Harry thought for a moment and chose to put the wand back, after all, he still relied on the fairies to take him to the vault to get things.
He really didn't expect, after not seeing this wand for such a long time, this old fellow seemed to have some additional functions?
Perhaps it was because of absorbing Lanlock's energy?
But then again, the number of fairies who died under this wand was indeed innumerable.
Although Harry was once a kind person who was afraid of hurting ants when sweeping the floor, he put aside that unnecessary kindness after witnessing the massacre of a village by fairies.
Despite Gringotts repeatedly claiming that Lanlock's actions had nothing to do with the fairies at Gringotts, Harry still felt that the fairies of Gringotts were not good things either.
When Harry put his wand away, the fairies finally escaped from their fear.
"Oh my, what on earth is this..." The goblin gulped with difficulty.
"Don't ask what you shouldn't ask." Harry said calmly, "Now that I have presented my token, you should take me to the vault, right?"
"Certainly, Mr. Potter, this way please." The goblin said respectfully.
He led Harry along the way, with one hand behind his back gesturing to the other fairies.
Harry noticed his little movements, but he didn't care much.
Before coming to Gringotts, he had prepared a Door Key in his bag, which could quickly take him back outside the Broken Cauldron Bar once activated.
Harry followed the goblin into a narrow stone corridor, with burning torches illuminating the passage brightly.
The stone corridor sloped steeply downward, with a winding small railway laid on the ground.
The goblin whistled, and before long, a small cart came rushing towards them along the rails.
"Get on, Mr. Potter." The goblin turned back and said, then he sat inside first.
Harry also got on and sat down, casually placing a miniature Armor Protection in front of him—just enough to shield his own face from the wind, without affecting the goblin.
On the way, they passed by a subterranean lake, adorned with gigantic stalactites and stalagmites, some even drooping all the way to the ground.
Finally, the small cart stopped in front of a small door, which seemed to be enchanted in some way, as it always stopped precisely in front of the vault they intended to go to.
"We are here, Mr. Potter." The goblin jumped off the cart and said respectfully.
Harry got off the cart and looked up at Vault No. 313.
To be honest, just from the door alone, it was much more splendid than the door of their family's vault.
"A total of 2,763,215 Golden Galleons." The goblin said calmly, holding a piece of paper, "And there's also some antique curiosities, all treasured by the Austria-Hungary Imperial Family a hundred years ago—let me see, it says... there's also some precious Alchemy Materials, even something as rare as an Angel's Feather, truly curious about the identity of the vault's lady owner."
Identity?
Harry thought about it, it seemed that Vivi had an aunt nicknamed "Sissi," who supposedly married a man named Joseph, said to have some power in Austria-Hungary.
But... two million Golden Galleons?!
Was this the "little change" Vivi mentioned?
He was still marveling in his heart, but outwardly remained calm, and said to the goblin, "Open the door."
The goblin nodded, stepped forward, and touched something unknown on the large door, then the lock was undone, from which a thick green smoke billowed out.
Once the smoke dissipated, Harry looked inside...
After a while.
Harry numbly withdrew his gaze from the empty space...
This... this isn't right, is it?
Where's all the money you were talking about?
He searched carefully inside the vault and finally found a pathetic copper knut in the corner.
And a silver-white Princess Crown hanging at the back of the vault.
"Is this what you call more than two million Golden Galleons?!" Harry pointed at the empty vault, his blood pressure rising.
Are you fucking kidding me?
The Golden Galleons don't matter, if they're gone, they're gone.
Antique curiosities don't matter either, Harry doesn't care about them.
But, where the hell is my Angel's Feather?!
Vivi put all those Angel's Feathers here, that huge bunch of them?!
Harry never believed Vivi would deceive him, not to mention the detailed list recorded everything that was inside.
Hearing Harry's words, the goblin finally turned around.
He took a deep breath, displaying a look of horror.
"Mr. Potter, this is a major incident, I must... I must inform the higher-ups of Gringotts..."
Harry said nothing, just looked at him coldly, taking a sip of Ageing Potion from his pocket.
"Now please come back with me, I think..." The goblin swallowed, "I think the higher-ups of Gringotts will definitely give you a reasonable explanation."
"You better!" Harry threw out a sentence and got back on the cart.
Following the original path back, Harry returned to the hall of Gringotts once again.
But as soon as he entered the hall, he was stopped by two fairies in suits.
"Mr. Potter, the Chairman would like to see you," the two fairies said respectfully.
Harry lowered his head, glanced at them, and pointed at the ground.
"Have him come to see me, here."
"This..." The two fairies exchanged a glance, both looking troubled.
"My vault has been robbed, the treasures inside have vanished!" Harry snorted coldly, "I need an explanation from Gringotts! Was it negligence in guarding or criminal intent among the fairies!"
Upon hearing Harry's words, the originally quiet Gringotts hall erupted like a boiling pot.
Everyone knew, since its establishment, Gringotts had been renowned for its security.
