Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Tsunade Investigates

"Lady Tsunade, we've found out that there's indeed a rampaging boar in the Forest of Death. This morning, it broke through the protective fence at the northwest corner and damaged the fields and the village chief's home in a nearby village to Konoha."

"Later, the village chief came to Konoha to issue a commission to remove the boar. After the investigation, the mission group deemed it a C-Class Task. At 9:30 this morning, it was taken over by Uchiha Yoichi of the Uchiha clan."

"Now, Uchiha Yoichi has completed the task, and the boar's body has been taken by the client, who just arrived in Konoha to submit the mission completion report."

"This is the data collected by the Anbu on Uchiha Yoichi, Lady Tsunade."

The Anbu narrated all the details Tsunade wanted to investigate without realizing her face was furious when biting her nail as he reported the rampaging boar incident.

What rampaging boar? She was trying to find a way to escape!

"Yo, Tsunade, it's rare to see you not drinking this early in the morning. So you're studying boars here!"

A voice with a teasing tone came, giving Tsunade a place to vent her anger.

Tsunade reached out and directly flung the almost two-meter-tall Jiraiya into the wall. With a loud 'bang,' the wall cracked from the human-shaped dent Jiraiya made in the center.

"Jiraiya, besides you, is there any other ninjutsu that can turn people into animals? Also, where were you last night?"

"Tsu, Tsunade, what's wrong? I was just teasing you..."

Jiraiya saw Tsunade clenching her fists, producing crisp sounds, suddenly recalling a previous near-death experience, and hurriedly answering her questions with raised hands.

"I was at Minato's last night, and he created a ninjutsu that's quite impressive. Minato intends to teach it to me."

"As for the Frog Transformation Jutsu you mentioned, only I know of it. It's a ninjutsu from Mount Myoboku, and no one else knows it...."

After hearing this, Tsunade, knowing Jiraiya wouldn't dare to deceive her, reluctantly clicked her tongue.

Being fooled like this and nearly dying, Tsunade would definitely not be content as if nothing happened.

But this kind of thing sounds beyond ninja logic. Though Tsunade dares not claim one of the top three in Konoha, she's among the top ranks in Konoha Village. Who could silently place her consciousness into a boar's body?

Not even the Spirit Transformation Jutsu can achieve this, right?

"Tsunade, what's wrong?"

"None of your business!"

Tsunade snorted coldly and then turned to leave, preparing to ask the Third Generation Hokage.

A ninjutsu capable of placing a person's consciousness into an animal's body — perhaps her teacher, the Doctor of Ninjutsu, might know a little about it. There's also another thing on Tsunade's mind.

And that's that Uchiha brat!

Though the completion of the task didn't justify hitting her, Tsunade couldn't let go of this grudge in her heart; she also vaguely remembered hearing something about superpowers and the Lightning Release Chakra Mode.

The Anbu just handed over Uchiha Yoichi's data to her, and Tsunade plans to inquire with the Third Generation Hokage about it together.

After completing the C-Class Task, Uchiha Yoichi headed to Qingchuan Town in the south of the Land of Fire.

The journey was a bit long, taking around half a day by Uchiha Yoichi's normal travel speed.

There are quite a few ninjas who cannot bear the monotonous and constant life of battles, choosing to leave the ninja village or, in some cases, defect, though these ninjas usually have no other skills besides killing.

After leaving the ninja village, they can only rely on their martial strength to plunder wealth for their enjoyment.

This particular B-Class Task was a commission issued by a merchant association in Qingchuan Town, where a violent corporation backed by a ninja had robbed his goods and threatened his business.

His samurai were useless, so he could only issue a task to Konoha Ninja Village.

Shortly after leaving Konoha, Uchiha Yoichi took off his Headband and changed his clothes.

The Konoha Headband can serve both as a deterrent and a hazard. At his age, if he exposed himself as a Konoha ninja and a member of the Uchiha clan, he might face greater dangers.

After arriving in Aoki Town, Uchiha Yoichi found the employer to inquire about the mission. He used the Transformation Jutsu to assume a fierce appearance, directly dispelling the employer's worries about him being alone, and disclosed all the information he knew.

After hearing everything, Uchiha Yoichi left a simple 'wait for the news,' then departed.

He later gathered some information himself, even finding an opportunity to use Illusion Technique to control the two subordinates of the ninja to ask for some intelligence.

Although Uchiha Yoichi didn't major in Illusion Techniques, after awakening the Sharingan, he was taught two Sharingan Genjutsus by his clan: one offensive and the other defensive, Mirror Heaven and Earth Change.

His skills in Illusion Techniques were average, but dealing with ordinary people was no problem. Thus, he obtained sufficient information: the target was a rogue ninja from the Grass Village, Akutagawa Jiro.

Uchiha Yoichi would never underestimate the Ninja World; being careless here always leads to death.

After confirming Akutagawa Jiro's mediocre strength, Uchiha Yoichi sneaked over during his lurking period. Finding an opportunity, he first used shuriken to seal all escape routes, then used a Great Fireball, burning Akutagawa Jiro and his two subordinates to ashes.

"Now, that's more like it. It's not my Shuriken Throwing Technique that's trash; it was just that peculiar boar," Uchiha Yoichi said with satisfaction. Earlier, his shuriken could've rivaled a Heaven and Earth Net.

Dealing with a rogue ninja from the Grass Village was no difficulty, and having left the village, played and reveled for so long, Akutagawa Jiro didn't even realize he had lost his edge; perhaps the task was labeled a B-Class Task because of some intimidating jutsu the Grass Village rogue ninja had showcased.

Uchiha Yoichi searched Akutagawa Jiro's base and found a chest containing money; besides thousands of ryo, there was also a well-preserved ninjutsu scroll.

"As expected, it's Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu. I've heard Grass Village is adept at imitating other villages' ninjutsu. Isn't this just a poor imitation of the Uchiha's Great Fireball?"

This jutsu had no training value. Concerning Fire Release Ninjutsu, no clan, nor any ninja village in the Ninja World, could match the Uchiha's expertise.

So Uchiha Yoichi spat a fireball, directly destroying the ninjutsu scroll. Bringing it back wouldn't earn him a reward.

After resolving Akutagawa Jiro and cleaning up, Uchiha Yoichi returned to the employer, informing him that the task was complete. However, Uchiha Yoichi advised the employer to wait half a month before submitting the task completion to Konoha.

This would allow Uchiha Yoichi to stay outside for half a month longer, giving him enough time to take a good look around outside.

Being in the Ninja World for over a year, the first six months were spent desperately practicing ninjutsu, fearing being killed the moment he entered the battleground; the latter six months involved familiarizing himself with the ninja lifestyle, though his career faced many setbacks, and he was still labeled as deliberately exploiting teammates.

Konoha Village wasn't as perfect as Senju Hashirama claimed it to be, the ideals of the village being one big family; just a few decades from its founding, it had already started to decay.
