I walk through the door and see Reyes with his back turned, pouring himself a drink
"Reyes!!!"
"Awww Jay my boy!" He says as he turns around
"Where's Mikey?"
"In due time Jay… first let's have a little talk"
"All that talking shit is done… give me my son or I kill you right where you stand"
"You see Jay. I always knew you had that fire in you. All that built up anger just waiting to be let out, now look at you…. Nothing more than a murdering animal"
"I'll do whatever I have to do for my son… if I have to kill all your men so be it"
"Even your son's own grandfather" he says sarcastically
"Especially his own grandfather… I had no problem killing his own mother"
He looks at me with shock
"What did you say?!"
"Go check the basement, your precious 'daughter' is down there"
"You didn't!"
"Oh I did, she told me everything, you corrupted her. And just like how I put her down, I'll put you down next"
I start walking towards him and then he pulls out an unconscious Mikey
"That's far enough Jay"
"Mikey!!!"
Mikey starts to move and wake up
"Daddy…"
"It's alright little man dad's here… let him go Reyes"
"Now why would I do that, he's going to need someone to look after him. Especially since both his parents won't be around."
He points a gun at me
"Goodbye Jay…. I'll take good care of Mikey for you"
A gunshot rings out. I look down…. Nothing. I look at Reyes and he falls over, a bullet through his head. Ms Parker standing over him
"Ms Parker?!?"
"Let's get out of here Jay! Grab Mikey and get to the jet"
I grab Mikey and take off for the air field, we get in the jet and begin to take off. I grab my radio and call for Dimitri
"NOW DIMITRI!!"
Multiple fighter jets fly over and set fire to the whole community, people try to escape before they go down with their homes. I look on from the window, watching everything burn down, Elis old house on fire, watching my home go up in flames. A tear falling thinking of all the memories that were made.
Mikey wakes up and grabs my arm
"Hey dad…"
"Hey buddy"
"Where's mommy?"
I pull him in tighter thinking of what to say as Ms Parker looks on with tears forming in her eyes
"Mom left us… but she said to be a good boy and that she'll always love you"
"Where did she go?"
"I don't know… but wherever she is, I hope she finds peace"
I look at Ms Parker
"Thank you…"
"Don't mention it Jay… I told you I hated trafficking"
"Yeah but thank you for saving me also"
"What can I say… I can't lose the best guard I've ever had"
I smile a little before she continues
"So where to Jay?"
I think a little bit
"Back to a real home… California"
Ms Parker smiles and nods. I look at Mikey as he falls asleep, it's finally over.
