Chapter 394 - Chapter 172: Cassandra in Slumber

"Thank you, Professor." Harry stepped forward and took the package pointed out by Professor Sprout.

"Remember to notify Mr. Longbottom and have him come to see me." Professor Sprout said, "I have something to discuss with him."

"Alright, Professor." Harry nodded and left the greenhouse.

As he passed through the hall, he relayed the message to Neville, then climbed the steps to the front of the Headmaster's Office.

This time, the Dripping Stone Beast didn't even speak, it just jumped aside.

Harry glanced at it in surprise, not expecting it to be so tactful this time.

"Professor." Harry walked into the Headmaster's Office, attempting to find traces of Dumbledore.

However, to his disappointment, Dumbledore wasn't in the school.

Harry patiently sat in the Headmaster's Office, waiting for over half an hour before Dumbledore walked in from outside.

Seeing Harry's silhouette, Dumbledore was visibly momentarily stunned.

He hadn't expected Harry to be waiting for him in the Headmaster's Office.

"Professor." Harry got up and greeted Dumbledore.

"I'm sorry, Harry." Dumbledore said, sitting down in a chair, "The Ministry of Magic had some matters for me, so I was delayed for a bit — is there something you need here?"

"I wanted to ask if I could go to the Forbidden Forest." Harry said, folding his hands, "There's just one last trial of Merlin left, and I just got some Sweet Mallow leaves from Professor Sprout. I suspect Cassandra might be there."

"I remember I gave you leave last year, Harry." Dumbledore said with a smile, "Besides, today is just a self-study day, there are no classes."

"There are Dementors at the entrance of Hogwarts and in the Forbidden Forest, Professor." Harry sighed, "You know, Dementors naturally don't understand the concept of forgiveness, and I don't want to cause trouble."

Dumbledore looked at Harry expressionlessly, a gleam flashed across the half-moon spectacles.

Look at you, what do you mean by that?

You don't want to cause trouble?

You don't want to cause trouble, yet you got rid of three Dementors on the train?

What do you think I was doing just now? The Ministry of Magic wants to find out why the three Dementors who went to search the train disappeared without a trace...

"I know you don't want to cause trouble for the school, Harry." Albus·Heart Tired·Dumbledore sighed, "But I think your matter is more important, and those Dementors won't threaten your safety."

Yes, the Dementors should worry about their own safety, Dumbledore even thought somewhat gloatingly.

"What if a Dementor attacks me?" Harry pressed.

"That's their responsibility, Harry." Dumbledore answered affirmatively.

Good, that's the line Harry was waiting for.

"With that assurance from you, I feel much more at ease." Harry stood up and said, "If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave now, Professor."

Professor Dumbledore nodded, allowing Harry to leave the Headmaster's Office.

As he walked to the side of Newt's tent, Harry was stopped by Pabi.

"Harry, where are you going?" Pabi looked at Harry warily, "There are Dementors everywhere outside, it's very dangerous! Newt told me everything!"

"I'm going to the Merlin Ruins, there's just one left, Pabi." Harry said, reaching out to ruffle Pabi's head.

"I'll go with you, Harry." Pabi bounced, suggesting.

Harry glanced at Pabi and advised, "Dementors are not to be trifled with, Pabi. What if they target you? Be a good girl and stay with Professor Scamander, it's much safer here."

"Please, Harry." Pabi clung to Harry's coat, pulling him as she said, "Harry~ Harry~ you know Dementors only attack humanoid creatures, and I'm not really..."

"I can't take you with me, Pabi." Harry sighed, "I've got Snake Monster Alfonso in my wallet, and I'm not confident about letting you in there — what if it stares you to death?"

"Alright then." Pabi regretfully stepped back a few steps, "Go then — I'll wait for you to return here."

"Alright." Harry nodded to Pabi, then entered Newt's tent and used Apparition to arrive in Hogsmeade.

Upon entering Hogsmeade, Harry pulled out his Lightwheel 2000 from his wallet and mounted it.

He flew toward the Forbidden Forest, following the location he remembered.

It should be noted that the Forbidden Forest seemed to have been expanded by some mysterious magic. On the map, the Forbidden Forest wasn't very large — but once inside, you'd find that it was almost as big as the entire United Kingdom.

The location of the final trial was in front of Czechdol's tomb.

Harry pressed down his broomstick amidst the trees, landing on the opposite bank of a pond.

All around were towering trees, each seemingly needing four or five people to encircle, looking like they were at least hundreds of years old.

Just above the pond in the distance, tiny green lights were flickering like fireflies — but they weren't real fireflies; they were some kind of remnant Merlin power.

Harry first used a Detection Spell, then walked onto the Merlin Ruins' disk, scattering some Sweet Mallow leaves on it.

A surge of green energy erupted from the disk, and Harry took the opportunity to flick his wand and unleash a Detection Spell.

The results from the two Detection Spells were different: after activating Merlin's trial, three cauldron-like objects appeared around him.
