Chapter 282 - Chapter 140: Sis, You’re Not Dead? (8000)_4

Then the two of them tacitly cast a Petrification Spell on each of the two people.

"Let's go in through the main entrance." Vivi reached out and held Harry's hand, just like that Christmas a hundred years ago when she first brought Harry to Nimongard, her head held high, full of pride.

The defenses inside Nimongard Castle weren't tight; from the main entrance to the first floor's main hall, Harry and Vivi only engaged six wizard guards.

Through Mind Reading, they learned that Gellert was by the fire in the main hall on the third floor.

Harry and Vivi made their way to the third floor, yet encountered no obstacles during the journey.

Before the main hall on the third floor was a large solid wooden door.

The door opened wide, revealing the space within.

In front of the floor-to-ceiling window stood an old wizard with white hair, his hands clasped behind his back.

"I believe I've reminded you, knock before you come to see me?" His tone sounded somewhat impatient.

"But you didn't knock when you took my Golden Galleons, Gael." Vivi said.

At the sound of her voice, Grindelwald's back suddenly froze.

He then turned around sharply.

"Sister?!"

There was a thread of disbelief in his voice, mixed with a joy of something regained, and a hint of inexplicable bitterness.

"It's nice to see you still remember I'm your sister, Gael." Vivi smiled as she looked at him, "I just didn't expect that after all these years, my brother seems to have become a prisoner under the watch of the Ministry of Magic?"

"Yes, a prisoner."

Grindelwald laughed, turning his gaze to Harry, his mouth twisting downward.

"Huh... Scarhead Enchantress... Is this the boy you were willing to go to great lengths to search through time and space for? He doesn't seem that special, apart from the ever more prominent lightning-shaped scar on his forehead."

Seeing Harry, Grindelwald's hatred flared up intensely, even causing his white hair to stand on end, each strand pointing upwards.

Vivi's gaze suddenly turned dangerous.

"Are you angry, my dear sister?" Grindelwald noticed his sister's protectiveness over Scarhead, and shook his head with a light laugh, "Yes, your boy being mocked and ridiculed naturally warrants your anger, but have you ever thought about how I was ridiculed by others when you disappeared, leaving me at eight?"

He clutched his chest with one hand, speaking painfully: "I had to desperately prove to others that my sister didn't abandon me, she just... she just disappeared, or something happened to her."

"Oh, I forgot."

At this point, Grindelwald laughed self-deprecatingly: "In your eyes, you only have your golden boy—just because he picked a crown off a tree for you—don't tell me that you fell head over heels for him just because of such a trivial thing?"

Vivi's gaze softened slightly.

Even Harry turned his head to look at the distant snow-covered mountains.

He felt a bit guilty too, although Gellert emptied Vivi's vault, Vivi did leave behind her young brother because of him, which indeed feels unjust.

Grindelwald noticed the guilt of his sister and Scarhead Enchantress, letting out a small sigh of relief.

It seems... the emotional card strategy really works.

Heaven knows how many times his sister has dreamt of beating him in countless ways recently.

Even though he was a somewhat renowned Dark Wizard, the bloodline suppression from his sister still left him feeling utterly defeated.

He continued pressing: "I know, after becoming the white swan, flying high in the sky, you couldn't see your poor brother... but none of that matters anymore, it's all in the past, and I could only go to the United Kingdom to try my luck, looking for news of you."

"When I found out my sister left a hundred thousand Golden Galleons in Gringotts in the United Kingdom, do you know how happy I was? Sister?" Grindelwald laughed self-deprecatingly: "Yet reality hit me hard, I frantically searched the vault for any message you left me, but apart from those cold Golden Galleons, there was nothing..."

"That's right, nothing, sister." Grindelwald raised his head, sniffing, as if trying not to let himself cry.

"Gael..." Vivi's violet eyes shimmered with tears.

"This is my revenge on you, sister." Grindelwald laughed, though his smile was bitter, "Seeing you so angry makes me happy—because I finally caused you heartache, sister."

Vivi felt very guilty.

She admitted she wasn't a qualified sister, abandoning the brother she relied on for a boy.

"It's just two million seven hundred sixty-three thousand two hundred fifteen Golden Galleons, it's not important." She said.

Gellert felt a long, emotionless line trace through his mind.

Remembering so clearly, even down to the odd numbers, you say it's not important?

He felt he had to add some more—

"It is important, sister." Gellert continued: "I know, it took you a lot of effort, from the poacher camps of the Three British Isles, to the lair of the Fire Ash Snake Faction, to clearing out the Rebel Fairies' stock, to accumulate so much money, it's your sweat and blood—and I, Gellert Grindelwald, take pride in exacting my revenge by trampling on your hard-earned treasures."

As he said this, Gellert clasped his hands behind his back, leaning slightly forward, wearing a sarcastic expression.

"You know that's your sister's hard work?" Harry instinctively felt he should defend Vivi, and thus asked in return.
