By the time Li Yi arrived at Jiang Keke's house, it was already getting dark.
Jiang Keke's house was fairly large, with a small fenced yard. The yard was well-decorated, with a rain shelter above, and two mulberry trees planted on either side of the gate that were easy to care for; one was almost dead, and the other wasn't much better off.
As she walked up to the gate, Li Yi was still thinking about how to start the conversation later. She was never good at visiting other people's homes, and this time she came on her own without bringing a gift. Along with Jiang Si's cold attitude, she was a bit worried it might be too awkward.
Before she could knock, she heard some dull "thud" "thud" sounds from the yard, like something heavy hitting the ground.
Li Yi's heart sank immediately, and she quickly grabbed her Miracle Seed.
