College life was finally fun.
Assignments? Boring.
Lectures? Sleepy.
But with Ren around, every day turned into a comedy show.
They walked to college together every morning — Ren munching on chips, Aiyumi scolding him like a mini teacher.
"Ren, you'll get fat one day."
"Then I'll just borrow your notes and make you run after me!"
"You won't survive one round," she smirked.
And he'd grin,
"Challenge accepted, Miss Toppersaab!"
During lunch, he always stole her food.
Every. Single. Day.
Aiyumi finally started packing an extra box — labelled 'For the thief'.
"You made me my own lunch box?"
"Because you never bring your own, idiot!"
"Aww… see, you care about me."
"Yeah, I also care about throwing that box at you."
Their laughter would echo through the corridor, earning a few confused stares from other students — but neither of them cared.
They had a running list of inside jokes —
like how Ren called her "Granny Aiyu" for being too serious,
and she called him "Problem Child" for being too lazy.
"Granny Aiyu, drink some water, you're scolding too much today."
"And you, stop breathing near my notes!"
Sometimes, when they got caught chatting during class, Ren would whisper,
"If we fail, it's your fault."
"You're the one who copied wrong answers!"
"Details, details…"
Even the teachers noticed their chaotic energy.
One day, a lecturer sighed,
"You two act like Tom and Jerry."
Ren replied,
"Then who's Jerry? I think it's her, she bites!"
Aiyumi smacked his arm — lightly, of course.
Evenings were peaceful.
They'd walk home, talking nonsense, teasing, laughing until their cheeks hurt.
Ren would race her to the gate every day and shout,"Winner gets free snacks tomorrow!"
"You're buying anyway!" she'd yell back.
They weren't lovers.
They were just two idiots who made every day brighter with endless teasing and laughter.
