Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Why Can You Two!

After the morning reading session ended, the students quickly ran towards the cafeteria.

After all, if you're late there's truly no seat available.

Li Yang had a natural advantage at the door, so he was far ahead of the others in his class.

So when Jiang Banxia chased after, Li Yang's figure was already gone from the hallway.

In the cafeteria, she didn't spot him either.

It wasn't until close to eight o'clock that she saw Li Yang carrying a chair from outside, placing it at Wu Tianqi's spot.

By this time, the English teacher had already arrived.

Jiang Banxia's English scores were rather average; she rarely scored above 130, which is why her total score always hovered around 670. Because in Chinese, there were consistently ten to twenty points deducted, coupled with her mediocre English, with a consistent deduction of twenty-five to thirty-five points.

Considering the annual Qingbei admission cut-off score of 680, she had only twenty or so points of margin in math, physics, chemistry, and biology if luck was on her side. If not, the margin was only a dozen points.

So, she was extremely serious about her English class.

However, she couldn't help but sneak backward glances several times.

She couldn't see anything, even though she was 170, she couldn't see over the height of textbooks on the desks of senior students.

She thought that once class was over, Li Yang would come over, but after two English classes, even during breaks, she didn't get to see him.

Then it was biology class, chemistry class...

Until 11:50 when lunch break arrived, students in the class rushed towards the cafeteria, she stayed at the back.

She kept staring at the doorway, but didn't see his figure leaving.

When most people had gone, she stood up, turned to look at the corner of the back row.

Li Yang was deeply immersed in solving problems, by the end of the morning, he had finished two sets of comprehensive science papers.

If he couldn't solve them, he would check the answers, then flip through books, and lastly do reverse deductions.

The memory becomes more profound this way, but it consumes a lot of time.

Especially with some physics calculation problems, various application of formulas, principles, made it exceedingly complex.

A faint fragrance entered his nostrils, and he finally returned to his senses, discovering Jiang Banxia was looking at his test papers.

One could say mistakes scattered everywhere, written in a chaotic mess.

"If you want to study by yourself, you're already running out of time. You absolutely need someone to help you summarize and consolidate."

Jiang Banxia said earnestly.

From the questions on the test paper, it was apparently clear that Li Yang was unfamiliar even with the periodic table, and clearly didn't understand the various valence states of elements.

"But I don't really want to trouble you, after all, you need to study too."

"Hey, Li Yang, isn't this the kind of thing a bad student like you shouldn't be considering?"

"Huh?"

Li Yang suddenly realized a problem, although the college entrance exam wasn't frightening to him, how to achieve a reasonable score was extremely important.

He thought that agreeing to Liu Dayou wasn't a big deal, it wouldn't have a significant impact on his college entrance exam scores.

In reality, he was completely wrong, he needed Jiang Banxia; only in this way could he 'reasonably' achieve good scores.

"But I already promised the class teacher…"

Li Yang quietly uttered.

Jiang Banxia pursued, "Promised what?"

"Promised not to proactively speak to you, not to interfere with your study status. The class teacher is particularly ruthless, even made me swear, if I fail to do so, I'd be a bachelor for life. I'm the only child at home... he's cursing my family to end bloodlines. Maybe… just forget about it…"

Jiang Banxia was dumbfounded when she heard this.

Whether it's reasonable or not, she'd visualize it herself anyhow.

"Can things like this even count?"

"Three feet above is deity watching."

"Then if I come to you, it shouldn't count as breaking the oath, right?"

Li Yang thought for a while, earnestly responded, "Once the class teacher finds out, remember to push the responsibility to me."

"Huh? Wouldn't the class teacher just say you broke the oath?"

"Breaking the oath is an objective existence; what he believes doesn't conflict with objective existence. The divine beings are not his relatives; he says it's broken, is it just broken then?"

Jiang Banxia gave a knowing smile, "So… coming or not?"

"Coming!"

"Then I'll go fetch a chair…"

"No need, no need, my chair is wide, can sit two people. After all, the side of the desk is too narrow."

After speaking, Li Yang sent a message to Wu Tianqi.

...

Wu Tianqi received the message, and after school, he ran out of school.

He also saw Li Yang during morning reading, swore in front of Liu Dayou, definitely for his chair, for his basketball.

Such friendship, what more is there to say, isn't it just packing two meals, simple.

Three years of high school, knowing many people, but truly daring to confront the forbidden grounds for him, except for Li Yang, there was no one else.

He didn't eat himself, prioritizing to bring it back for Li Yang.

After rushing for half an hour, sweating all over, he finally arrived at the classroom.

He could understand Li Yang's mindset of wanting to study diligently during this time, soon it is the selection day for the Sect, even if he doesn't qualify for the two great Holy Lands, there are at least dozens of top-tier Immortal Sects, hundreds of second-tier Immortal Sects, and hundreds of third-tier Immortal Sects to choose from.

Only, once he arrived at the classroom, suddenly that excitement vanished.

Li Yang and Jiang Banxia were sitting together, the two were having an extremely serious exchange, even the aroma of food Wu Tianqi carried didn't elicit any response.

And… why can the two of you share one chair?

Early this morning, he suggested to Li Yang for squeezing together, but Li Yang turned and left.

Damn!

He directly walked over, placing the packed meals and milk tea on top of the pile of books in front of Li Yang, then turned and walked away.

Cannot watch!

This scene would easily ruin one's Dao heart.

He really wanted to expose his brother's lies, really wanted to say half of this meal was prepared for that witch Wang Manqi.

But then reconsidered, a brother getting favored by the Sect's top prodigy is also considered his fortune.

Though it is bound the Sect elders would oppose, though the top prodigy would have no ties with him once she goes to the Holy Land, there was at least once.

Not everyone is qualified to converse with the top prodigy, in fact, most people only dare to silently pay attention.

That kind of witch Wang Manqi, although very beautiful, at least someone dared to actively engage.

Even if the requirements were high, there was always a demand.

It's like porcelain pieces, one piece is exquisite, rare in the world. Even if the price is exorbitant, someone could afford it, someone would bid.

While another piece not only more exquisite but also globally unique, regardless of any price has not the slightest psychological advantage.

Standing afar admiring brings satisfaction, simply cannot birth any thought of possession.

He watched Li Yang and Jiang Banxia eating together, drinking milk tea, especially Jiang Banxia's cheerful look, as sweet as having eaten candied fruit.

Why does it seem so sour?

Sour enough to make the stomach ache, weak all over...

Damn! I forgot to eat lunch!
