Chapter 20 - Hunting Goblins.

We started to travel once more, as I sat in the carriage looking through the guns I knew of. Making up my mind to build the Mimic Speed 9, a 9mm submachine gun. The reason I chose this one is that it's a dual magazine with two 30-round magazines. These fit into your standard M4 pouches, allowing you to hold three hundred and sixty, 9mm rounds.

The rifle and attachments I made only came out to 1,300, with the 10% discount. I made six magazines, along with 180 rounds of wind ammo and 180 rounds of lightning ammo. The ammo cost me 2,700 mana. So I was barely able to cover everything, and I sighed as I began loading the magazine while the women watched.

"What are you doing, Colt?" Tiara asked.

"I am getting ready for when we get to the campsite, as I plan to hunt goblins for a quest, and I need the crystals from them to get stronger. I made a weapon that will allow me to fight longer without running out of ammo, and it should be more than enough firepower for Goblins." I said as I worked.

"That looks odd," Liliana said, pointing at the magazine, as I chuckled. "Once you fire one compartment of the magazine, you take it out and spin it around, putting it back inside. It's pretty smart if you think about it, saves space, and you have more ammo overall." I said as I turned the last magazine around while loading it.

The girls smiled as they watched me in my own little world; they could tell firearms were my calling. Every man needs a calling, mine happens to be firearms. As the carriage moved along, we finally made camp.

Pulling out the flying Drone, I made everyone in the convoy tilt their heads as I turned it on, and the screen lit up. Before letting it take off, this Drone could fly about 7km without losing signal, so I started a zig-zag pattern, and after 30 minutes, I found what I was looking for. It was a goblin village; the quest only asked for ten goblins.

But I counted over a hundred, making me lick my lips. Jackpot, even if their crystals only give me 1 to 2 stat points in intellect. That's 1,000 to 2,000 mana, and it could have been even more if I were lucky. "I am going hunting. I don't know when I will be back. So stay with the elves." I said to Liliana and the girls, who looked worried, but then let out a sigh.

They knew I desired power, but that didn't stop them from worrying about me. They just had to trust me. "Be safe, Colt," Liliana said as she kissed my cheek, and I pulled out the mesh vest, taking the HK416 magazines and replacing them with the Speed 9 magazines before putting it on.

I needed the Goblin bones as proof of the guest, but all I really wanted was the crystals and money from their bodies. As I brought back the Drone in a straight line, I knew which way to go and started walking.

The village was about 3.4 km away from the rest spot. I find it odd that no one has found it, but it shouldn't be a problem for me. As I walked into the forest, I had about an hour or so of light. As I moved deeper inside, I noticed deer bones and the bodies of other animals.

Getting a kilometer out from the village, I sent the Drone up once more to get a better understanding of the village. As I zoomed in on the village, I noticed several elven women being pulled along with a chain, their stomachs bulging as their eyes looked lifeless. This made me sigh, as I have a feeling that I will be needing to take the lives of some elves.

But I know I will give them justice as I butcher the Goblins, as there was only a handful of Hobgoblins and nothing that looked different than the ones I had already run into before. Bring the Drone back down as I stood back up and started to creep towards the village. It didn't have a wall, and the 'homes' looked like crappy shacks that would blow down with a strong gust of wind. Most of the goblins made tent-like homes.

As I stopped at the edge of the village, I switched the Mimic Speed 9 into semi-auto and aimed at the first goblin. Pulling the trigger as the wind around hit it below the throat, where the collarbone was. There wasn't a point to suppress the Mimic Speed 9 as the flashiness of the rounds defeated the purpose.

Downing another one as the village began to run around. As I walked towards it, gunning down the confused Goblins as they didn't know what was going on, by the time I ran out of ammo on one side of the Mimic, I had killed 30 goblins as I spun the magazine and fired the first lightning round.

Now they knew where the fire was coming from as they began to charge me; the smaller ones were used first, while the bigger ones watched on. I noticed one of the bigger ones speaking to another one as it ran off. This told me it was reporting to someone or trying to do something. As I emptied the magazine and pulled a fresh one out, a roar burst out of the village.

As I opened fire on the last of the smaller ones before whatever that was got here, my second magazine was empty, telling me I had downed 120 goblins. I was thrilled by this as a glowing blade of light flew towards me. Making me roll out of the way, as a massive green being about twice the size of a Hobgoblin that had an Elve strapped to him with his dick inside her.

Her stomach bulged out by a foot or two. She had lifeless eyes; I could tell her will to live was down. So I put away the Mimic Speed 9 and pulled the HK416 as the Big green Goblin stomped the ground, dragging a six-foot sword behind him as he rushed towards me. Bringing the HK416 and aiming it, the big green goblin smirked. I bet he thought I wouldn't shoot the elf.

I was aiming at the building in her stomach as I pulled the trigger, cutting the evil woman in half, killing her as he screamed out, falling to the ground, rolling on the ground, as I aimed at his head and shot her. His body was limp as the five Hobgoblins froze, and I quickly aimed at them. Shooting them in the chest with rapid trigger pulls. Putting the HK416 away and pulling out the Duallers, I began to walk through the village.

I found a total of seven elves; it was a small number for such a big village. They must have suffered greatly, as I began to speak. "I can take you ladies back, but if you wish to die, I shall end your life," I said.

They bowed and spoke. "Please, kill us. We don't want to give birth to another goblin." They all said as I walked over to the first one, steeling myself as I pulled the trigger, ending her life. Making my way down the line, their faces didn't have a sad smile but one of gratitude. They had wanted to die for so long, and now someone was answering their wishes.

As I finished killing them, I stored their bodies so the elves could give them a proper resting place. I started walking around the village and found a chest full of common crystals, which made me smile, since there had to be five hundred inside.

There was another chest that had silver and copper coins inside it, as I stored it before walking back to the bodies of the goblins I had killed, pulling up my system along the way.

My Gunslinger and Goblin Slayer titles leveled up. I couldn't really tell the increase in damage as the rounds were already so overpowered. But I could tell it was easier to aim and hit my target.

As I finished up, I got most of the bones, money, and crystals. I stopped on the big guy, and his sword was glowing as I stored it. The words showed up.

[Rare Goblin War Cheir F-Rank Magic Sword.]

So he was a Rare type, but he was F-Rank. The monsters in the forest were stronger than him, as I stored his bones, crystal, and silver that dropped. I turned around and started to head back to camp. I had gotten more than I needed.
