Chapter 7 - Another Fox (Not Just Any Fox)

"—Attention please! Today is dark, and the omens are good, so this me will now descend upon Earth~."

The voice echoed everywhere. It was Konyanskaya's exceedingly leisurely voice.

The fire fiercely. It flared even larger, illuminating the ceiling.

Even so, there was no end in sight. It seemed a considerably powerful Cursed Spirit had created this space.

Or perhaps, the space itself possessed such characteristics.

"—Now, take this. Tunguska, Nine Drive (Heavenly Flash. Harmonious Meteor Shower)!!"

Finally. An overwhelmingly massive mass, wreathed in fire, charged forth.

Its surface was rough and uneven, a form rarely seen in reality. It was a meteorite.

"No, what the..."

Toji muttered, watching the falling meteorite. He seemed surprised, having never seen one before.

"It will fall soon. Prepare yourselves."

Even this much was a suppressed level. If she had unleashed her Noble Phantasm at full power, we would have been caught in it too.

CRASH!

Finally, the fire-wreathed meteorite collided with the domain, destroying it entirely.

Flames spreading from a single point, extending in all directions. A deafening roar and vibrations. It was a sight that seemed to foreshadow the end of the world.

Eventually, the Innate Domain, which was pushed back not just at its center but as an entire space, vanished. It was a perfect explosive ending.

I closed my eyes and covered my ears at the deafening roar. My eardrums and eyes felt like they would burst.

Naturally, Toji, with his sensitive senses, acted just like me. It must have been several times harder for him than for me.

We waited in that state. Only after the light and noise subsided did we straighten our posture.

'We've arrived.'

Looking around, we had returned to the dark tunnel. Toji remained silent.

"Master. How was it? It was your first Noble Phantasm debut, are you alright? Are you not hurt or dizzy?"

Konyanskaya, who had been in the distance, approached and asked. Judging by the wind, she seemed to have hurried over.

"Oh, I'm fine."

I nodded, looking at Konyanskaya.

Originally, in the Fate series, when a Noble Phantasm is used, the Master's magical energy is depleted. The larger the scale, the greater the amount.

Even so, I was perfectly fine. Even if I assumed it had been drained, I felt nothing.

Either I was receiving some kind of backup, like in my Chaldea days, or my magical energy capacity had increased to an absurd degree.

It was largely one of these two, but the former was more likely.

'So the Servant limit isn't a magical energy issue...'

In the end, it came back to confirming once again that it was a cost issue. If it had simply been a magical energy problem, it would have been solved by now.

"Anyway, it's resolved, so let's go out. The air is too gloomy and stale, I don't like it."

"Yes, Master."

Konyanskaya took my hand and walked ahead. Toji also walked beside me, still gripping his sword.

"Mr. Toji. No Cursed Spirit reactions, right?"

"Yeah. Completely wiped out. I don't feel anything."

"That's a relief."

"I'm just speechless. I've never seen or heard of a Jujutsu that drops meteorites. Is it even Jujutsu in the first place?"

"Well."

A Noble Phantasm is the materialized anecdote, individuality, and equipment of an individual. It is not Jujutsu.

Of course, they are similar in that they vary greatly depending on individual characteristics... but Jujutsu is Jujutsu. A Noble Phantasm is a Noble Phantasm.

"Even that Limitless brat wouldn't be able to do something like this. The more I know, the more ridiculous it gets."

Toji chuckled and mumbled. The "Limitless brat" clearly referred to Satoru Gojo.

"If you mean Limitless, are you talking about the Gojo family?"

"Yeah. They're on a high because the Six Eyes and Limitless Jujutsu have combined for the first time in a long while. It'll be their world for a while."

That's true. Among modern Jujutsu Sorcerers, no one could match Satoru Gojo.

However, that's only when considering physical prowess. There are many variables in reality, and basic specs aren't everything in combat. Toji, walking right next to me, is a good example of that.

A schedule that forces mental exhaustion. Weapons that nullify Jujutsu. He defeated Satoru Gojo by skillfully using these elements.

