The result of my trying to crack a joke ended in backfiring on me, i was going to eat cold ribs, luckily Paradox was there to fix the situation, but i guess it eased her tensed mood a little bit more, i told her that she should tell her other older brother about this, she nodded but something was telling me that she won't do as i suggested .
We talked about different topics for a few more minutes, until the car that was responsible for picking her up arrived, i then bid her farewell, the moment the car get out of my vision, i was reminded of forgetting to ask more about what we talked about earlier today, i then sighed frustratingly, then went on my way back to the dorm, wanting to start the feast already .
As i walked away, i couldn't help but look at sky above me, my thoughts were wandering, drifting from one topic to another, how to deal with Evelyn, Sophia declaration of love, Momochi-senpai situation and whether was what i said was enough to help her out .
My and Shizuno sharing the same predicament of how to deal with an obnoxious, arrogant, conceited, bastard of a father .
How my mom was currently holding up, was her life going well, was she really okay or was she trying to act strong for me, at least her asking me to get a girlfriend seemed to be coming true, i unknowingly hard two candidates vying for that position, something that wasn't making me happy for even a little bit, due to reminding me of what that guy did to my mother .
My last thoughts were related to the principal and her reaction just now, tomorrow morning duel, how that girl Renjuu Satsuki was related to me, i don't believe that my reaction the first time i met her with love at first sight, something about the killing intent that i show when hearing about what happened this morning sounds extremely familiar, but i can't pinpoint how .
Her being someone important to me seemed quite possible, but that would complicate things even more, if that were to be true .
And lastly, i couldn't help but have a smile when i remembered the interaction was that girl made of light, i was also a bit stunned at being reminded of the name she called me and the opinion of her describing my power as a cursed type of power .
She addressed me as the Monarch Of Time, i couldn't help but grin at how that name sounded in my ears and mind, i couldn't help but raise my hand to the sky while still looking at the sky and wondered, what other secrets will that guy Lucius show me, what other powerful abilities that i still hadn't unlocked, someone eligible to be called the Monarch Of Time, must have a lot of tricks up his sleeves .
I suddenly heard the sound of a car beeping behind me, i was awoken from my detached state and saw that their was a car standing in front of the school gate, i was beginning to feel uneasy, thinking that it was here to pick me up, but i believe that i may have been overthinking too much .
The car was waiting for someone alright, that someone slapped me in the back of my head as i was looking backwards, i wasn't able to notice the slap coming from the front, i turned to look and saw the face of glaring woman that worked in the cafeteria, but i was surprised to see that she was wearing a dress and put on makeup, she looked to be quite elegant and radiant in this state, i couldn't help but look at her then i looked back at the guy urging her to hurry by beeping and raised my eyebrow at this .
She seeing me like this was first a bit embarrassed, but she then stomped on the ground and regained her composure and asked :
What ? .
" Nothing, i was just surprised that this was the reason you was in hurry to close up, but the guy you chose didn't seem to be a good guy, so be careful .
She just snorted and went on her way, another person completely disregarding of my sincere advice, Shizuno shouldn't be counted due to myself believing that she didn't even try to process what i was suggesting before throwing it out of her mind, both her and that woman were similar, my opinion of that guy stem from the fact that i got a bad impression about him, something that i was beginning sense lately .
I went to the dorm and completely discarded of all those useless thoughts, my second day at school was one fulfuilling day, i'm beginning to believe that i might fail this year if things continued to go on like this, my day consisted of going to the Training Arena then losing consciousness, i wonder why did i lose conscious this time around .
I reached the dorms, dropped the food bags in the kitchen, then i began to heat all of the food servs, one by one, the one that will be good to go will be devoured directly, this continued until i was finally satisfied and feeling that i have no place for any more food, but dessert was a different thing entirely, i devoured all the honey pancakes and chocolate ones without wasting a single second, if someone were to enter the room suddenly, he would feel a bit of sympathy towards the food in front of me .
Not much of the food was left, i put most of what left in the small refrigerator, not knowing whether would i need a snack during midnight, i was also reminded of to go check the town closer to the school, we have permission to stroll around in there without much of a problem as long as we don't cause a scene or becoming nuisance that is .
I hadn't had the chance to do this since i kept going to the infirmary quite often, this wasn't given me enough time to do anything else, but tomorrow, i would ask for the captain permission to go and take a stroll, hopefully he will agree .
I called my mom, the call connected and i began telling her about most that happened today, i also told her that i was doing quite fine and asked her if her situation was good, she first said that it was okay with a mild tone, she didn't use often, so i asked her to tell me what was going on, she insisted that everything was okay, i threatened that if she didn't tell me, i might drop out of school to come and check for myself, a bluff, but one my Mom didn't want me to have a risk of doing, so with a bit heavy tone, she began to tell me that place she worked for was getting sold to someone and that person would not need any of the current workers .
So that what was making her so worked up, it was a quite dangerous development for her stable life, but i assured her that everything was going to be okay, the rest of the call, i was trying to lighten her mood up, telling her about the different situations that i kept finding myself in without going through the details of those situations, of course .
That seemed to be working as her tone become joyful and carefree as before, i suddenly had a weird thought in mind, i thought that Sophia would be able to go extremely along with my mother, both share some similarity, especially their unbothered but friendly nature, Evelyn or Tokiko might be able to do the same as well .
