Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Don't Mess with Me

Poor Bai Jingliang didn't wake up until noon, and the first thing he wanted to do was seek revenge on Han Yu.

He pulled back the quilt, and as soon as his feet touched the ground, he collapsed.

He tried to get up but found that his legs had almost no strength to support him. Moreover, he felt a sense of emptiness, indifferent to everything in the world.

Everyone rushed over at the sound and looked at the person lying on the ground like a dead dog, each with a different expression.

Bai Junya shook her head and scolded, "Let this be a lesson for you not to eat recklessly next time."

Lily, on the other hand, looked at Han Yu with excitement and asked crisply, "Bad Pharmacist, do you have more of that Explosive Qi Pill? Sell me one."

"What do you want this thing for?"

Han Yu glanced at her sideways.

Lily clapped her hands and said gleefully, "Of course, it's to feed it to the bad guys when I'm in danger! I've got your idea figured out; auxiliary pills don't necessarily have to be taken by oneself; they can be given to the enemy!"

She pointed at Bai Jingliang on the ground without any scruples, as a typical example.

"Look, it's a powerful loss of control and an extreme weakened state afterward. It's good stuff!"

Han Yu wiped off non-existent cold sweat, damn, he's met a soulmate.

Unfortunately, he was out of such pills, and he had no idea if there would be any more in the future. After all, in a year, the bottle had never produced the same pill twice.

Lily was greatly disappointed to hear there were no more.

Over the past two days, Han Yu had gotten to know them a bit.

For example, Lily was a disciple under the Star Sect, Bai Jingliang's sister was named Bai Junya. Even though he had introduced himself, Lily still habitually called him Bad Pharmacist.

Bai Junya and her brother seemed to be from a wealthy family. Not to mention their manners, just owning this cruise ship was not something ordinary families could do.

However, everyone only exchanged pleasantries, tacitly not prying too much.

Han Yu was merely a temporary guest on this ship, something everyone understood without saying.

On the cruise, apart from the rooms limited to the two women, Han Yu could go almost anywhere, but he preferred to lie on an inconspicuous corner of the deck to bask in the sun.

Given their different statuses, it wasn't possible to truly befriend them, so he preferred tranquility and freedom.

Before he knew it, another day had passed. Feeling warm all over from the sunshine on the deck, Han Yu suddenly sighed.

The new pill today needed someone foolish to take it, but airborne as he was, who should he find?

Night-blooming Cereus Pill: This pill can forcibly enhance the user's bone structure to the status of Dragon and Phoenix, with potent effects that require a hundred-fold dilution in clean water; otherwise, buyer beware. Side effect: At 5:00 AM, good for nothing.

At the initial glance of the effect, Han Yu couldn't help but gasp. The pills produced by the glazed bottle were becoming increasingly terrifying.

This thing looked hard to offload, dragon and phoenix by night, worm by day; it could easily lead to deadly feuds.

He definitely couldn't eat it himself. Who knew what "good for nothing" meant? What if he ended up a fool, paralyzed, and wandering the streets looking for dog poop to eat...

The more he thought, the scarier it seemed!

"Hey! Brother Han."

A voice came sneakily from behind.

Turning his head, he saw Bai Jingliang tiptoeing over like a thief.

It seemed a day's recovery had been pretty good; now he's lively and vigorous again.

Bai Jingliang made his way next to Han Yu, looked around to ensure no one was nearby, then asked in a low voice, "Brother Han, do you still have that pill? I'll buy one."

Sss!

Han Yu, hearing this, took a cold breath and rolled away while crawling to the side.

This guy's gotten addicted to streaking or what, knowing it'll burst his clothes yet daring to come again.

"If you want to die, don't come near me, I can't afford it."

Bai Jingliang's face was flushed with excitement, which made him fearful.

"You don't understand, after recovering today, I found that my cultivation rose quite a bit, more than I'd gain from a year's hard training."

"Brother Han, not to brag, you're a pill god."

With that, Bai Jingliang gave him a thumbs-up in admiration.

"Aren't you afraid of streaking again?"

Han Yu joked.

Expecting Bai Jingliang to be embarrassed, he was unexpectedly calm, waving his hand as he replied.

"Hypothetically speaking, if it's just streaking, of course, no, but if you have a pill that makes me number one under the heavens, I'd first streak to White Emperor City and bring back some local specialties for you."

Han Yu was so shocked by his words that his worldview shattered.

After a long time, he looked at Bai Jingliang with immense respect and said, "With your level of mental realm, it would be unjust if you're not the best under the heavens."

"Unfortunately, I'm out of pills."

Han Yu sighed.

Bai Jingliang wasn't surprised; instead, warmly said, "I heard from Lily that you're sure to be a Pharmacist, just refine more if there's none left! I've got the money."

Where the hell should I go to refine it for you?

Besides, the glazed bottle doesn't give pills for money!

So Han Yu declined, saying, "The materials for this pill are too rare, money can't buy it."

Upon hearing this, Bai Jingliang confidently took out a fist-sized white crystal stone from his pocket.

"I get it, how about this Spirit Stone as a deposit for you."

Han Yu looked at him more differently, thinking, who carries a Spirit Stone with them when going out these days?

Spirit Stones are indeed valuable to cultivators, but one must understand why they are valuable.

Firstly, they do contain Spiritual Qi, and cultivators rely on the world's Spiritual Qi for cultivation.

But it's like the difference between water and seawater; you can drink water directly, but can you always drink seawater?

Spirit Stones contain Spiritual Qi, but they are minerals! Direct absorption is definitely harmful to cultivators.

Therefore, Spirit Stones are primarily used by sects or pharmacists to cultivate spirit medicine, using Spirit Stones for planting. The Spiritual Qi is extracted to reduce its harm, and finally, it's refined into pills for consumption.

