Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Absolute Red - Bimal: The Final Crushing

Bimal, the leader, was the final target. He was smart, brutal, and had vanished after Tapan's body was found.

Amit deposited a large sum into a dormant bank account in Ranjit's name and spread a rumor that Bimal was the only person with access to the cash—a massive lure. Bimal emerged from hiding and was captured by Amit in the derelict factory complex on the edge of the district.

The Final Punishment: Crushing and Finality (The Utter Destruction of Form)

Bimal's end was an act of Crushing and Finality, reflecting the way the system had crushed Amit's life and the absolute, unforgiving nature of his own self-imposed law.

1. The Waiting (Three Hours): Amit tied Bimal to the massive, unused industrial press, designed to flatten sheets of steel. He secured Bimal so his entire torso was directly under the main pressure plate. Amit then used the small blowtorch to inflict slow, excruciating, controlled burns on Bimal's arms and face, ensuring he was fully conscious and aware of the terrible machine above him. Amit played all three recorded confessions—Ranjit, Debu, and Tapan—one last time.

2. The Final Descent (Three Minutes): Amit activated the press. He did not use the emergency shut-off, only the main switch. The massive hydraulic plate began its descent—it moved agonizingly slowly, taking a full three minutes to close completely.

Amit spoke only once, his voice clear over the hydraulic whine: "You saw a family man's house and you chose to destroy it. You took everything green. There is only red now. The weight of the world is coming down on you."

Bimal's screams were lost in the groan of the machinery. Amit stood back and watched the slow, heavy descent of the press, delivering a physical end that was as absolute and unforgiving as the debt he still paid. He ensured the machine achieved its maximum pressure, erasing any possibility of recognizable form.
