Chapter 20 - The Widow in the Mansion 19

Yu Deng didn't know yet that his good stepson was already engaged in a conversation with the chosen killer, even discussing the important issue raised by Cheng Xiao.

Of course, discussing how to win over the young widow's affection was not the intended topic for the killer miss.

Yu Deng had already stepped out of the room.

The sky outside still hadn't lit up, with a light rain falling and a chilling wind blowing. He wondered if the players had noticed the changes in the mansion.

Not wanting to get wet in the rain, Yu Deng asked a servant for an umbrella.

The fine raindrops fell in the gloomy mist, visibility reduced to just one or two meters, everything around appearing hazy.

Yu Deng wanted to turn back immediately.

But since he was there, he decided to do something to ease his fear.

"System, accompany me to unravel the plot.."

[Okay]

The name Cheng Xiao mentioned in his ear was Lin Zhiyue.

Yu Deng had never considered her before, and now he struggled to understand what Miss Lin might have gone through.

Complications don't always occur among peers. Based on chronological reasoning, Miss Lin was likely subjected to the intrusion of the Cheng family patriarch and grandson, perhaps even something more severe, leading her to commit murder.

If that were the case, the so-called heroic rescue at the school was simply a cover-up.

Yu Deng thought, if Miss Lin truly experienced those events, he wouldn't sympathize with the deceased Cheng family members at all.

Bullying vulnerable women was despicable behavior.

However, in an infinite instance, players are also innocent, Yu Deng thought with concern.

Behind Yu Deng, the mansion was completely out of sight, as if last night's scene was replaying.

Yu Deng stared down the endless road. Nervous and frightened, his heart raced.

"System, I want to go home..."

System 01's electronic voice remained steady, [I am here with the host.]

As the distance from the mansion grew further. Yu Deng felt he had walked for at least half an hour before hearing the system's voice.

[You're here. Please be careful, host.]

Yu Deng's special ability had a progress bar of about fifty percent. He activated his power, but unlike previous times, this time his body temperature didn't change significantly, just feeling slightly lighter.

Folding his umbrella, Yu Deng cautiously traversed through the dense fog and finally saw what awaited him.

Before him was a flat area, covered in gray-brown gravel, devoid of vegetation, with only a few scattered weeds.

In the center of the flat area, there was a recess, which turned out to be a coffin.

The coffin, in red and black, was of an indiscernible material, with thick, cold coffin boards nailed securely and sealed by long nails.

The coffin was adorned with talismans painted in cinnabar.

Yu Deng stood at the edge, shuddering.

"Is the fierce ghost I need to seal inside there?"

[Yes.]

"But it seems like the one inside can't get out."

The coffin was sealed tightly, with nails and various talismans, indicating that whoever sealed it did not want its contents to see the light of day again.

As Yu Deng muttered, the coffin wobbled slightly. The firmly embedded nails began to loosen and slowly fell away.

Yu Deng's heart raced, letting out a small whimper.

He needed to finish the task and get out of there quickly.

Clutching the umbrella tightly, he tried to look imposing as he faced the coffin. "L-let me re-seal you!"

As he spoke, all the nails fell off, the dark gold and cinnabar talismans twisted and blurred, and the coffin lid slid aside.

Pure black mist poured out of the coffin, and the being inside opened its eyes, its gaze deep, looking at its former wife.

Sealed again... Could such a beautiful person also have such a cold and vicious heart?

The black mist grew more agitated, extending toward Yu Deng.

Yu Deng's vision went black. "This is the end."

Yu Deng planted the umbrella on the ground, stubbornly not falling, but tears streamed down uncontrollably.

Seeing Yu Deng crying, the malevolent spirit slowly retracted its previous thoughts.

This soft little wife couldn't have any bad intentions, could he?

The spirit smiled, its lips curling up, and the black mist wrapped around Yu Deng, whispering gently.

"My dear wife is so cute."

Yu Deng's mind went blank. "What...?"

Wait, isn't he a widower?

The ghost gazed at Yu Deng in his arms, mesmerized as he lightly licked the delicate earlobes, the white jade-like soft flesh quickly turning red.

"My wife shouldn't forget, who is your husband, right?"

Yu Deng slightly parted his lips, still in shock.

The black mist around the ghost dissipated slightly, revealing handsome features. He appeared to be in his early thirties, exuding a mature and refined aura.

Yu Deng was stunned.

The man looked familiar, and his voice sounded familiar.

Wait... isn't this his deceased husband? Could the deceased husband actually be the hidden fierce ghost?

As Yu Deng remembered his late husband's appearance, he also recalled where he had heard that voice before - the shadow from last night.

So, the shadow he encountered was actually the fierce ghost boss, his late husband!

Yu Deng was completely baffled.

The cold aura enveloped him, tightly coiling around his waist. The ghost gently caressed Yu Deng's cheek, inquiring with a mature patience, "Do you remember me, my wife?"

Yu Deng murmured softly, "Cheng Chaolin."

"Mm," Cheng Chaolin seemingly politely inquired, "Do you really want to seal me?"

