Chapter 4 - 1.4

My week began, and the routine resumed at the secretariat in the morning and at the green in the evening, given that it was the end of the month, I was really saturated, especially at the secretariat, where the typing and photocopying had gone up a notch, no doubt due to the end-of-year reports in the various surrounding structures. Although exhausting for me, it was very fruitful for Anthony the owner, who had a smile plastered on his face all week long every time a new customer crossed the secretariat's threshold, He'd greet them with a smile and give them a deadline, superbly ignoring my sighs of discontent due to the all-too-short time he gave me to finish the pile of work that kept piling up on my table. I didn't get any breaks, and even the little time I had when I finished at the secretariat to go home and wash up before going to the green, I didn't have anymore, so I'd get to the green before refreshing my face. The green, and to think that over there was worse, people came to squander their meager salaries in this club just for the pleasure of drinking alcohol in noisy surroundings while seeing young damsels walking around kissing asses. The work was even harder. I didn't have a minute to myself, circulating between the tables either with my notebook to take orders, or with a tray to serve the customers. Unlike Ane who, thanks to her generous curves, was offered beers that she converted into cash, not to mention the multiple tips that were stuffed into her bra, especially as she knew how to tease, she felt comfortable in her body. I think, thanks to her highly developed and super-active sexuality, she really had confidence in herself, which enabled her to strut royally among the tables, letting herself be touched and sometimes even accepting one-night stands from certain customers in the VIP area, which multiplied her assets. I'm almost certain that his salary is only a tiny fraction of what the green earns him each month, unlike me, who earns very little. I'm not comfortable in my work clothes, so I don't let myself be pawed. I'm more focused on trying to get touched as little as possible, while remaining polite, because the slightest complaint from a customer would make the prince feel fatal, and could even cut his monthly salary in half.

Although the customers didn't like me very much, it was hard for them to find grounds for complaint against me, and besides, my looks had nothing for their peers, so I don't think my attitude bothered them that much.

I was taking a deep breath when, on Friday at around 7pm, I sent my last email of the week. I'd finished all my work on time to the great satisfaction of my clients, at least I hope so. I cracked my knuckles and tilted my head back to relax my neck muscles and I met Anthony's gaze, who grinned at me, waving his phone in the air.

- I've just received the final transaction for your magnificent work this week, thank you Lalie, really

- You're welcome, don't worry, I've just done my job,' I replied, a hypocritical smile on my lips, barely holding back a bloody remark about the slave-like treatment he had consciously subjected me to this week.

- If you like, we can go for a drink to celebrate this successful week and to thank you for giving it your all.

Hide your joy though I

- I'm sorry, I can't, I'd love to, but I've got an unavoidable program right after. Thinking about my work at the Green

- I can see why I didn't give you any advance notice, you must have someone waiting for you outside these four walls, he said, a mocking smile on his lips.
