Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

Within the Uchiha clan grounds...

"What do you mean... let Dave get engaged to his daughter?" The second elder felt a bit pained... He was already fifty, and he had finally had a daughter and a son. Why was his daughter being claimed so quickly?

And he didn't dare disagree.

The clan leader himself had come to arrange the match.

Who could stand up to that...?

And the child was Tobirama's son.

If nothing else, Tobirama would definitely become the Second Hokage or Third Hokage in the future.

After all, Madara might become the Second Hokage too.

So, thinking about it, it wasn't a bad thing. And judging from his daughter and the boy's appearances, it seemed like there was really something between them.

Dave was truly confused. He had just wanted to show Uncle Madara that he didn't hate the Uchiha clan like his old man did. Was he looking for a tactful way to say it? Why had it led straight to an engagement???

And seeing Tsukimi's shy expression, Dave felt completely off. Sister, we've only known each other for a day—is it normal for you to react like this??

Though the two of them had developed quickly enough, was this the endpoint?

"Well, how about it?" Uchiha Madara asked coldly. He said it like a question, but looking at Uchiha Madara's face, the second elder felt that if he said no, he'd be wiped out immediately...

"Okay, okay. I think Dave is a pretty good kid, and my daughter and Dave like each other too. So, it's settled! They'll get married when they turn sixteen!" the second elder said quickly.

When Tsukimi heard her father's words from the side, her face turned so red it was practically smoking...

She knew her future destiny, and she wasn't stupid.

The best fate for a woman from a prominent clan was marriage.

Moreover, the other person was Dave, who had been very nice to her today.

Tsukimi liked him a lot, and she had no objections.

Though it felt a bit awkward, it seemed to her that Dave felt the same, and he had probably been dragged here by the clan leader...

But it was still early—they could just take their time getting along.

Until they left the Uchiha clan grounds, Dave's face was still dazed.

He had a fiancée at such a young age... this... this damn capitalism! He... he loved it so much! Hahaha!

After Madara and Dave wandered around the village for a while, Madara dropped Dave off at the compound and left.

Senju compound.

"What did you and that bastard Madara do today?" Tobirama asked expressionlessly.

"Uh... this and that... this and that..." Dave swallowed and told Tobirama everything that had happened today...

"You go back to bed first—we have class tomorrow," Tobirama said with a straight face.

"Okay."

The next day...

"Uh... Father... you??? Who did you fight with??" Dave looked at his kind old man's bruised face, swallowed, and asked.

"It's nothing.

I'll take you to school first.

I won't be teaching today.

Hiruzen's father, Sarutobi Sasuke, will cover for me."

Of course, Tobirama couldn't admit he'd gone to the Uchiha clan grounds last night to fight Madara one-on-one and gotten beaten.

He could only brush off the question lightly.

"Oh, oh..."

"Brother!! You have to make that damn Madara explain himself!! Dave is only five years old! He got engaged to that evil Uchiha girl at five!!" After dropping Dave off at school with the Flying Thunder God Technique, Tobirama ran straight to his big brother's house and yelled at Hashirama.

"Well... isn't this great...? I think Dave and that little girl like each other too, and it'd be good for our Senju clan and the Uchiha clan to get closer." Hashirama said after a pause.

At the same time, Hashirama felt a trace of envy in his heart.

What a great kid Dave was...

Not only did he not oppose arranged marriages, but he had gotten along so well with the little girl in just one day.

Hashirama felt depressed thinking about his unlucky son Kokuma, who hadn't come back to see his poor old father in five or six years.

"Um, Tobirama... your face... you didn't go fight Madara yesterday, did you?" Hashirama noticed Tobirama's swollen, pig-like face and asked with a twinkle in his eye.

"That's right—I lost the fight. Bastard! Just wait until I advance my Flying Thunder God Technique further! That bastard won't touch a hair on my head! Forget that! You have to go to the Uchiha clan and sort this out! I'm absolutely against the marriage!!"

"...."

While Tobirama continued his rant at Hashirama, inside the ninja academy...

"Hey, morning, Tsukimi!" Dave saw Tsukimi sitting next to him, took her little hand, and asked happily.

"Dave... good morning, Dave..." Tsukimi said with a blushing face as he held her hand.

Though the two of them were engaged... it was too soon... ah... so shy...

"Damn! That lucky bastard! Dave is amazing!!" Hiruzen watched Dave's move with stars in his eyes, thinking to himself: Big bro, teach me!!

"Hmph, what's so great about it? I heard from my dad last night that Dave was taken by the Uchiha clan leader to get engaged to Tsukimi.

They've probably known each other for a while.

What's the big deal? Look at Dave! How's he supposed to protect Konoha in the future!"

Danzo said with a look of disdain.

As a candidate for the next head of the Shimura clan, his father always told him about major village events.

The engagement between the Uchiha and Senju clans had already reached every clan head's desk in Konoha yesterday.

He also knew Dave had the same Wood Release as the First Hokage and would definitely be very strong in the future.

But with such talent, he wasn't studying hard—instead, he was wasting time on girls! How awful! How could he protect Konoha later!! Just like his best friend—Danzo shot Hiruzen a disdainful look. This guy had been caught peeping at the women's bathhouse two days ago. He was just as bad as Dave!

Hmph, it seemed the heavy responsibility of protecting Konoha would fall on his shoulders alone in the future!

"That's amazing... why doesn't anyone arrange an engagement for me..." Hiruzen said with a dejected face... Of course he knew about it... but he was envious!! Why didn't anyone set him up, the next heir of the Sarutobi clan?!

Danzo glanced at Hiruzen, whose face was full of sleaziness, and wanted to say: Look in a mirror and compare yourself to Dave—you'd know why... But he didn't want to hurt his friend's feelings, so he just stayed silent...
