reason, his nose tingled.

He thought about how Kathleen wasn't much older than him, only around twenty, the prime age for a young woman, yet she had already taken on the heavy responsibility of supporting the family.

He searched through the memories of his body but couldn't really sense much gratitude from his predecessor towards Kathleen.

What an ungrateful brat.

Ymir lowered his head, drinking milk and gritting his teeth.

If he didn't have the ability, then so be it.

But now that he had hands and feet, and moreover possessed yin energy that ordinary people couldn't comprehend, he absolutely couldn't let his sister suffer even a little more hardship!

He silently swore in his heart, not needing to declare it to anyone, but this was the vow of a man, a true man!

Watching Ymir finish all the breakfast on the table, Kathleen smiled and nodded.

She hummed a cheerful tune, tidied up the table, then picked up a small bag from her room and left for work.

Ymir was left alone at home, but since he didn't have to go to work or school, he didn't feel bored.

He was planning to use this time to properly sort out his abilities.

Attempting to focus his attention, Ymir felt as if he had entered a strange and cold state.

He could even feel his body faintly emitting a chill.

This was probably the ghost's yin energy from the stories in his previous life.

He heard that prolonged contact with this stuff was very harmful to the living.

But thankfully, as long as he didn't deliberately exert it, Ymir usually appeared as just an ordinary body.

However, as his mental power gradually concentrated, his eyes began to emit a faint green glow.

Ymir turned his attention to the water glass on the table.

Suddenly, an invisible force seemed to emanate from him.

The water glass on the table moved without wind, slowly floating up, and in an instant, like a haunting, appeared in Ymir's hand.

"YES!"

Ymir exclaimed excitedly.

Just by relying on telekinesis, he could affect physical objects.

He didn't yet know the exact strength of this telekinetic ability, but Ymir was already confident that it was a very useful ability.

It could help him do many things that ordinary people couldn't even imagine, and coupled with his ability to freely switch between physical and ghostly states, as well as his apparent ability to enter dreams, it seemed that although he was unlucky enough to have died twice, the formidable ghost powers he gained far exceeded his previous estimations.

Calming down, Ymir made a record in his notebook: My Abilities: 1. Etherealization: After transforming into an ethereal body, I can become invisible or choose to appear, I don't need to eat or drink, I don't need oxygen, I can pass through solid objects and am immune to physical attacks to a certain extent; 2. Telekinesis: This is actually another manifestation of the yin energy within me.

I can use energy to affect physical objects in the real world.

Currently, it seems I can at least move a water glass full of water; the maximum carrying capacity still needs to be verified...
