Chapter 78 - Chapter 77

The three Amegakure jonin spread out in a triangular formation, closing in on Hiroki from three different directions. Each of them wielded a chain scythe identical to Hanzo's, the blades flashing with deadly cold light as they sliced through the rain.

Yet, faced with this coordinated assault, Hiroki didn't even blink.

He calmly raised the grotesque arm formed of writhing black tendrils—Kakuzu's arm.

Earth Grudge Fear: Jiongu.

"Clang! Clang! Clang!"

Countless black threads erupted outward, instantly hardening into sharp spikes. They interlocked and expanded, forming an impenetrable black sphere around Hiroki.

The jonin's weapons slammed into it, sparks bursting everywhere—but not even a scratch was left behind.

Their strike failed.

The three immediately retreated, preparing to launch a second wave.

But Hiroki had no intention of letting them try again.

He merely turned his head slightly, as casually as if blowing away dust.

Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere.

Three compressed air bullets shot from his mouth without warning, moving faster than the eye could track.

No hand seals.No light.No sound.

Pure vacuum chakra.

Transparent bullets.

"Pfft!"

One jonin's head exploded instantly. Blood and fragments scattered through the rain like shattered petals.

The other two reacted just in time, barely avoiding fatal hits—but their shoulders and thighs were pierced. Two fountains of blood sprayed into the air.

What!?

No hand seals!?

Hanzo's pupils shrank violently.

A ninjutsu without hand seals!?

Even after all his years of training—after mastering Water and Fire Release—he had never even touched that realm.

If ninjas could cast techniques without seals…

How terrifying would that be!?

In the middle of a conversation—No warning—No movement—

Suddenly struck by a killing blow stronger than any blade.

No one would be safe.

But Hanzo's shock had only begun.

Before the wounded jonin could even scream, the black spikes around Hiroki suddenly retracted, transforming into two lightning-fast black serpents that shot forward.

Earth Grudge Fear: Snake.Earth Grudge Fear: Spear.

Mid-air, the serpents hardened into spears.

"Ugh—!"

Two muffled groans.

The spears pierced straight through their chests.

From the spear tips, thinner black threads burst out like living vipers, slipping inside their bodies and coiling around their still-beating hearts—

—and ripping them out.

Two bloody hearts were torn free.

Black tendrils burrowed into their corpses, greedily draining their blood.

Defense.Counterattack.Execution.

All in the blink of an eye.

When the two heartless bodies collapsed into the water, the entire battlefield fell silent.

Dead silence.

Hanzo recognized the technique.

"Earth Grudge Fear…"

His voice was hoarse, tinged with disbelief and fear. For the first time, terror was visible in the eyes of the Demigod of the Rain.

"This is a forbidden jutsu from Takigakure… lost for countless years. There should only be one person in the entire ninja world who knows it!"

Hanzo had lived in the era of the First Hokage.

He had personally witnessed Senju Hashirama—the God of Shinobi.

No one understood Hashirama's power better than him.

Even Hanzo, who believed he could fight any of the Five Kage, had never come close to that level.

But there was one man—

A ninja rumored to have fought the First Hokage and survived.

Still alive.

Still active.

Kakuzu.

As leader of the Hidden Rain, Hanzo had clashed with him before.

A monster with multiple lives.Immune to physical damage.Master of all five chakra natures.

Even Hanzo himself struggled to defeat him.

Then—

Why was Kakuzu's jutsu in this child's hands!?

"What did you do to Kakuzu!?" Hanzo shouted.

Hiroki didn't answer.

He calmly retracted the black tendrils and rested his arm at his waist.

That simple movement crushed Hanzo's heart.

Such effortless control.

Kakuzu—A legend from his era—A man even Hashirama couldn't kill—

His power had been stolen by a ten-year-old child.

Hanzo finally understood.

This enemy was beyond the Hidden Rain's jonin.

Anyone who stayed—

Would only be throwing their lives away.

"Go!"

"Everyone go!"

"All Amegakure ninja, obey my order!"

His final roar tore through the rain.

"Disperse and retreat! Leave immediately! Preserve the last embers of the Hidden Rain!"

Though shocked, the Rain ninja obeyed instantly, scattering in all directions.

"Don't let them escape!" Aburame Ryoma shouted.

"Don't chase!" Orochimaru stopped him.

"Hanzou is still alive," Jiraiya added, eyes locked forward.

Indeed.

Hanzo didn't flee.

He bit his finger and slammed both palms into the flooded ground.

"You brats… for the Land of Rain… for Amegakure's future—"

Water Release: Infinite Poison Swamp!

BOOM!

Within a hundred-meter radius, the ground transformed into a bubbling purple swamp.

The earth dissolved.Rocks melted.A sweet, nauseating stench filled the air.

"Earth Release: Earth Wall!"

Jiraiya slammed his hands down.

A massive horizontal earth wall rose like a lid, forcibly suppressing the poisonous swamp beneath them.

"Fire Release—!" Hanzo tried to form seals.

But—

A black shadow grabbed his own.

"Tie him up."

Nara Shikazō.

His voice was tired. His eyes complicated.

For their generation—Tobirama.Sarutobi.Hanzo.

They were legends.

Walking myths.

And now—

Another legend was falling.

Bound by shadow and poison, Hanzo finally stopped struggling.

He stared at Hiroki with hatred and disdain.

"Cold-blooded brat… you think I'm dreaming!?"

"Then tell me—what has Konoha brought to the Land of Rain!?"

"What have your Five Great Nations brought to this world!?"

"Besides bullying the weak!?"

"You know nothing!"

"You haven't suffered!"

"You're just a child!"

"Only I can bring peace!"

"Delusional." Hiroki sighed.

He looked at Hanzo like a madman obsessed with ideals.

Power can enforce peace—Like nuclear weapons.

But power cannot change hearts.

It cannot solve suffering.

Even in his old world, the strongest nations spread war, not peace.

"You couldn't walk the path that stronger men failed to walk."

"Yet you think you can?"

"Are you stronger than Madara?""Greater than Hashirama?""Better than the Five Kage?"

"You can't even dominate an era."

"And you dream of peace?"

Hanzo trembled.

"You—!!!"

Rage burned in his eyes.

His body shook violently.

But he couldn't even scream.

Only a beast's hiss escaped his throat.

The Konoha ninja were stunned.

Jiraiya scratched his head, emotions swirling.

Where does this kid get this confidence…?

Hiroki ignored them.

He walked toward Hanzo.

No one stopped him.

The battle was over.

He placed his hand on Hanzo's forehead.
