Chapter 359 - Chapter 166: Sebastian Saru

"Patronus Charm?"

Harry remembered this spell; before the final battle with Lanlock, the Phoenix Society was preparing to learn it.

But...

Because he traveled through time, he never got the chance to learn this spell.

The same goes for the Mind Sealing Spell.

What he didn't know was that Cassandra and Vivi seemed unwilling to teach him the spell.

Harry shook his head and said, "No, you know, before returning to this era, I had just entered the sixth grade and hadn't come into contact with the Patronus Charm."

"I see..."

Dumbledore nodded knowingly and said, "I still suggest you learn a few spells that can deal with Dementors, as these creatures are extremely evil. Generally, only the Patronus Charm..."

Before he could finish, Dumbledore saw flames ignite in both of Harry's hands.

On the left was the azure Ancient Burei Immortal Fire, and on the right was the jet-black Fiery Fire.

The expression clearly said, "Old headmaster, are you talking about the Ancient Burei Immortal Fire or the Fiery Fire?"

Dumbledore stared at the two flames, silent for a moment.

He knew that aside from the Patronus Charm, Fiery Fire and Ancient Burei Immortal Fire could also harm Dementors.

"Learning more spells never hurts, Harry."

That was the only way he could save face.

Azkaban Prison is located on a small island in the center of the North Sea.

It was built in the 15th century and became the United Kingdom's Wizard Prison in 1718.

The island that Azkaban was built on never appeared on any maps; its interior was magically enlarged.

But what the Ministry of Magic didn't expect was that the place had become a lair for Dementors, creatures that can suck away all happiness from victims and have a very negative effect on those near them.

The authorities considered destroying the fortress, but feared retaliation from the island or the Dementors on it, so the proposal was not accepted.

Dumbledore brought Harry via Apparition to the outskirts of Azkaban, where the sky was overcast and the sea was turbulent, adding an eerie atmosphere to the isolated island.

Seeing Harry's curiosity, Dumbledore smiled and explained, "The weather at Azkaban is always like this, Harry. Haven't you been here before?"

Harry looked up at Dumbledore.

"A century ago, I was a law-abiding student, Professor. But I've always been curious about Azkaban and why it became a prison for wizards."

"That's not a mystery, Harry," Dumbledore nodded, "Actually, Azkaban was originally a fortress, inhabited by an evil wizard who called himself Extis. This wizard liked to lure Muggles to his island and torture them to death."

"That's really evil," Harry said at the right moment.

"Yes, after Extis died, the Hidden Spell he used on the fortress and island failed, and that's when the Ministry of Magic discovered the island,"

Dumbledore's eyes twinkled as he looked at the fortress ahead, continuing to educate Harry.

"Afterward, the island was abandoned for years. When the International Confidentiality Law took effect, people realized that using small Wizard Prisons was impractical because prisoners who wanted to escape often made conspicuous sounds, smells, and lights. Thus, the Ministry of Magic planned to build a dedicated Wizard Prison on the remote Hebrides Islands."

"But in 1718, Damocles Ror was elected Minister of Magic and he thought instead of spending resources building a prison, they should use Azkaban as a prison and allow the Dementors on the island to serve as guards, reducing costs."

"Despite objections, the plan was implemented. With almost no jailbreaks or breaches of the Confidentiality Law, Azkaban has served as a prison ever since."

"That's all I know about Azkaban," Dumbledore finally said.

Harry suddenly said, "I heard a story from Mr. Septimus."

"Mr. Septimus?" Dumbledore asked curiously, "Septimus Weasley?"

"Oh no, he's Gareth's son," Harry shook his head and said, "I'm talking about Septimus Malfoy, who's Lucius Malfoy's great-grandfather."

"I see..."

Dumbledore's curiosity was piqued, "It seems you're quite familiar with the Malfoy family? I remember you and Miss Cassandra Malfoy from the Malfoy family are good friends, but according to my impression, the Malfoys a century ago were even more focused on bloodline... and you who went back a hundred years was just an orphan from the Muggle World."

"It wasn't like that a century ago, Professor Dumbledore," Harry said, "At least Cassandra's father, Mr. Septimus, wasn't an extreme pure-blood enthusiast."

"Why was that?" Dumbledore became more curious. In his memory, Dark Minister Septimus Malfoy and his son Ignatius Malfoy were extreme pure-blood enthusiasts.

Harry's face darkened slightly.

It's very likely that the Malfoy family's evolution into pure-blood enthusiasts was because a Mudblood with blonde hair eloped with their eldest daughter...