'If he had pierced his head completely, he would have killed him perfectly.'

It was just a bit lacking in the finishing blow, but it was an unavoidable situation, because killing him would have ruined the flow of the story.

In the end, he got cursed at in the later part, but this too was unavoidable. Because the author himself drew it that way.

"Ah."

Thump.

As I exited the tunnel, my heart throbbed once again.

The heavy sensation of my body suddenly expanding. The refreshing feeling of my stuffy nose, blocked by rhinitis, clearing up swept over me.

"Master. Are you alright?"

Konyanskaya knelt before me and asked. She seemed to have noticed my changed state.

"I'm fine. Very good."

It wasn't a lie; I genuinely felt great. My vessel felt empty.

'No, that's not right.'

More precisely, it felt as if another empty vessel had appeared. If my prediction was correct...

"Konyanskaya. Shall we try summoning one here?"

"Summon? What..."

Konyanskaya stopped speaking mid-sentence and her eyes widened. She seemed to have caught on.

"Surely, a Servant?"

"Probably. I feel like the cost has increased, but I'll have to check to be sure."

"Understood. There are no people or Cursed Spirits around, so there should be no problem summoning here."

I thought the same. This environment was more than enough.

"Wait."

Just before I was about to summon a Servant, Toji spoke up. He seemed quite flustered.

"Yes. Speak."

"That 'Servant' thing, are there several of them? Not just one of those monsters?"

"There are several."

As I answered calmly, Toji's lips twisted. I couldn't tell if he was pleased or displeased.

"It seems I'm collared by a much bigger fish than I thought."

"Are you uneasy?"

"Uneasy? On the contrary, I'm relieved. With a backer this powerful as a master, even a slave can show some temper. You know the saying, 'If you're going to be a slave, be a slave in a rich household,' right?"

That's true. A slave in a rich household is certainly different from an ordinary slave.

"You're not wrong."

"Right. Sorry for interrupting. Carry on."

"Yes."

I took a light breath and composed myself.

Originally, summoning in Fate is a type of magic. As an old work, it has a cliché-ridden summoning incantation.

In Grand Order, sometimes it's done, sometimes not. There was always something ambiguous about it.

Anyway.

A typical Servant summoning requires a magic circle and an incantation, with magical energy as a bonus.

However. After coming here, that process changed. It was more like selecting a waiting Servant and calling them forth.

Whoosh. As I closed my eyes and concentrated, the surroundings darkened. My body also felt like it was floating.

"—Master."

After a brief pause, voices were heard from all directions. They were the voices of the Servants I had summoned.

To be precise, only Servants with high Bond levels among them were present... but their numbers were not small.

High-tier Servants were each an army. Even Servants with poor performance in the game were flying around here.

"Alright. Everyone, calm down."

I first quieted the chatter from all directions. Since I met them every day in dreams, it was okay to be a little blunt with them.

"..."

Fortunately, silence fell as soon as I spoke. It was simply something to be grateful for.

I focused inward and conversed with the many Servants I had summoned. This too had been impossible during my Chaldea days.

"It seems I can summon one more Servant, so I came to test it out. I'm trying to figure out who would be best."

As I spoke, the air stirred. They seemed highly expectant.

Seeing their faces every day was one thing, but appearing in reality was another. Everyone had reason to be excited.

Who should I choose? I wanted to summon all of them, but for now, one was the limit.

"I want to summon all of you, but it seems I've found a way to increase the summoning cost. I'm working on it, so please bear with me a little longer."

"—Yes, Master."

"—If Master says so, I'll trust it. Even if it's a bit frustrating, I can see your face every day."

"—There's no rush. Safety comes first."

"—It's a relief that a means has appeared."

All sorts of comments poured in from every direction. My heart felt reassured thanks to their comforting voices.

'I've decided.'

After a brief pause, I called out the Servant's name.

"Light Konyanskaya."

Immediately after calling her name. The surroundings brightened, and the darkness vanished.

