Chapter 74 - Chapter 74

The thought of the situation immediately made Remilia jump up. If this was truly happening, she absolutely had to intervene, especially since she didn't know what other things might occur.

She quickly ran back to the bedroom. Upon opening the door, she saw Flandre and Kars sitting together quite normally. The two looked up at the frantically rushing Remilia with puzzled expressions, seemingly wondering why she was in such a hurry.

"You… you two haven't been doing anything behind my back, have you?" Seeing that the two of them looked relatively normal and nothing like what she had imagined had happened, Remilia breathed a slight sigh of relief.

"No, Little Auntie, what's wrong?" Kars was confused by her sudden return and strange question.

"Don't play innocent! The two of you were doing that! If Sakuya hadn't told me! I would have thought the kissing you mentioned was just kissing on the cheek or forehead! But… but you were kissing on the mouth! That's utterly shameless!" Remilia cried out, her face flushed. "Kars, how could you do something like that to Flandre? She's still just…"

Remilia paused mid-sentence. It seemed the one who was still a child should be Kars, which was why he didn't understand much about this. It was likely he had learned it from Patchouli and then told Flandre. Flandre, who also didn't understand much, tried it out of curiosity. The whole sequence of events finally made sense.

"Flandre! As Kars's Little Auntie! How could you do that to him! You can't just try something out of curiosity! That kind of kissing isn't something you can do casually!" Remilia directed her gaze at Flandre. She was certain that the root of the problem lay largely with Flandre. However, Patchouli, who taught Kars these things, also bore a heavy responsibility.

"Sister, you know already?" Flandre was surprised that her secret with Kars had been discovered by Remilia so quickly. To be found out in less than a day made her feel very disappointed.

"Hmph! Of course I know! I'm the head of the family! Did you think you could hide something like this from me?" Remilia raised her chin slightly and replied with a hint of pride when faced with their gazes.

"And Kars, why did you let Flandre do that to you? Didn't Patchouli teach you that doing that with a relative is wrong?"

"Patchouli?" Kars scratched his head, confused about why Patchouli was brought up, since it was Koakuma who taught him about kissing. "Patchouli never taught me that."

Kars's answer was taken by Remilia to mean that Patchouli hadn't taught Kars this knowledge, making her feel frustrated. It seemed she needed to have a serious talk with Patchouli about this.

"Sister, why is it wrong? That's just something you do with someone you love. Doesn't Flandre love Kars?" Flandre saw nothing wrong with it and felt there was no issue.

"That's different! The love between family members and the love between romantic partners is not the same!" Remilia was troubled by this question. She didn't know how to explain it clearly enough for Flandre to understand. "Some things are not done between family members, but only between romantic partners. The kissing you and Kars did is something only romantic partners can do. Do you understand now?"

"Does that mean other people can do that to Kars, but Flandre can't?" Hearing this interpretation, Flandre felt like Kars might be snatched away from her. She quickly hugged Kars, looking at Remilia with an expression that declared Kars was hers. "No! Kars belongs to Flandre! Flandre won't let anyone else take Kars away! No one!"

"No one is going to do that! Flandre, calm down!" Remilia quickly tried to calm Flandre down, worried that she might lose control again. Kars was currently in her arms. If Flandre accidentally lost control, the outcome would not be pretty.

"Will no one really do that?"

"Yes! No one will!" Remilia nodded firmly. At this moment, she was absolutely certain that no one would snatch Kars away from her family.

Only after receiving this firm assurance did Flandre's mood stabilize. Kars, in her arms, also sighed in relief, knowing the consequences of Flandre's emotional outbursts. He wouldn't die, but it definitely wouldn't be comfortable.

"Alright, alright, Little Auntie, don't get so worked up." Kars also began to soothe Flandre's emotions, preventing any further escalation.

"Kars, you won't leave Flandre for one of those 'romantic partners' like Sister said, right?" Flandre looked at Kars, her eyes filled with anticipation, hoping for an affirming answer. Kars's reply to this question was a definite yes.

"Of course not! Besides, I don't have a wife right now. Even if I did, I wouldn't leave my Little Auntie! I'm not the one who would marry and leave." Unlike Flandre, Kars knew what a "romantic partner" meant. He didn't have a wife now, but even if he did, why would he leave his Little Aunties?

"A romantic partner means a wife! Then Kars shouldn't get a wife!"

"How can he not! If he doesn't get a wife, what about the Scarlet family? He is the last male heir of our family!" Remilia immediately objected. She couldn't let Flandre interfere with this! The heavy burden of the Scarlet family's prosperity rested on Kars's shoulders. How could she not let him find a wife!

"Then Flandre will be Kars's wife!"

"Flandre! You have to understand! You are his Little Auntie! You are his relative!"

"Does that mean it's wrong?"

"Of course it's wrong!!" Remilia's head was throbbing. She felt she couldn't explain this clearly to Flandre.

"Little Auntie, does that mean Little Aunties can also be wives?" Kars chimed in with this curious question.

"You brat, don't add to the chaos now!"
