Chapter 52 - Chapter 52: The Second Heist

Kakashi instinctively felt that being a bounty hunter wasn't good, but he didn't have much experience, so he couldn't articulate his thoughts.

Hatake Sakumo had always taken a hands-off approach with Kakashi, partly because he had many tasks, including numerous A-Class and S-Class tasks that he needed to handle, often keeping him away; and partly because Kakashi was indeed a genius, becoming a ninja at the age of five.

Theoretically, once one becomes a ninja, Kakashi should be regarded as a peer, as ninjas are already equipped for killing and completing tasks.

Although Kakashi was quite young, he was a genuine ninja, so Hatake Sakumo generally let Kakashi make his own judgments, only offering advice when Kakashi couldn't figure things out on his own and actively sought his guidance.

The last time Hatake Sakumo intervened was because Kakashi violated his ninja principles by selling information related to the village.

"Being a bounty hunter, nothing's going to happen, right?"

Kakashi scratched his white hair and said that if he didn't become a bounty hunter, his only option was to wait for the next batch of Ninja School graduates and form a squad with them.

"What could happen? Kakashi, although you are a ninja, you seem to have never witnessed the darkness of the Ninja World, and the Underground Gold Exchange is the darkest place."

Uchiha Yoichi took a sip of tea and continued speaking to Kakashi, "At the Underground Gold Exchange, you find all sorts of clients, even fathers killing their sons, and you can pretty much find anything or any information there. I went there last time precisely for this reason..."

After speaking, Uchiha Yoichi placed his Lightning Fang on the table.

Upon seeing this, Kakashi understood immediately. The captain was after chakra metal, something he had at home, and it seemed his father had left him a piece, to be crafted into his own ninja blade once he mastered his swordsmanship.

"Then... we won't be discovered by the village, right?"

"You don't say it, I don't say it, at most the village will know you're not around, but as to your whereabouts... Anbu isn't that capable yet."

Upon hearing this, Kakashi fell silent. He felt tempted, yet slightly apprehensive about the village.

"Alright, Captain, when do we set off?"

"Tomorrow. But I need to go outside and meet some clansmen to handle some matters first!"

Uchiha Yoichi thought about it for a moment before saying to Kakashi, "It might take a day or two, but it's okay. We'll be out for a month, no problem. So that's settled, Kakashi, come find me at the clan land tomorrow at noon."

"Alright, Captain."

Then, Uchiha Yoichi proposed that since they were both idle, they might as well spar in the yard.

He stood still and even had Gates apply a Gravity Jutsu with one-fold gravity, instructing Kakashi not to use Ninjutsu, only swordsmanship to spar.

Upon hearing this, Kakashi couldn't help but twitch the corner of his mouth under his mask. It seemed considerate of him... Yet considering Uchiha Yoichi's strength, Kakashi understood the gap between them.

Though both were Chunin, his own strength was only that of a Chunin, while Captain Yoichi remained at Chunin level due to not taking the assessments.

Before they began the sparring, Uchiha Yoichi instructed the cook to prepare more food today since there was an extra person.

Afterwards, the two began their sparring in the courtyard.

Uchiha Yoichi bore a lot of weight, but his chakra and body were undergoing metamorphosis daily, gradually adapting to the gravity and weight. With the dynamic vision of the Sharingan, he could clearly see Kakashi's sword trajectories.

Even with the weighted metal and gravity boost on his body, he could barely fend off all of Kakashi's strikes, though it was quite strenuous.

Nevertheless, it served as a form of training for him. Kakashi's Wind Escape strikes perfectly suppressed Uchiha Yoichi's Lightning Release entanglement, forcing him to enhance chakra flow under the gravity, training his Lightning Release Chakra Mode.

When it was time for dinner, the cook prepared the meal before leaving, and Uzumaki Minami happened to return at that moment.

"Lord Yoichi, I'm back... Kakashi is here too."

Seeing Kakashi, Uzumaki Minami silently clicked her tongue internally, then put her Medical Ninja coat, which hadn't been fully taken off, back on, changed clothes inside, and came out to join the meal.

During dinner, Uzumaki Nami learned that Uchiha Yoichi and Kakashi were leaving the village, so she immediately spoke up, "Lord Yoichi, take me with you too. My healing abilities..."

"No, Minami, you should focus on learning Medical Ninjutsu and Sealing Technique in the village first. Once you awaken the Bloodline Seal, then join me on missions."

Rejected by Uchiha Yoichi, Uzumaki Minami's mood dropped sharply and she secretly decided she'd balance her study time on Sealing Technique and Medical Ninjutsu to awaken the Bloodline Seal as soon as possible.

After the meal, Kakashi patted his stomach and planned to see if there was any after-dinner tea, but when he noticed the icy look from Uzumaki Minami, he couldn't help but flinch.

"Captain, thanks for the meal, I'm heading back."

"Leaving already? Have a cup of tea before you go."

"No, there's something at home..."

With that, Kakashi quickly stood up, bid farewell, and left.

Uchiha Yoichi shook his head. Kakashi lived alone at home, what business could he have? Could it be he was going back to read some little yellow book?

Thinking about this, Yoichi suddenly recalled there was a noticeable lack of literary entertainment in the Ninja World, not many famous works. Maybe, he could suggest some plots someday and hire ghostwriters to write books.

The next day, Uzumaki Minami unwillingly went to Konoha Hospital, carrying three million ryo to be delivered to Tsunade.

Not long after Minami left, Kakashi arrived at the Uchiha Clan Land, "Captain, I'm here."

"Wait a moment, we'll set off soon."

Seeing Kakashi without dark circles under his eyes, Uchiha Yoichi nodded, relieved he hadn't stayed up reading little yellow books.

After preparing, the two of them set off together.

However, before they'd even left the clan land, they encountered three clan members traveling together, and those three gave unfriendly looks.

Peace Faction following the Clan Leader!

"Senior Yashiro, what's the punishment if a clansman lays hands on the Clan Leader?"

"Don't be silly, Tekka. They've sided with the Second Elder. You better watch your words, or he might get you killed too..."

Two of them started jeering sarcastically just before crossing paths, while the older one in the middle remained silent, merely glaring at Uchiha Yoichi with hostility.

Uchiha Yoichi sneered, then patted Uchiha Tekka on the shoulder, "Yes, I've sided with the Second Elder. I plan to become the Clan Leader. If you're discontent, report to Clan Leader Fugaku."

Stealing, initiate!

Uchiha Tekka was just about to retort when he suddenly felt a stinging sensation in his eyes, like he'd just been through an intense battle, leaving his eyes utterly exhausted.
