"Absolutely impossible. I couldn't have screwed this up," Webster declared with unwavering certainty. "You people must've made the error."
His paranoia about exactly this scenario had driven him to verify each step twice, analyzing every potential failure point. That's why he could guarantee he hadn't made any errors.
The only explanation for two completely contradictory results was a screw-up at their facility.
Webster refused to accept it. He demanded additional testing, even proposing they visit different locations and have multiple institutions conduct the analysis.
Watching his frantic behavior, his family's tolerance finally cracked.
"Enough." Kevin's gaze burned with fury and disillusionment. "Webster, how long will you continue this charade?"
He cut off any response. With that single statement, he ended it completely. "If you're so hell-bent on causing drama with Sallie, then leave the Noah Family with her and never return."