Yu Deng glanced at his late husband, honestly expressing his desire, "If possible.."

"How ruthless of you."

The black mist swirled around, enfolding Yu Deng. Cheng Chaolin reached out and placed his hand on Yu Deng's waist, sighing.

"Although we never had a substantive relationship after our wedding, shortly after the marriage, I had an accident. But to see you now trying to seal me, it's truly heartbreaking."

Yu Deng watched the crestfallen ghost and suddenly felt he had done something heinous.

Well, it seemed quite bad, but he had to complete the task.

"And I heard, my wife wants to sever ties with me because of that rascal Cheng Xiao."

"Not true," Yu Deng muttered softly, "I thought you already..."

Widowhood and the dissolution of a marriage aren't quite normal, oh wait, centuries ago there wasn't such an idea; it was about remaining a widow.

"That's simple, we'll just remarry."

As long as his beautiful little wife stayed away from those ill-intentioned men, especially his prodigal son.

The powerful ghost gazed at the frail human in his arms, lowered his head, and gently captured those soft lips.

The cold lips and warm, soft touch intermingled, the blush on the delicate flesh soon shimmering with moisture, slowly swelling.

Yu Deng was confined in the narrow coffin, enduring the kiss full of looting implications from his late husband.

The once mysterious coffin gradually took on a romantic hue, filling the air around Yu Deng with a sweet, intoxicating fragrance.

The extended kiss finally ended, leaving Yu Deng breathless, the corners of his eyes aflush with moisture, his eyelashes dampened by tears, looking pitiful.

"I... I don't like coffins."

His back was sore.

Cheng Chaolin was indulgent of Yu Deng's meager request.

He embraced Yu Deng, waved his hand, and with a crackling sound, the ominous black coffin instantly shattered into powder within seconds.

The next moment, the space around them was filled with churning mist, a mansion appearing out of nowhere, while a dark red bed materialized beneath them.

Yu Deng looked down at his own hand, then at his late husband's hand, his eyes filled with envy.

So powerful.

Cheng Chaolin noticed the faint aura around Yu Deng, seemingly connected to his. He squinted, brushing his fingertips over Yu Deng's lips.

"My wife, do you desire this power? Kiss me again, and I'll give you the power."

Yu Deng lightly pressed his lips, feeling an immediate sting. He looked at his late husband, who seemed eager to kiss, and crawled towards the edge of the bed, sternly refusing, "No more kissing."

Unexpectedly, this attempt to escape crossed the ghost's line.

The black mist entwined around Yu Deng's ankle, slowly dragging him back.

Yu Deng was pinned down on the chilly sheets, his late husband half-kneeling before him. The tendrils of shadowy aura transformed into restraints, intimately and unwaveringly binding his wrist to the bedpost.

Yu Deng's light knit sweater had already been torn by the sharp aura, revealing the delicate skin beneath.

There were faint marks left by bad dogs on his collarbones.

Amid the all-encompassing gray-dark hues, Yu Deng's whiteness, beauty, pink lips and the corners of his eyes, the trembling cherry blossoms on his fair skin peeking from the partly covered shirt, created the most vibrant colors in this space.

"Then, can I not kiss your lips?"

Appearing to consult, the ghost leaned down, his lips and tongue covering those marks not left by him, then biting into the fragrant flesh, his sharp teeth grazing the beautiful cherry pink, gently grinding.

"When I'm gone, you'll let that rascal bully you."

Yu Deng couldn't move, his body entwined with the chilling mist, yet irritated by the menacing stimulation, his whole body feeling itchy. His nose tip reddened, hot tears falling down.

Yu Deng, displeased, raised his leg and gave his late husband a firm kick.

"Aren't you bullying me right now? That hurts."

Cheng Chaolin relaxed his grip slightly, bending down to lick away Yu Deng's tears. "Don't cry every time we meet, my wife cries."

Yu Deng felt wronged. "My wrists are uncomfortable. Why tie me up?! You're being unreasonable; you're also a scoundrel!"

Clearly, Mr. Shadow was so obedient the last time they bathed together.

Cheng Chaolin had not said anything yet, as his black mist tendrils had loosened from Yu Deng with a soft click.

Even bending into a small coil, he gently rubbed Yu Deng's wrist.

"My wife, ghosts are not reasonable." While saying this, Cheng Chaolin still held Yu Deng's wrist, gently massaging the red marks.

However, did that rascal 'also' tie you up?"

Yu Deng turned his head, his pretty face tensed, ignoring his late husband.

When a delicate wife is bullied badly, she will get angry.

Cheng Chaolin gazed at Yu Deng. After transforming into a ghost, his inner emotions were no longer bound, his desires infinitely magnified.

He wanted to bully, to make him cry, but also to hold him in his hands and cherish him.

Maintaining an appearance of refinement, yet his actions were obsessively, sickeningly entrapping his delicate wife.

Though an immensely powerful ghost, he wrapped his arms around Yu Deng's soft, slender waist, like a docile animal pleading to its master.

"My wife, don't look at others."
