Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Review (Part 1)

At the moment of the unexpected incident, the entire laboratory door was sealed to prevent harmful substances from spreading.

Although according to the safety manual, the instructors outside should have rushed over immediately, Jeming did not dare to place his life on this assumption.

Currently, if he didn't want to turn into ashes in the explosion of the machine, he had better find a way to stop the machine from breaking down further as soon as possible.

While other apprentices were panicking, unable to dodge, and some wizards were still frantically searching for an emergency shutdown solution, Jeming moved!

He suddenly rushed out from behind the load-bearing pillar, moving as fast as a fleeting shadow, swiftly heading toward the separator that issued the piercing alarm!

The corrosive dust still filled the air, and the surrounding apprentices gasped in shock when they saw him "bravely" charge in.

However, the gray dust, which could make flesh sizzle, turned into nothingness the instant it touched the Refined Gold film on Jeming's skin, as if hitting an invisible wall, causing him no harm at all!

Jeming paid no attention to the gazes around him and quickly approached the separator, his eyes fixed hard on those key Rune nodes that he sensed.

He extended his right index finger, the fingertip gathering a trace of Elemental Energy condensed by the external release of Spiritual Power.

With swift and precise movements, he pointed at the first node!

Buzz...

The Rune node emitted a faint sound as a burst of uncontrolled Energy was instantly discharged from there, once again blocked by the Refined Gold film on Jeming's hand.

Jeming didn't stop, following the exercises he had calculated multiple times in his mind, he pointed consecutively at several other key nodes!

With each node he pointed at, the alarm of the separator weakened slightly, and the chaotic Energy fluctuations calmed down correspondingly.

In just a brief moment, Jeming flitted through the danger zone like a butterfly among flowers.

When he pointed at the last key node...

Snap!

The alarm of the separator abruptly stopped, and the uncontrolled Energy flow was completely redirected and calmed.

The pervasive corrosive dust also lost its source and was soon dissolved by the emergency handling system in the public laboratory.

The crisis was averted!

Jeming stood beside the separator, slightly panting, with a hint of lingering fear in his eyes.

Those present were momentarily stunned, then burst into a round of cheers. It wasn't until a few unfortunate apprentices couldn't help but let out cries of Pain that the other apprentices realized and hurriedly checked their corrosive wounds.

Amy leaned closely against the load-bearing pillar, her complexion a bit pale.

She looked at Jeming, with a kind of incredulous astonishment in her eyes aside from the fright!

Although she had long believed in Jeming's strong Talent, he had still demonstrated qualities far beyond theirs during the previous crisis.

"My judgment wasn't wrong; establishing a good relationship so early really paid off!"

Amid Amy's secret delight, the laboratory door was violently kicked open, and a group of fully armed wizards, accompanied by a batch of silver-white Demonic Puppets, rushed in.

The Demonic Puppets quickly swarmed to the injured Wizard Apprentices, lifting them in pairs and quickly evacuating them from the laboratory.

Even some apprentices with minor injuries were arranged to follow a Demonic Puppet out after being checked by the wizards.

Seeing the decreasing number of apprentices around and the wizards gradually surrounding him, Jeming suddenly sighed, obediently raising his hands.

"Don't worry, I will definitely cooperate!"

It seemed that not only was this group of wizards here to deal with the incident, but they also intended to handle him as an unexpected factor.

These wizards paused slightly upon hearing him, exchanged surprised glances, then quietly took Jeming away amidst the chaos.

On the way of being escorted, Jeming actually felt a sense of relief inwardly.

The second shoe had finally dropped!

...

...

Deep within Nolun Academy, an unknown secret chamber.

The chamber was devoid of excess decoration, furnished only with cold metal walls and floors, and in the center, a giant light screen hovering and emitting a faint glow.

On the screen, the recent incident in the public laboratory area of the Alchemy Workshop was prominently displayed - the Element Dust Separator malfunction, the apprentices in panic, and... a figure rushing into the danger zone, calming the crisis at a shocking speed.

Several figures cloaked in large Wizard Robes stood or sat quietly in front of this light screen.

Their faces were shrouded in the robe's shadows, making their appearances hard to discern, but the strong waves of Spiritual Power emanating from them indicated they were at least of the Fourth Level Official Wizard Level.

The light screen paused at the scene of Jeming leaving with the wizards of the enforcement team.

A series of evaluation data appeared on the side, showing the Energy fluctuations during the incident, the dust concentration, and the reaction scores of each apprentice.

"Number Three, slow reaction, began retreating two seconds after the alarm, points deducted."

"Number Five, overly panicked, affecting others' retreat, points deducted."

"Number One, quick reaction, timely alarm, decisive handling, points added."

Each deep voice steadily announced the scores for each apprentice's performance during the crisis.

Their evaluations were calm and objective, devoid of any Emotions, as if merely analyzing a complex equation.

The screen switched again, freezing on the golden glimmer that flashed across Jeming's body surface when he dashed into the corroding dust zone.

Beside the evaluation data, a conspicuous note flickered: [Anomaly].

"It's this apprentice," a voice spoke, tinged with a hint of interest, "he's the one who submitted that... 'White Iron Base Insulation Material'?"

A slightly balding figure nodded, asking gravely, "What about the results of his evaluation?"

"Soul detection has been completed," a calm voice replied, "I compared his soul record upon entry, before covering with the special material, and after covering with the special material. No anomalies were found; the essence of his Soul is quite clear, showing no signs of parasitism or replacement by other entities."

"A detailed investigation of his social network was conducted too," another voice chimed in, "Whether before or after enrollment, his social interactions have been very simple. In his hometown territory, he was a reticent little guy. After enrollment, apart from the apprentices of the same faction and a few peers, he hasn't had deep contact with any unknown or suspicious entities. Those involved have been vetted, and the historical records are clear."

"His subconscious and Mental have been tested as well, with no signs of tampering."

"We just tested his cognition, with no signs of distortion..."

...

A series of evaluation results were recounted by the surrounding wizards until in unison, they all turned their gaze toward the balding wizard who had started the discussion.
