The so-called Abyss Domain was, in truth, the other half of the Great Thousand World—equally vast, equally ancient, and equally boundless. Its territory stretched endlessly, no smaller than the Great Thousand World itself.
Dragged into this place by the Saint Heavenly Demon Emperor, Liu Xi had been caught off guard. Instead of fighting him head-on, the old monster had simply hurled him straight into the Abyss Domain.
Thankfully, the Nine-Turn Profound Art and Soul Control saved him. Though demon souls differed slightly from normal souls, their essence was the same—and thus within the range of his technique. The only issue was the violent nature of Demonic Energy. It clashed fiercely with his Spiritual Energy, causing his Spiritual Energy to continually erode and destroy the demon soul inside him.
But through the transformation of his physique and temporary control of Demonic Energy, Liu Xi now possessed the ability to disguise himself within the Abyss Domain.
At this moment, his features were fierce and distorted, his entire body wrapped in raging Demonic Energy as he moved swiftly toward an area densely populated by demonkind.
He had to know where he was. Only then could he find a path back to the Great Thousand World.
Liu Xi frowned in frustration.
'I really got ahead of myself… With my current strength, I thought nothing unexpected could happen. Who knew that old dog Saint Heavenly Demon Emperor would jump out halfway and toss me straight into the Abyss Domain… Shouldn't have bragged about anything beforehand…'
Another thought surfaced.
'Looks like I won't make it back in time for my wedding… Fortunately, I've made arrangements, and with my current prestige—plus Qin Tian, Qing Shan, and Lin Dong—they'll watch over things. Azure Flame Heaven won't fall into chaos… They'll keep everyone safe.'
'Since I'm already here, I may as well figure out exactly where I landed. If I'm lucky, I might even locate the War God's remains. Since I received his inheritance, I can't let his body lie abandoned in this wretched place.'
'And when I return, I must inspect Qin Tian carefully. With the Sacred Abyss Continent reclaimed and Great Thousand World's experts arriving, the original disaster shouldn't repeat…'
His purpose remained unchanged: prevent Qin Tian from being seized by the Mind Heavenly Demon Emperor. If that demon succeeded, the Heavenly Evil Monarch's seal could be undone—something he absolutely could not allow.
Better to let that monster die early.
After crossing several mountain ranges, Liu Xi finally spotted a massive city of pitch-black stone sprawled across an open plain.
The entire structure exuded cold, sinister Demonic Energy. The rolling energy around it writhed like a monstrous demon beast crouched upon the earth.
Merely looking at it stirred chills.
Liu Xi's eyes brightened, and he increased his speed. This would be the perfect place to test whether his disguise could hold among true demons.
As he approached, numerous ferocious demons came into view, their bodies surging with wild Demonic Energy.
Liu Xi walked toward them without hesitation. Several demons glared at him, but sensing the powerful aura on his body, merely released a wave of Demonic Energy as intimidation—nothing more.
Liu Xi instantly knew his disguise had succeeded.
Good. At least surviving in this hellhole won't be a problem.
Near the gates, he landed with the rest of the demons and joined the queue entering the city.
The nature of demonkind quickly revealed itself.
In just a short span, Liu Xi saw several fights break out simply because someone tried to cut in line. These demons were crude and violent; if annoyed, they cursed on the spot, and if angered further, they immediately started fighting. Several demons died on the spot, their blood spraying across the stones, yet the surrounding demons didn't even glance their way.
This place was unmoved by death. Violence was the norm.
Even Liu Xi frowned. Compared to the Great Thousand World, this place was pure chaos—violence and slaughter lurking in every corner.
Still, his aura was strong enough that no demon dared provoke him.
When his turn came, Liu Xi casually tossed a pouch forward. Inside were several black crystals he had taken from the demons he killed.
Demonic Crystals.
They served as the Abyss Domain's primary currency—pure sources of Demonic Energy used for cultivation, formations, and other purposes. They resembled Sovereign Spiritual Liquid in their utility.
The demon soldiers guarding the gate checked the crystals, sensed Liu Xi's strong aura, and immediately stepped aside with respectful fear.
Weak demons, he noticed, had to pay bribes just to enter safely. If they lacked Demonic Crystals, they were beaten or extorted on the spot.
The law of the jungle was absolute here. Strength was everything. Weakness meant death.
Liu Xi kept his expression calm and stepped into the city.
The Demonic Energy inside surged wildly, far more concentrated than outside. His body, filled with pure Spiritual Energy even while masked, reacted instinctively with discomfort.
Still, he needed information. So he pressed forward into the streets.
Demonic artifacts, demonic medicines, and strange items lined the marketplace. Every object reeked of bloodshed.
He quickly noticed a disturbing trend—many of these things were refined using humans.
Human-refined weapons. Human-refined pills. Human blood-based concoctions.
Liu Xi entered what seemed to be a tavern. A quick glance at the hanging menu told him everything.
Every listed dish used humans as ingredients.
One of the beverages was literally human blood.
Liu Xi's expression darkened. He left immediately.
After exploring further, he uncovered the grim truth: Humans from the Great Thousand World were livestock here.
Men were reduced to labor. Once they were used up, they were discarded—or eaten.
Women were treated as playthings, used to vent desires, and often forced to breed half-blood abominations…
The Evil Spirit Clan.
These creatures carried both demon and human blood. They longed to shed their human side, idolizing demonkind. They were despised by demons yet eagerly served them. They abused humans even worse, beating or killing their own parents just to entertain demons.
If they had talent, they were taken away—no one knew for what purpose.
In this city, Liu Xi felt the overwhelming cruelty of demonkind… and the deadened hopelessness of the surviving humans.
Hope had long since died. Only numbness remained.
"Extraterritorial fiends… every last one of you deserves death."
Looking coldly at the bustling demonic city, Liu Xi's lips curled into an icy smile.
