Chapter 214 - Chapter 129: Auntie, Do You Like Potter?

Before long, he led a tall, skinny, handsome old man inside.

It was his brother, Theseus Scamander.

Theseus clearly didn't know the truth of the matter; he asked Newt confusedly, "What's going on that you're so urgent?"

"You'll know once you see it." Newt said, pushing Theseus into the room.

Mr. Leme's Alchemy Room was indeed not large; with a few more people inside, it started to feel crowded.

Theseus looked around; it was his first time at Mr. Leme's house.

Of course, he had heard of the legendary alchemist's fame—a name he last saw decades ago at Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris.

"Hello, Mr. Leme." Theseus greeted Leme, who was sitting in front of the computer playing Civilization 1.

Mr. Leme turned his head and said kindly, "Hello—alright, don't mind me, child."

Theseus felt a bit uneasy; ever since he'd reached adulthood, no one called him "child" anymore.

However, he couldn't really object, because in front of the over six-hundred-year-old Mr. Leme, not to mention his mere hundred-plus years, even if he lived another two or three hundred years, he'd still be a child.

"Look, who is this..." Newt held Theseus's shoulder and turned him toward Pabi.

Seeing the elderly version of her good nephew, Pabi reached out and greeted him.

"Hi, Theseus, long time no see—"

Theseus clearly hadn't realized what was going on; at the first sight of this Hufflepuff ghost lady, he felt she was familiar, but couldn't quite recall where he'd seen her before.

"Hello, miss." Theseus asked hesitantly, "Do we know each other?"

She's our aunt." Newt helpfully reminded, "Pabi, Pabi Swedding, mom's sister..."

Upon hearing Newt's explanation, Theseus remembered why the girl in front of him looked so familiar.

Back when he was two or three, during the time when Pabi was not yet missing, he loved to hang around his little aunt.

The little aunt's pockets seemed to have endless treats, and various interesting trinkets from Hogsmeade.

Especially for a child his age, it was irresistible.

In addition, he particularly liked this little aunt.

Perhaps it was due to Pabi's influence that he entered Hufflepuff College.

In fact, Theseus's mother Linda, Theseus, and Newt all came from Hufflepuff College.

"Aunt Pabi?" Theseus moved forward with heavy steps, incredulous: "Is it really, truly you? But why have you turned out like this?"

"Oh?" Pabi laughed, "Just a small accident..."

Theseus stepped forward, seemingly intending to hug his little aunt like he did in childhood, but found awkwardly that she was now a ghost.

"Oh, you must be like Linda, right?" Pabi said understandingly, transforming into a unicorn: "Now we can hug—"

Theseus mechanically moved forward, spreading his arms to gently hug Pabi's head, almost getting poked by the horn.

"What on earth happened to you? Why is your human form a ghost, and your Animagus form a corporeal unicorn?"

"I can't really explain it, maybe it's the price of being a magic mage." Pabi said leisurely, showing no signs of sadness or distress; instead, she was still brimming with energy: "Alright, alright, you two nephews—no frowning, smile..."

At this moment, Hogwarts's owl arrived near Mr. Leme's residence.

Dico walked out using Apparition, retrieving the letter and Two-Sided Mirror brought by the owl, and gave the owl some food and water.

After returning to the Alchemy Room, he handed the letter and mirror to Pabi.

"Miss Swedding, this is Young Master Potter's letter." he said.

Pabi exclaimed, telling Newt, "Newt, help Auntie open the letter... Yes, put it in front of me."

Few gathered around, reading the letter's contents together.

"This Harry, he actually left me in France!" Pabi said unwillingly, "Isn't it just the Snake Monster? It can't run outside the Hogwarts castle..."

"I think Mr. Potter makes a good point." Newt said with his head down: "Albus and I talked about this before; I also think the beast causing trouble at school is the Snake Monster—but what I didn't expect was that the Snake Monster turned out to be raised by Slytherin."

"I've seen Slytherin's handwritten letter." Pabi said annoyedly, holding the letter and shaking it in the air hard: "That old fellow, really... very stubborn, but that shouldn't be Harry's reason for not coming to pick me up."

"Wait!" The former Ministry of Magic chief Auror suddenly spotted a loophole: "Aunt Pabi, the Mr. Potter you're talking about, is he the Boy Who Lived with Dumbledore?"

"Yes." Pabi nodded, looking at Newt: "Wasn't Newt saying he'd recently met him?"

"Yes." Newt remembered and said with a smile: "That boy is very polite and has sharp insight; I can see why Dumbledore values him so much."

Tina had been listening to their conversation, and, hearing Newt's words, she suddenly said, "So now Dumbledore's favorite student is Harry?"
