It was just another normal day for Lim Soohyun. He went to work, grabbed lunch from his favorite local restaurant, and clocked out exactly on time.

Roaming the streets of Gangnam after work was his favorite pastime — there was always something amusing or strange to see among the lively night crowds. But tonight, what caught his eye was a random man standing beside an even more random-looking Gashapon machine.

Obviously, he had to try it.

The price was ridiculous and the man said he can only spin once, there was even a chance he might not get anything. Swallowing hard, Lim Soohyun turned the dial. When a capsule finally dropped into the slot, he exhaled in relief.

The suspicious-looking man handed him the capsule. Inside was a cheap piece of pink gum and a note with instructions. That was it.

The note promised “promotion” and “points” if he followed the tasks listed, points he could later use to buy more capsules. Lim Soohyun did what any sane person would do after reading it.

He sold everything he owned, quit his job, abandoned his apartment, and bought the most haunted house on the market — just as the note instructed.

With a soul that only craved entertainment, what could possibly go wrong?

"You know how I am… Regardless, I have no such feelings toward you, Kiho."


Lim Soohyun muttered, reaching an abrupt forestall as Kiho held him by the arms to make him stop walking back into the room because of him.


"Is it because I'm a kid? Do you still see me as a kid?"


Starting another staring contest, Kiho asked in a low voice before letting go of his arms. Reclaiming his freedom, Lim Soohyun stepped away, not wanting to be too close to him after having flashbacks of the kiss between them just this afternoon. Had he been too blunt in his rejection? Kiho seemed clearly hurt by it.


"I don't know. If I'm being really honest, I still don't know."
