Chapter 3 - BLOSSOM

If my Player Era was a movie, it would've been titled: "Hot Girl Summer: The Trilogy." Although, I had many other side chicks

But then, like a plot twist I didn't see coming, she appeared.

Her name? Blossom.

Where did I meet her? TikTok.

Yes, TikTok. Don't laugh.

One minute I was scrolling through dance challenges and funny skits, the next, this girl popped up on my For You page lip-syncing to some love song. And I don't know what happened, but my brain just went: "Yep. That one. She's trouble.

At first, it was innocent. I liked her videos, she liked mine. We followed each other. A few DMs turned into hours-long conversations. She wasn't like the guys I played around with. Blossom was… different.

She made me laugh without trying too hard. She actually listened when I ranted. She didn't just send "wyd" texts, she asked about my day, my mood, even my weird cravings.

And before I knew it, Rule #1 of Eva's Player Bible, Never catch feelings...was in the gutter.

One night, she asked:

"So… do you even like girls?"

I froze. I could've lied, dodged, or made a joke. But instead, I told the truth:

"I don't know… but I know I like you."

And that was it. Just like that, I broke all my rules.

Dating Blossom felt different. Softer. Sweeter.

With her, I wasn't the heartbreaker. I wasn't the girl juggling three "good morning" texts. I was just Eva.

I found myself smiling at my phone like a clown whenever she texted. I even stopped replying the other guys,do you know how big that is for me?

But here's the thing: I didn't tell Dara.

Yeah, I know

Dara my therapist, my ride or die, my gossip partner, I didn't say a word.

Why? Because I was scared. Maybe because I thought she'd judge me, Maybe because I wanted to keep blossom my little secret, like a shiny treasure I didn't want anyone to touch.

So for weeks, Blossom was my little secret. My safe place. My escape.

Until I finally cracked, I told Dara.

The silence after that felt like an earthquake.

"Eva… you mean all this while you were smiling at your phone like an idiot, and it wasn't even Sam? You couldn't tell me?"

I tried to explain. "I didn't know how you'd react. But you're the only one who knows now."

(Dara's Commentary)

When Eva finally told me, I swear I was two seconds away from throwing my phone at her head. Not because of Blossom, I don't care if she dates a boy, girl, or even a goat. My own was: why hide it from me? Do you know how stupid I felt when she was busy smiling at her phone every night and I thought it was kelvin the dummy? Mscheww.

She was mad at me. Not because it was Blossom, but because I kept it from her. We argued, we sulked, but eventually, we settled. Dara is my person, she wasn't going to let me go that easily.

(Dara's commentary )

Eva is just so cocky, tsk.

.....

And so, I let her in on my secret.

For weeks, it was bliss.

Blossom and I laughed, shared memes, had late-night calls. She became my soft spot. I hadn't felt that way since Francis, and honestly? It was better.

I thought I was safe.

I thought I'd finally won at love.

But then, just when I was floating on cloud nine...reality punched me in the face.

Because one night, Blossom texted me:

"Babe… guess who just messaged me."

Attached was a screenshot.

It was her ex.
