"Alright, now that you have the Summoning Scroll, you can capture a Summoned Beast."
Kakashi looked at Uchiha Yoichi after he completed the Summoning Scroll and asked about the mission: "Should we proceed with the mission now?"
"What's the rush? This mission isn't that difficult."
Uchiha Yoichi, satisfied, glanced at the Summoning Scroll in his hand and put it away before saying to Kakashi, "How's the intel gathering I asked for going?"
"Just about done. This is a detailed map of the area around the Iwata Family's place, but it seems like Iwata Kumaji has sensed someone is after him, so there are four additional Grass Village Ninja there."
Kakashi placed a map on the table and reported the intel he'd observed over the past few days.
Iwata Kumaji is, after all, a minister of the Land of Grass and a close ally of the Land of Earth. When he sensed someone was targeting him, he naturally hired more guards.
Originally, his house had over a dozen Samurai and six hired Wandering Ninja, and now there are four additional Grass Village Ninja. Theoretically, their defense is maxed out.
"I attempted to use Ninjutsu near the Iwata Family's place, but detected nothing, meaning they likely don't have a Perception Ninja. However, since I've never seen them act, their exact types are unclear."
After listening, Uchiha Yoichi assumed a relaxed, senior-like air and patted Kakashi on the shoulder, saying, "Good job. Although the intel collection isn't perfect, this is already very good."
Kakashi rolled his eyes and asked, "What do we do now?"
"First, let's change our identities. Remember, from now on, you are Killer Bee from the Hidden Cloud in the Land of Earth, and I am Dodai. In a bit, go buy two sets of clothes and change out of your Konoha Ninja Suit."
While speaking, Uchiha Yoichi took out two Hidden Cloud Headbands from his Ninja Tools Bag; these were obtained during a previous mission.
"This warehouse belongs to the Iwata Family and is used to store grain and medicine; Iwata Kumaji intends to sell to the Land of Earth. Conveniently, during my Shadow Clone's intel gathering, I encountered two individuals from the Land of Earth, who were respectfully escorted into a hotel by Iwata's people."
"Tomorrow night, we'll blow this place up. Then, we'll use the Transformation Jutsu to disguise ourselves as people from the Land of Earth and confront Iwata Kumaji; you stay silent and let me do the talking."
"Then, have a Shadow Clone suddenly appear. Your Shadow Clone will release Lightning Release Ninjutsu, drawing the attention of the expendable ninjas at Iwata Kumaji's place. My Shadow Clone will handle the Grass Village Ninja!"
"Once their attention is drawn to the Shadow Clones, we'll disengage the Transformation Jutsu and, using our Hidden Cloud identities, kill Iwata Kumaji! Remember, as you leave, shout my identity—Hidden Cloud's Dodai. Got that, Killer Bee?"
"Oh, and when you make a panicked escape, remember to drop the Headband."
Despite feeling a bit dizzy hearing the series of plans, Kakashi memorized everything Uchiha Yoichi said.
Once Kakashi carefully thought it over, he found that the plan was tightly knit, like a fishing net continually drawing Iwata Kumaji in once executed.
In the end, they'd frame the Hidden Cloud. If the Land of Earth found out, they'd certainly not connect it to Konoha.
"Teaming up with you was a good choice, Captain."
Upon hearing this, Kakashi began to prepare as per Uchiha Yoichi's instructions.
And Uchiha Yoichi didn't remain idle. He took the map and intel provided by Kakashi and prepared to scout once more.
The survival of a ninja hinges foremost on intelligence. As long as the intel is accurate and preparations are made in advance, even a Super Kage could be taken down.
That's why Uchiha Yoichi always carefully verifies intel on missions; the world is too dangerous to be careless.
Moreover, Uchiha Yoichi leveraged the technology of the Ninja World, where telescopes existed but were rarely used by ninjas. On his last village outing, he found a craftsman to make him a twenty-times magnification telescope.
It could see up to two to three kilometers away, better than many Byakugan.
After confirming the map and routes, Uchiha Yoichi found a vantage point to observe the activities within the Iwata Family using the telescope.
"...Red hair, and what's she doing with those Ninjutsu?"
Uchiha Yoichi noticed something odd about a Grass Village Ninja. After observing for a while, he saw that the Grass Village Ninja seemed to perform a Ninjutsu at regular intervals, exhibiting a frequency akin to Perception Ninjutsu.
"If they are indeed a Perception Ninja, wouldn't Kakashi have been discovered? But testing it further seems prudent..."
Uchiha Yoichi then created a Shadow Clone and sent it near the Iwata Family to use Ninjutsu again.
This time, Yoichi observed very carefully from a distance. Right after his Shadow Clone used the Ninjutsu, two Grass Village Ninja along with a red-haired female ninja emerged from the Iwata house and headed towards the Shadow Clone's location.
"It's indeed a Perception Ninja, red-haired, a woman—could she be Karin's mother?"
Uchiha Yoichi pondered after dispelling the Shadow Clone. Perception Ninja are extremely rare, even in Konoha. Having a few in the Grass Village would be considered a blessing.
And with red hair, as well...
"The plan needs to change. We're going to target this female ninja as well, capture her first, then find out more about her."
If she is indeed Karin's mother, her abilities would be incredibly valuable.
Strong healing abilities, perception abilities, and possibly even latent Vajra Seal abilities.
"I might need to revise the plan; I'll return to discuss with Kakashi."
Uchiha Yoichi originally intended to kill Iwata Kumaji and frame the Hidden Cloud, but now he planned to also abduct a female ninja.
Once Kakashi returned, Yoichi shared his thoughts, but only mentioned the red-haired female ninja as a Perception Ninja, omitting the potential Uzumaki bloodline abilities.
"Captain, isn't it a bit inappropriate to abduct a woman during a mission? I suggest we wait until the mission is over..."
"Kakashi, it's wrong to misunderstand the captain's intentions and worse to suspect them of ill intent."
Uchiha Yoichi snorted and continued,
"You don't understand this female ninja's value. Once we capture her, I'll verify carefully, but for now, follow my lead. Let's revise the plan and delay the timing, and by the way, give me your Explosive Tags."
Uchiha Yoichi extended his hand to Kakashi for the Explosive Tags. Although human bombs are known in the Ninja World, they should catch the Grass Village off guard.
If not successful, they would at least serve as a surprise.
After a detailed discussion on their roles, Uchiha Yoichi disguised himself and left.
He just learned Sharingan Genjutsu before the mission, and while he couldn't guarantee a 100% success rate in controlling ninjas, against Wandering Samurai, it was absolutely no problem for Uchiha Yoichi.