I then wished her goodnight and she did the same as we hanged up the call, as i was about to put it on the charge, due to it notifying me of that the battery was low, i got a message from a recently registered contact, she was asking who was this and even put a terrified emoji at the end of the text, i thought of that to be quite funny, but i replied to her saying that it was me and that i had tried to reach her before on the phone but she wasn't picking up, just before i pushed the send button, the phone battery died out .
I sighed at the bad timing, put the phone down on the table beside my bed and left the phone to recharge, i stood up changed my clothes and began doing a few exercises, wanting to help my body digest the ton of food that i just ate, so that it doesn't give me a trouble in my sleep, the air system in the room were designed to prevent some certain kind of situation, after i was done was doing some squats and push-ups, i noted that i was beginning to get sweaty and i still wasn't in mood to sleep that early .
I took a warm shower then came out and sat in front of the Tv, there was a Mecha Warrior anime that was airing a collection of episodes on some channel, i liked that anime quite a lot, so i watched all of these episodes, wasting a long time, but it was very worth it in my opinion, we were past midnight, i stood up from the couch and stretched my body, then i began to head to the bed, thinking what might tomorrow had in store for me .
An hour later, i woke up with one last thought in mind, this time i won't be late to school, i adjusted the alarm to wake me up, then returned back to sleep peacefully and soundly .
The alarm rang woke me up, this was the third time it rang, i accidentally destroyed it while i was trying to stop it from continue ringing, i woke up finally, i first used Paradox to return the victim back to its original state and it rang loudly once again, forcing me who was still a little absent-minded to punch it again, then i restored it back again .
I got ready and began heading to the school, i got to the cafeteria for a breakfast, i wasn't hungry or anything, but it was a very important meal to have in the beginning of the day, i arrived at the cafeteria and saw that no one was there, i hurriedly check my phone and saw that i was a bit early, 1 hour early to be exact, the reason was that i was worried that once again i won't be able to arrive at the school in time .
Yesterday, i had an excuse for absence, but that have already worn off, i approached the familiar lady serving the food and was a bit surprised to see around her eyes were red as if she was crying, i went to her and due to not wanting to impose myself on her, i decided that i wasn't going to ask, i already had a guess about whatever that was going on with her it must have something to do with that date she went on yesterday .
And i was indeed right, after all i wasn't the only one who noticed her looking all gloomy and down like this, i heard the workers talking about my guess being indeed the case, even though i didn't intend to say anything about me warning her about him yesterday, she seeing me standing silently looking at her, roared at me saying :
What ? .
I found it somewhat funny that she always asking that same question in the same quite rude way, so i couldn't help but chuckle a little, but that chuckle was what almost cost me my life, i guess even the people working in the kitchen in this school weren't normal people, she actually throw a grill at me, if i hadn't reacted fast enough I had no doubt that without using Heal, i might have ended up sleeping in the infirmary for another day .
" Hey, that could have hurt you know .
Oh yeah, good that was exactly what i throw it for, wanting to hurt someone .
I looked at her and saw that even though she was using her Prana, she seemed to have opened only four of the five Prana Gates, her hands and feet were glowing red, matching with her hair which was currently fluttering in the air behind her for some reason while she saying all that cupping her hand in a fist .
I stared at her and without saying a word, i pointed at the food, she finally regained her composure and served me the food, i took it and even though the whole place was currently empty, i still decided to set at most furthest table close to the door at the end of the cafeteria, i then finished eating and there was still no one around, i once again checked my phone and saw that i had received a massage from Tokiko .
I was reminded of the promise i made to her about going to school together yesterday, i completely forgot about it, i answered that i was in the cafeteria, she sent a frustrated emojis in response, but she didn't say anything else .
I saw that there was a little to no time before the school day start, i was looking forward to see the battle between Moroha and Isuragi Gin, i already determined that the winner would be most likely the Ancient Dragon, but how the fight will it was still left to be seen .
I finished eating and thought that Tokiko would be here by now but she weren't and neither were any of the students for that matter, i wanted to ask that Lady, her name was Kushina, but in the end i decided against it, mostly due to her being currently upset with everything, so there was no need to anger her anymore .
Just as i was about to get up, i saw her coming from behind the counter and apologized for the outburst just now, but that it was my fault for laughing which led her to throw the grill at me .
I told her about the actual reason to why i was laughing and she was completely embarrassed, blushing and darting her eyes around as if she wasn't wanting to look me in the eyes, but after a few more seconds passing with this awkward situation between us unresolved, i decided to just tell her that everything was okey .
But for some reason her eyes were beginning to turn red and tears began to form in her eyes, i wondered if i had said something wrong, but what happened after was even more weird, i found that she sat in front of my table and began telling me about how her date went .
I tried to stop her, but curiosity got the better of me, i finally understand why was she sad, after hearing what she said, i wasn't sure of whether to laugh or cry at her story .
The guy she was going on a date with, rented the car to show off, but fate had other plan for that car, he wasn't that skilled in driving so he ended up crashing into a car that was moving beside them, ending there date before it even started, due to the fact that the car was damaged .
I now understood why was she so upset this morning, i reminded her of the warning i gave her but she didn't listen, which upset her even more, she began looking around, i thought she was trying to find something to throw at me, so i got up from my seat and went to hand over the food tray, even though she was offering to do that herself .
I wanting to change the subject went on to ask about where was everyone, she looked at me weirdly and asked :
You don't know ? .
" What is going on ? .
There were two guys from your school year agreed to fight today, their Battle should have started for over an hour now, wait i still.... .
" Huh .
Using Paradox a few times, i was able to get to the training arena, but sadly i was late .
