Chapter 1 - Prologue

A realm of black, bereft of color. It was an endless void that should have been empty of all things, a place that should have been harmful to individual life in the chaotic sea of creatia.

Yet, there was a speck.

It wasn't a large speck by anymeans, it was a small orb, it had a luminescent glow to it that could blind the eyes. A soul was the name for it, and it was the soul of a human that had its life recently cut short.

The orb, sat floating, waiting in the chaotic sea, silent. It did not expect to hear anything or feel anything after death, yet something else in the void was present. Its light was blinding and its form unfathomable to the mind of men.

Its form, huge and grand, picked up the soul which they felt was special. "A live one" it spoke with a tongue that rattled the chaotic creatia and forced its unceasing waves and vortexes and swirling masses to cease as if cowed by the divine tongue it spewed from its mouth.

"I knew you would come here, and I knew you would survive" the world rattled at each word and syllable. "I have a grand purpose, well a purpose for you" it muttered and plucking from the chaotic sea it grabbed a pulsating object, a concept of grandeur given form through the might of the void being.

"Use it well, young one, and the power I give to you is grand and powerful" It finished as it put the concept inside the soul and melded it together as the soul glowed bright and its light almost matched the being as it disappeared and the being was pleased.

The rays of the sun shined through a window of beautiful make. The panes of glass were clear and thick, good protection against most projectiles. The room was quite fancy and it was obvious of noble belonging. In the room was a vanity with a good sized mirror with various drawers, a desk full of pens and ink and various leaves of paper with words in dry ink strewn about.

On the four poster bed was a man of considerable appearance. Brown hair and tanned skin, wearing a long, white nightshirt and was covered in blankets of fine make. His eyes were of an emerald green and his body was strong and lean. He seemed at peace, and his eyes were slowly opening.

'Damn, I wish the sun would just calm down a minute' he thought as he raised his hand to his eyes to block out the harmful rays when he had to do a double look. His once normally fair skin was a lot darker than it usually was. His golden hair was now a brown color. These inconsistent details caused him to accidentally shout, "WHAT!"

The door to his room was quickly opened as in stepped a man who looked to be in his fifties yet his body was surprisingly still well built as if he was always exercising from a glance. His white hair which was long and reached along his back was tide in a pony tail and he was dressed in what looked like a typical butlers uniform: White button up, a black waist coat, black blazer, white gloves, black dress shoes( which looked oddly comfortable), and a pocket watch in the breast pocket.

"Are you okay Master Liam?" asked the man in genuine care. His voice was alien to the man who was startled over the changes he was overcoming and so was frozen in shock until he heard the name Liam. It did not match his old name, being that his name started with a c, but his memories were fuzzy after so long in the dark.

His heart was beating fast, too fast, and he felt himself lull back into sleep. "Master!" screamed the butler as he ran over, and the last thing he saw was the butlers hands glowing a pale light.

He awoke in a dark space, and what captured his immediate attention was a giant cup, which was seemingly wrought from gold and silver, embedded with gems and overflowing with a glowing blue liquid. The power it emmited was palpable and tangible to his senses as he wondered where he was now.

"In your mind" said a voice close to him, and as he jumped back he got a look at the person who spoke. His face was obscured with mist, yet his body was visible and had definition to it. Muscles in all the right places, hair black as night down to his waist and he was clothed in a white skirt around his legs with a partial opening, something that seemed vaguely what someone thought egyptians might wear but longer. Around his neck was a silver and gold chain that was intertwined with each other, each metal molded into snakes.

"Charlie Holt, right?" asked the being in the mist as Charlie had a single thought to himself. 'Who is this guy, and how does he know my name?' "Why wouldn't I know your name, I'm apart of you. Names Graal" the stranger introduced himself. Graal was a peculiar name to Charlie, but he didnt have time for that . "What do you mean apart of me?" asked Charlie as Graal just pointed towards the cup in the distance, and it wasn't long until they were near it.

"I am what is essentially an avatar of that thing, to help you along in understanding the power you possess" said Graal, crossing his arms as Charlies looked at him. "Okay, I still don't understand, but what power?" Charlie inquired as Graal smiled. "The power to create gods, the source of divinity, the power to bring divine life, the womb of the goddess of origins. Many names yet the purpose of creating and nurturing gods is the same" Graal got out and looked at Charlies confused face.

He sighed and put it in plain words. "You can create and evolve gods, and through them you can gain strength and such." He sounded annoyed at having to explain it, but what was he going to expect from a guy who never really dealt with the supernatural besides some vague research.

"Oh, so I can basically build a pantheon of gods to serve a purpose" Charlie finally got it. "Do their power depend on faith, or do they not need it?" he asked. "They can get stronger through faith, but it isn't really need it. To answer what may be your next question, you can give them any domain, but the more you add and the higher their power the more it can affect you. Then there's the myth aspect that defines the gods, so make sure your aware of that so you don't miss that crucial detail" said Graal. "Anyhow, times up and if you come back here I will inform you of more details, be careful" he waved and Charlie went back to the land of the waken.

"Li-"

"Lia--"

"Master Liam!" shouted the butler as Charlie awoke, and he seemed to have calmed down from the episode he went through. "Liam! Are you okay, any abnormalities?" asked the Butler as Charlie glanced at the butler as memories seemed to surface of a foreign life.

The butler before him was named Seig and he was hired by the former head of the Rossen family, his father Samual Rossen. His name was William 'Liam' Rossen and he was the head of the Rossen family after his mom and father passed. The rank of nobility that they had was Marques and they had vast swathes of land granted to them by the great king Vican von Hanswolt.

"Yes I'm find Seig" said William, him already adopting the name due to the merging of memories making it easier to do. Liam was a more affectionate name, indicating the closeness he and Seig had with each other. Seig had fair skin and his hair was white with a faint lines of brown remaining.

He was the head servant of the house and essentially led the daily duties and roles of the house servants like the maids, cooks, gardeners, and so forth. The servant retinue was small but each were dedicated and good at their job. His father and mother spared no expense when it came to good help, and their revenue from their land helped pay the servants and line their pockets.

"Alright Master, at least let do one final look over" Seig said with a tone of finality as William nodded, and Seig placed a hand a fists length from his chest and a soft glow eminated from his hand.

Pale and comforting, Seig was using a spell for diagnostic checkup to make sure the body was in good health. "Everything seems to be in order now, now time to get dressed and lets head down for lunch" Seig smiled as he helped William out of bed and helped him dress in an outfit that seemed appropriate for noble leisure. White button up shirt and shorts with brown court shoes and they headed down the flights of stairs for lunch.
