Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE

LARA

A life can be shattered in a single, silent moment. Not with a scream, but with a look.

"My world was made of polished glass and golden lies,a cage so beautiful I almost forgot I was trapped inside. Then I saw him in that alley, drenched in neon and blood, his eyes meeting mine over a dying man. In that instant, the glass walls of my life cracked. I didn't know it yet, but I was already his. He was the shadow that had finally found its way in, and he would not rest until my gilded world was in ruins."

ALEXANDER

A possession is not chosen;it is claimed. It must be taken with an act of absolute violence, witnessed by the darkness, and sealed with blood.

"I was a king forged in my father's murder,my heart as cold as the obsidian I ruled. I thought my purpose was only vengeance. Then I saw her—a flash of fire and fear in the night. The Vik-cross princess. Their most protected treasure. In that single, electric glance, my purpose twisted. Revenge was no longer enough. I had to corrupt it. I had to take her, not just from her family, but from herself. To break her so completely that she would only ever be whole again in the pieces I allowed her to have."

LARA

"They told me he was the Devil. They were right."

ALEXANDER

"They told me she was innocent. They were wrong. She was a spark waiting for the right kind of hell to ignite her."

TOGETHER (Omniscient POV)

This is not a meeting of souls. It is a collision of two worlds—one of gilded lies, one of brutal truth. It is the story of a kidnapping that became a seduction, and a revenge that became a salvation more damning than any sin. The fall is going to be exquisite.
