Looking at the history of the Magic World, goblin rebellions have occurred several times, with the most recent one in modern society undoubtedly being the one Harry personally experienced.
So, Harry definitely has no affection for goblins.
But house-elves are different. When Harry first entered Hogwarts, Professor Weasley arranged for a house-elf to take care of his daily needs, both during term and holidays.
The house-elf's name was Dico, who was very gentle and kind, and under such pleasant circumstances, Harry didn't dislike house-elves.
The moment the house-elf standing at the door saw Harry, his big eyes widened, bat-like ears fluttered twice, and he clasped his hands together.
"Harry Potter, are you the great Harry Potter?"
"If you mean Harry Potter, then I am." Harry smiled at him and added, "But if you say great, that's not me."
"Harry Potter defeated the Dark Demon King and brought peace to the world. He deserves the title 'great'!" the little elf said.
Harry thought of his mother.
"No, actually it was my mother who defeated the Black Demon." He sighed.
"Harry Potter's mother was also a great wizard! And a great mom!" The house-elf said softly, then began to hit the wall: "Bad Dobby! Bad Dobby! Made Mr. Harry Potter think of sad things! Bad Dobby!"
"Is your name Dobby?" Harry asked, reaching out to grab Dobby's skinny and somewhat dirty arm: "Stop punishing yourself, it's not your fault."
He had a particularly good first impression of this elf because it said that his mother was great.
Good elf, very perceptive.
Dobby stopped punishing himself, looked up at Harry.
"So, is there something you came here for?"
"Dobby was commissioned by his master to deliver an invitation to Mr. Harry Potter." Dobby said, sniffling, "But Dobby doesn't want Mr. Harry Potter to accept the invitation, because the master…"
At this, Dobby began to hit the wall again.
"Bad Dobby, bad Dobby!"
Sigh.
Harry grabbed Dobby and said: "Whatever it is, let's go inside and talk."
He didn't want an audience because some people were already looking at them from the side.
After entering the room, Harry motioned for Dobby to sit down.
"Go ahead, Dobby, who is your master?"
"Dobby serves the Malfoy family." Dobby spoke very lightly, "Dobby's master is Lucius Malfoy, the current Patriarch of the Malfoy family."
Patriarch of the Malfoy family?
Isn't that convenient?
Harry was actually planning to visit Malfoy Manor after leaving Gringotts—but now that Lucius had extended an invitation, it saved him the trouble.
"So why don't you want me to accept the invitation?" Harry asked curiously.
After all, it's said that when someone offers you a favor, they want something in return, and Harry didn't believe that someone like himself, just finished his first year and heading into the second, could earn such formal attention from the Patriarch of the Malfoy family.
Uh...but then again, it's hard to say, as Harry is currently the only one in the Potter family, so theoretically speaking, he's the head of the Potter family too.
"Because... there was a Dark Mark found on the little master's arm…" Dobby said fearfully, "The Black Demon... Mr. Potter and his mother worked so hard to defeat that demon whose name cannot be mentioned, yet it's returned, and Dobby is worried the master might harm you…"
Harry quickly used a magic spell to immobilize Dobby's arms and legs to prevent him from continuing to harm himself.
"No need to punish yourself, Dobby, now let me ask you." Harry thought for a moment and asked again, "Then why do you dislike the Dark Demon King?"
"Because that demon... treated us like maggots…" Dobby shivered: "Those were really dark days…"
"But I heard the demon was back a few weeks ago, but Mr. Harry Potter thwarted his plot and even defeated him head-on!" Dobby said admiringly, his big round eyes shining brightly.
"Yes." Harry said with a cheery smile: "But I have something to discuss with Mr. Lucius Malfoy at Malfoy Manor, something that concerns a friend's life, so Dobby, I must go to Malfoy Manor."
"Friend?" Dobby mumbled.
"Yes, a good friend." Harry softly said to Dobby, "Dobby, as a house-elf of the Malfoy family, have you ever heard of someone called 'Cassandra Malfoy'?"
"Oh…" Dobby said, "You mean Miss Cassandra Malfoy? Dobby's mother once served her, but I heard from my mother that she disappeared when she was very young, but—"
"But what?" Harry asked.
"But Dobby doesn't know much. If Mr. Harry Potter wants to know more, perhaps Cassandra Malfoy's father could tell you more." Dobby said.
"Cassandra's father?!" Harry was shocked, "Wait, you mean—Mr. Septimus Malfoy is still alive?"
"No, Dobby only saw a portrait of that old master in a certain room." Dobby said, "But the old master was very elegant and never said harsh words to us lowly elves."
Harry realized, so you mean your current master Lucius isn't elegant and often swears at you?
"In that case, I must go even more now." Harry said to Dobby, "You go and tell Lucius Malfoy that I will be there promptly at five in the afternoon."
Dobby hesitated for a moment, emotionally he wanted to stop Harry from accepting the invitation, because the Malfoy family were staunch Death Eaters and might threaten him, the Savior.
But since it's an order from his master and most importantly Harry agreed, and it involves something important, Dobby couldn't, in good conscience, prevent Harry from going.
"Dobby wishes Harry Potter to be safe." Dobby left with these words and walked out of the Broken Cauldron Bar.
After Dobby left, Pabi's head poked up from the top of the suitcase.
"Harry, Harry, your guest gone?"
"Yes, left. I'm going to visit the Malfoy family tonight." Harry took out his wallet, pulling out some treats he'd bought for Pabi: "Here, I bought these for you. You must have missed these while in the forest, right?"
"Wow!" Pabi exclaimed happily, her eyes curving into a smile.
She nudged Harry with her head, then expertly snatched a candy from his hand with her mouth.
Watching Pabi quickly devour over a dozen doughnuts, Harry suddenly thought of a very serious question.
"Pabi…" Harry's eye twitched: "I just remembered, you've been in the suitcase for the past two days, how… how did you go to the bathroom?"
He was regretting now, regretting deeply.
Oh no, he should have installed a toilet with a Disappearing Spell inside the suitcase!
He didn't dare imagine what the internal space of the suitcase was like now.
"Oh, you mean that." Pabi casually wagged her tail, "The unique digestive system of unicorns doesn't require excretion…"
"Really?" Harry asked.
"Of course it's true." Pabi said joyfully, then quickly squinted her eyes at Harry: "No, Harry, I think you're having some very inappropriate thoughts!"
"No." Harry flatly denied, "Why would I be thinking nonsense?"
"Hmph." Pabi snorted lightly and continued to chew on the bread: "Rest assured, your concern is completely unfounded—are you satisfied now?"
"Uh, actually I brought you some fruit too." Harry rummaged out a pile of berries, "These are your favorite blueberries, eat up, eat up…"
"Yay!" Pabi cheered, quickly forgetting Harry's earlier 'offense.'
Harry breathed a sigh of relief, thankful Pabi didn't continue to dwell on it.