Evening moonlight streamed from the sky. Fairly refreshing air flowed over the ground.

And, another Servant stood before me. Just as a matter of course, naturally. She stood there without the dazzling effects typical of Servant summoning.

"Thank you for summoning me this time. Since I've been called after a long time, I should formally greet you once again, shouldn't I?"

A beautiful woman in a bodysuit. A Servant resembling Dark Konyanskaya smiled. If their clothes had been the same, they would have been indistinguishable.

It couldn't be helped. Because she was a Servant branched from the Beast Konyanskaya, only her aspect was different.

"Long time no see."

I nodded, looking at Light Konyanskaya, or Light Koyan.

Light is Light Koyan, Dark is Dark Koyan. The nicknames used in the community were ambiguous, so I should think of other nicknames.

Or should I just call them by their classes? Light is Assassin. Dark is Foreigner.

"How is your physical condition?"

With Toji's eyes wide open, Konyanskaya asked. It was the Light one, of course.

"Good. I'm not dizzy, and I don't feel strained. I'm comfortable."

"I'm glad to hear that. It seems my other self assisted very appropriately."

Light Konyanskaya smiled, facing Dark Konyanskaya. Their voices were as identical as their appearances.

Their faces, the size of their breasts and buttocks, their thighs. Even the curve of their pelvis, all were identical.

"I am Konyanskaya too, so I'm familiar with secretarial work. More importantly, I should change my clothes first. Bodysuits are too suggestive."

Dark Konyanskaya sighed and pointed out Light Konyanskaya's attire. Light Konyanskaya tilted her head.

"Oh my. What's wrong with this outfit? It's good for seducing Master, and it wouldn't be difficult to pass it off as a Rider suit, would it?"

"Your body line is too overtly revealed. Your thighs too."

"This much can be solved by just zipping it up. And besides, the emphasis on the line is the same for you."

The two foxes exchanged words and smiled. They were smiling, but it wasn't a genuine smile.

'No, why are they having a power struggle?'

Since they share the same origin, they are close and don't fight over such things. On the contrary, they are very proactive when it comes to seduction.

But why? Why would Dark Konyanskaya act like an old fogey imbued with twisted Confucian thought?

"Enough. The clothes aren't a big problem, but covering your ears is the most important thing. You know that, right?"

"Ah."

Instantly, the two women looked at me simultaneously. They weren't foxes, but they looked like foxes.

"That's true. I'm fine, but my Light self has ears."

"If you also undergo Spirit Origin Ascension... No. Let's not talk about it."

"Indeed. There's no good in pointless squabbles."

Light Konyanskaya sighed and nodded. Dark Konyanskaya did the same.

"As for the ears, I can just hide them using illusions. Changing the Spiritron Dress isn't that difficult, is it?"

"Neither is a problem. I am an excellent secretary, after all."

Light Konyanskaya smirked, holding her head high. As she held her head high, her large breasts also asserted their presence.

Large and perfect. Seeing breasts that could be described with these two words, a wave of emotion washed over me.

'Wow, four breasts!'

If I had my way, I would have shouted it to echo. Because men want to do foolish things.

Still, I held back and concluded the conversation.

"Alright then... Mr. Toji? Are you alright?"

"Huh? Uh-huh. I'm fine. I don't know what's going on, but having two identical faces is just baffling. I thought I was having a nightmare."

Toji shook his head and replied. His dazed mind finally seemed to have returned.

"That's a relief. Let's go down now."

"Yeah. Let's go. Go."

Toji descended as if he had been waiting. His running down the slope as if it were flat ground was very impressive.

"I want Light Konyanskaya to carry me for a bit. Since it's her first summoning."

"Yes, Master. Of course, I must."

Light Konyanskaya smiled with her eyes and lifted me. The weight, warmth, and body scent. All were of the highest caliber, just like Dark Konyanskaya.

"It can't be helped."

As Light Konyanskaya pushed off the ground and flew up, Dark Konyanskaya followed, sighing as if it couldn't be helped.
