Chapter 84 - Chapter 84 Her Request

The setting sun was about to fall, and the yellowish afterglow of the sunset sprinkled on every corner of Hogwarts. In the gradually darkening sky, a few heroic owls and jet-black bats occasionally flew by, and night was about to envelop the entire Hogwarts.

Malfoy stepped out of the classroom, looked over the stone railing, and could only smile wryly when he found that the sky had already darkened to this extent.

"Let's go back and eat some rations." He could only think this way. The luxury goods Narcissa gave him should be able to support him for one night, but even the most high-end snacks and desserts couldn't be eaten as a meal.

Walking along the familiar path, the setting sun, gradually disappearing below the horizon, was still trying its best to emit its last ray of light, guiding him. Otherwise, he might have to use "Lumos." The grass and small flowers between the green meadows on both sides swayed with the breeze, making rustling sounds. Coupled with the chirping of some unknown insects, there was only a peaceful autumn atmosphere. Dim yellow lights lit up sporadically in the castle of Hogwarts, reflecting the ancient and mottled bricks.

On weekdays, Malfoy would race against time, but now, having missed dinner, he was enjoying the peaceful time, strolling leisurely, and observing the rare beauty. Since his transmigration, the threat of the future had been like a Sword of Damocles hanging over his head, making it almost impossible for him to relax even a little.

"Uh, Pansy?" Looking at a familiar figure under a tree not far away, Malfoy couldn't help but say hello. Only then did he remember that he seemed to have told her before that he would go to the restaurant to meet her soon, and he couldn't help but have a headache again. Being in the wrong, he really didn't know how to appease her.

"Here, I accidentally took too much food, for you." Pansy didn't look at him, and just turned her head to look at the setting sun that had already sunk, seemingly a little shy.

"Thank you." Malfoy said, reaching out to take it. It still had a bit of warmth. The imagined complaints did not appear, but unexpected concern, which made him feel warm and surprised, and he felt that his "subtle influence" education had paid off.

They walked to the lake and wandered around for a while. The sky was completely dark, and it was getting cold. The night wind, with some moisture and coldness, stirred up bursts of waves on the calm lake, and circles of ripples spread outward from the center of the lake.

"Is this a date?" Pansy's heart beat wildly, and the ignorant girlish thoughts made her face a little flushed, and she couldn't help but start to think wildly, but it was impossible to distinguish clearly in the darkness.

Another gust of cold night wind struck, sobering her up. Pansy remembered her true purpose today, and turned to Malfoy with a serious expression and said: "Draco, I have something I want to ask you to help with."

"Speak, what little trinket have you taken a fancy to again?" Malfoy thought to himself, why has Pansy changed her personality these past few days? It turns out she needs something from him.

It should be said that most pure-blood families are relatively wealthy and will not be stingy with their children, especially girls who need to be raised well, but no matter how much pocket money they have, they can't stand spending money lavishly. After being penniless, the only person Pansy can turn to for help is naturally him.

However, looking at Pansy's suddenly flushed face, Malfoy felt that he must have misunderstood, and quickly remedied: "Just kidding, don't mind."

"Hmph." Pansy turned her head away with some annoyance, but she was still thinking bitterly in her heart: "He still treats me like a child.", "Then I should make myself more mature," she cheered herself up. Then she turned her head back and said: "I want to learn the Patronus Charm, the spell you used to defeat those Dementors."

Hearing this, Malfoy staggered, as if tripped by something, and almost fell into the lake, which startled Pansy, who quickly drew her wand and prepared to use a spell, but fortunately, there was no danger. With just a slight sway, Malfoy steadied himself.

"What did you say?" Malfoy seemed to think he was hallucinating. Pansy, who usually didn't like to study and relied entirely on him to cram for the final exams, would actually take the initiative to learn a spell?

"You heard me right, Draco." Looking at Malfoy's suspicious look, Pansy felt even more uncomfortable, but the change of image was not something that could be achieved overnight, and she would use actions to prove it.

"Um..." After confirming Pansy's intentions, Malfoy pondered. If there were no accidents, the Dementor problem would be solved by him, then the meaning of learning the Patronus Charm would not be great.

"But it's never a bad thing to learn more." He didn't care about learning the Patronus Charm or anything else. What made him happy was that Pansy had really changed. There would be no shortage of dangers in the future, and he couldn't always be by her side.

"Okay, then let's go." Malfoy took Pansy's slender hand and was about to walk towards another path.

"Where are we going?" Pansy asked, feeling a trace of doubt in her heart.

"A great man comparable to Merlin once said that practice is the only criterion for testing truth." Malfoy glanced at Pansy, "What do you think?"

"We're going to see Dementors?" Hearing this, Pansy's face, which had just turned slightly red because of the physical contact, turned pale again.

"With me, this big light bulb, they won't hurt you." Malfoy joked, comparing the light emitted by his Patronus to a light bulb, which made Pansy's tight little face laugh again, and the previous fear dissipated again.

He scoffed at Dumbledore's demands and the Ministry of Magic's restraint on Dementors. They said that they were strictly forbidden to step into the school, but during the Quidditch match, weren't the Dementors as if they were in no man's land? Any promise is for people with reason, because they will weigh the cost of breaking the promise. It is hard to imagine that these disgusting guys can understand trade-offs. What drives them is only endless greed and a thirst for happiness.

But undeniably, they do have intelligence, betrayal and allegiance to the strong, which is not something that a creature without intelligence can do.

A cold and chilling aura came, and the two of them had arrived at the gate of the castle. Dozens or hundreds of Dementors were wandering outside the school. The students in the school seemed to be delicious delicacies, waiting for them to taste. They were waiting for an opportunity to hold their own feast.

The night wind howled, rustling the Dementors' cloaks. The dark night scene could not stop their "thirst for food". They didn't even have facial features. Where their mouths should be, there was only a hole, which could be used to suck away people's souls. Smell was the basis for them to judge humans.

"Food is coming!" The Dementors around the school simultaneously had this thought in their minds, if they had such an organ as a heart. A group of Dementors floated towards the two of them, but they were still afraid to cross the line due to the regulations. There was so much food in the school that they were unwilling to give up the entire forest for these two leaves. The prisoners in Azkaban would go crazy after being "played" by them for two days, and they simply couldn't fill their stomachs.

Fresh food and rotten food, this choice will not make people hesitate at all.
