Episode 2: "The First Mission"
---
INT. HART HOUSE – MORNING
Camera pans across the twins' shared bedroom. One side (Henry's) is a mess of clothes, snacks, and random junk. The other (Jay's) is pristine — covered in blueprints, holographic screens, and small glowing gadgets neatly labeled.
Jay, calm and focused, adjusts the settings on a floating spherical drone. Henry, half-asleep, mumbles from his bed.
HENRY
Jay, it's Saturday. Why are you awake before the sun?
JAY
Because the sun doesn't calibrate itself.
HENRY
Whatever that means…
JAY
It means I'm finishing something for Captain Man.
The orb emits a soft hum and projects a 3D hologram of Swellview.
HENRY
Whoa… that's actually kinda cool.
JAY
Kinda? This will scan for criminal energy signatures within a 10-mile radius.
HENRY
...So it's like Schwoz's scanner, but less explodey?
JAY
Exactly.
Jay tosses a small piece of tech to Henry.
JAY (CONT'D)
Attach that to your Kid Danger belt. It'll link us up whenever you're in the field.
HENRY
You sure I can't just have one of those laser wristbands like you?
JAY
Not until you stop hitting your alarm clock with a shoe.
HENRY
Fair.
---
INT. MAN CAVE – LATER
Henry and Jay arrive. Ray's lifting dumbbells; Schwoz is soldering something that may or may not be legal.
RAY
Ah, there's my new sidekick — and his… twin consultant.
HENRY
Hey! I'm the sidekick. He's just the tech guy.
JAY
I prefer "genius support operative."
SCHWOZ
Or "the pretty one."
HENRY
Schwoz, stop giving him compliments!
RAY
Alright, focus up, team. There's been a break-in at the Swellview Electronics Center. Some punk calling himself "Volt Vandal" stole high-grade batteries.
HENRY
So… what, he's gonna power a giant flashlight?
JAY
(serious)
No. Those batteries are military-level. Enough energy to charge a prototype exosuit. If he figures that out—
RAY
—He becomes a walking lightning storm.
HENRY
Okay, yeah, that sounds way worse than a flashlight.
---
EXT. SWELLVIEW ELECTRONICS CENTER – DAY
Captain Man and Kid Danger approach the damaged building. Sparks fly from a broken fuse box.
RAY
Alright, Kid Danger. Stay close.
HENRY
Got it, Captain.
JAY (over comms)
Henry, your heart rate just spiked.
HENRY
Jay! Not now!
JAY (over comms)
Just saying — try not to faint this time.
RAY
He fainted last time?
HENRY
No! That was… a tactical nap!
They enter cautiously. The lights flicker, and from behind the shelves steps VOLT VANDAL — a wiry man in patched armor sparking with blue electricity.
VOLT VANDAL
Captain Man! And… the kid!
HENRY
That's Kid Danger, thank you very much.
VOLT VANDAL
Oh, I'll make sure that's on your tombstone.
Volt charges an electric blast. Henry dodges, tripping over a cable. Ray punches the villain, sending him flying — but Volt gets up, grinning.
VOLT VANDAL (CONT'D)
Try again!
RAY
Oh, I will.
They brawl. Sparks explode. Henry tries to help but gets cornered. Suddenly, a small drone zooms in from above — Jay's orb.
JAY (over comms)
Henry, duck!
Henry drops as the drone fires an EMP burst, shorting out Volt's armor.
VOLT VANDAL
What—?! My suit!
RAY
Nice timing, genius twin.
HENRY
Yeah, nice save, Jay!
JAY (over comms)
Teamwork makes the dream work.
Volt collapses, groaning. Henry looks around, amazed.
HENRY
We actually did it…
RAY
You mean we did it. You and your brother. Not bad for your first mission, Kid Danger.
---
INT. MAN CAVE – LATER
The team celebrates with sodas. Ray pats Henry on the back while Jay analyzes the damaged armor.
SCHWOZ
I must say, Jay, zis is incredible technology. How did you even know how to disable it?
JAY
Voltage patterns. Shikamaru-level logic. Tony Stark-style tech. And a hunch.
RAY
You sound like a comic book I'd actually read.
HENRY
Can we just talk about how my brother saved me again?
JAY
I'm sure you'll return the favor someday.
Charlotte enters, curious.
CHARLOTTE
Whoa, so that's the famous Man Cave?
HENRY
Wait, how did you—
JAY
I invited her. I needed her help analyzing the voltage core.
CHARLOTTE
You know, Jay, for a genius, you could've at least warned me that we'd be in an underground superhero base.
JAY
Consider it… a surprise.
Charlotte smirks, bumping his shoulder playfully.
CHARLOTTE
Next time, I expect snacks with the surprises.
Henry rolls his eyes but smiles. Ray watches them all, amused.
RAY
Alright, alright — team bonding later. But Jay… good work. Both of you Hart twins are shaping up to be something special.
Jay nods modestly, looking over at Henry — who beams with pride.
---
INT. HART HOUSE – NIGHT
Jay's back in his room, strumming a guitar softly while checking his Rumblr notifications. His newest song, "Electric Heart," just hit 20 million views.
HENRY
(knocking, entering)
So… hero and rock star now, huh?
JAY
(chuckling)
Guess so.
HENRY
Don't forget us little people when you win a Grammy.
JAY
Please. I'd rather win a "Best Brother" award.
HENRY
You'd still hack it to make sure you won.
Both laugh. Henry sits beside him, listening to the song — the melody soft, hopeful.
HENRY
You wrote this after the mission?
JAY
Yeah. It's about finding light in chaos. Thought it fit.
HENRY
You know… I think you were born for this, Jay. Not just the music — the hero stuff.
JAY
Maybe we both were.
They fist-bump again. Music swells as the camera pans to the window — Swellview glowing under the stars.
