Well I didn't expect much when I wrote the message on the answer paper.
Ayanokouji, sitting in front of me, calmly examined my answer sheet, marking right and wrong ones, and when the final page came, he didn't move an inch.
Neither did he show any reaction.
You might ask me, what I mentioned in it, and what are my exact intentions.
Honestly, even if I didn't intervene, Ayanokouji would have blocked each and every one of Tsukishiro's moves on his own.
I am pretty sure of that.
Yet, there are things I want to achieve for myself too.
I want complete security of my peaceful life.
And I would go to any length for making it happen.
My message was clear.
I have left Ayanokouji to deal all his shit with Tsukishiro, just by letting him know that I know what he is doing , and what his past is.
So it would be best if he didn't interfere me, and leave me be.
Now that I am remembering what Ayanokouji has been doing since I reincarnated, there are a few gray areas, but I am starting to get a clearer picture of what he is really doing.
First he fixed lose ends of the most effective class, that is this one, like Sudou, Horikita, Hirata, Kushida.
They will be truly indispensable for class fights over the place of class A.
But he didn't wait there.
He is shaping up other capable leaders of other classes too, like Ichinose, and Ryuen.
Basically, he is improving the capable students, and making them more powerful leaders.
In a way, you might say, he is trying to increase the competition for class A, but I am not sure about that part.
But there is one thing I am sure of.
I, Yamauchi Haruki, is also on his radar.
Not as a lose end, because if he wanted to expel me, then he would have taken action a long time ago.
But, after seeing my actions, he has begun investigating me more and more, through Sakayanagi, Horikita, and another quiet girl from Ichinose's class.
This message is sort of a warning.
'I won't interfere your actions, so you stay away from my way too.'
This is what I wanted to say.
His reaction was lackluster, as always.
After readingy answers along with the message, he gave me side glance, and started evaluating the marks I got.
And it was
112/250.
Merely a bit greater than 40%.
.....
Have I become this much dumb?
On the other hand, I had evaluated Ayanokouji's answers in the meantime, summing to be 164/250.
Just above 60%.
I know he deliberately scores below average, but the fact that his low score was even higher than me, was so frustrating.
Can I pass this exam without mishap myself?
This question erupted in my mind.
The exam ended after we returned each of our answer sheets to each other.
I left the class immediately towards the convenience store beside the mall.
The best way to blow away this stress is to blow out a cigar.
Deciding upon it, I moved towards the convenience store immediately after getting out of the school building.
"Yamauchi senpai."
I heard someone call out my name.
It was a familiar voice, and as I turned around it was a familiar face too.
The one first year, whom I teamed up with for this special exam.
Short stature, with long blonde hair.
Rika Hoshino from class 1B.
"What is it?", I asked, not clear what her intentions are.
"May I talk with for a few minutes?"
She asked in a polite tone.
I was totally irritated by that.
Girl, why are you after me now?
Go play with your friends or something?
Why would you want to talk with such a boring senior, out of nowhere?
Didn't you consider that I might have some plans after school?
Well, I was just going to buy a cigar packet from the store, but it's also a very important task.
Why did you feel the need to interfere me?
Keeping that fact aside, I decided it to be best if I listened what she had to say.
This better be related to the special exam, or else I am going snap at her.
"Yeah, then, let's go to a less crowded place."
I said, and we started moving towards a different route to the dormitory, which most of the students ignore.
There was a small garden along the way.
Not many people visit it, so it would be the best place to talk about personal things.
Maybe I should make it my personal spot for hanging out, as not many knows about it too, the garden being really normal, nothing flashy.
***
"Such a nice place.", Hosino said, taking a seat on the bench beside the garden.
Now that I think about it, I shouldn't have showed it to her.
Well, I am sure she would most probably find this place boring after sometime and leave.
So, I have nothing to worry.
"So, what did you want to talk about? Is it urgent?", I asked rushing her to get to the main point immediately.
"Alright, I will start."
She turned towards me, with a serious expression.
"Senpai, do you know what a white room is?"
"....what?"