This carrying spirit stones directly on one's body made Han Yu involuntarily think of the demonic path forces that had once been popular for inhaling spirit stones.

According to the government, directly inhaling spirit stones has a highly addictive nature, and Bai Jingliang at this moment doesn't look like a decent person at all.

Han Yu considered whether to report him to the authorities after disembarking.

"I'll be honest with you! This Explosive Qi Pill was obtained purely by luck, it can't be properly duplicated."

Han Yu's words shattered Bai Jingliang's recently arisen strongman's heart, and he walked away with his head drooping in disappointment.

And so, another anxious two days passed.

Why?

Because there were two more new pills, it was truly killing him!

Imagining those two new pills spinning in his mind, Han Yu wore a face full of distress.

Yin Yang Reversal Pill: The Five Elements counterbalance each other, Metal overcomes Wood, Wood overcomes Earth, Earth overcomes Water, Water overcomes Fire, Fire overcomes Metal. This pill can change one's attributes, transforming Wood attribute True Essence into Metal attribute, and so on. Side effect: Gender transformation.

This... whoever eats this would undoubtedly be at endless odds with themselves.

Reversing Face Pill: Those who take this pill can restore their appearance to their youthful years. Side effect: Deduct the corresponding years' cultivation based on the age difference; for those without cultivation, deduct lifespan.

To be honest, this pill can't be shared either. If someone spent thirty years cultivating, and you revert their appearance thirty years back and erase their thirty years of effort, the scene would be unimaginable.

However, if necessary, I can consume this one myself, as I'm young. It will either accelerate maturation or be ineffective, and even if effective, I wouldn't lose many years.

As he was thinking this, he heard Bai Jingliang's voice excitedly shouting in his ear.

"We've arrived at Quantai Prefecture; we're almost at the Star Sect."

Soon, the boat docked.

The crowd disembarked in a bustling throng.

The sense of solidity upon stepping back on land was indescribable. These three days of life on the boat taught Han Yu a valuable lesson.

He would never take a ship again.

Arriving at Quantai Prefecture was equivalent to being at the foot of the Star Sect, as twenty miles away was Cyan Cloud Mountain, home to the Star Sect.

As a water and land transportation hub adjacent to the Star Sect, Quantai Prefecture was destined to become increasingly prosperous and thriving.

Leaving the pier, buildings lined the streets, and the main roads spread out in all directions, with shops selling various rare trinkets.

The taverns were full of guests, and the sound of storytelling in the teahouses drew cheers from the audience.

"Candied hawthorn sticks here~"

A vendor carried candied hawthorn sticks along the street, hawking his wares.

What a scene of earthly delight it was.

Upon arriving in Quantai, Han Yu was deeply captivated by the place.

"Let's hurry, in case we run into my master. Today happens to be the sect's purchasing day. My master loves to drink, and he'll definitely sneak out."

Lily said playfully beside him.

The group strolled leisurely, and Han Yu, with nothing better to do, decided to tag along.

After a bit of a walk, Lily stayed behind.

Ahead, there was a crowd of people, seemingly in dispute, surrounded by many onlookers.

The few of them squeezed into the crowd, and Lily looked surprised.

"Master!"

Outside a rouge shop, a Taoist in his fifties was confronting a group of people along with his sect members.

In the opposing group, a young man in a light purple gauze dress, slender in stature, with a thick layer of makeup obscuring his age, moved awkwardly and spoke with a male's voice.

Beside him was another man in his fifties, robustly built, with deep wrinkles on his face and his thick hair half-gray.

"Chi Ling'Er, I've already tolerated you many times, don't push it any further. This is Quantai Prefecture, not your Youzhou Valley of Heartlessness." The Taoist said coldly with displeasure.

The young man, Chi Ling'Er, laughed coldly for a moment, "Your disciple insulted me first, so I must take his life."

The Taoist, protecting his disciple, stepped forward and sneered, "Wasn't what my disciple said true? Two grown men holding hands so intimately in broad daylight, if not indecent, then what is it?"

"And you, Chang Weiyang! It doesn't matter if your Sect Leader disregards ethics, but you too are shameless."

"You dung-throwing old Taoist, I want your life!"

Chi Ling'Er could no longer endure it, roaring as he flew towards the old Taoist.

The old Taoist, after pushing his disciples aside, did not dodge and met him with a punch. As fist and claw collided, it was as if thunder resounded, with the massive shockwave pushing the onlookers back several meters.

"Soul-Scattering Hand!"

"Thunder Shock!"

Their fists and claws intertwined, both parties exchanging moves at a speed that left only afterimages visible.

The final clash's shockwave forcibly collapsed the adjacent rouge shop.

Both of them took a few steps back, their chests heaving, breaths disordered.

Chi Ling'Er gritted his teeth, still wanting to fight, but Chang Weiyang hurriedly pulled him, shaking his head, "Ling'Er, let it go, this is ultimately within the territory of the Star Sect, let's leave!"

"I won't let it go; it's one thing for him to insult me, but he can't insult you. No one can."

Chi Ling'Er appeared frantic, causing Chang Weiyang's heart to ache as he hurriedly embraced him.

"Ugh! Two men like this is indeed an eyesore."

Bai Jingliang muttered quietly on the side.

The expressions of the onlookers were all the same; seeing two men so passionate about each other was truly hard to accept!

Only Han Yu watched thoughtfully from the side, a glint gradually appearing in his eyes.

"Let's go!"

Once appeased, Chi Ling'Er gave the Taoist a fierce glare and was about to leave with Chang Weiyang.

At this moment, Han Yu stepped forward, shouting.

"Wait a moment, you can't leave!"
