Chapter 138 - Chapter 138 They Are Scared Of Us

Sandy's POV

Something sharp jabbed against my knee, sending a jolt through my already aching body. A low groan escaped my lips.

Every inch of me screamed in agony, as though a freight train had bulldozed straight through me. My eyelids felt sealed shut with cement, refusing to budge despite my desperate attempts to force them open.

Another sharp prod to my knee cut through the fog clouding my thoughts. I felt like I was drowning in thick molasses, clawing frantically to break through to the surface.

"Zi---Sandy." A voice reached me through the haze, muffled and distant.

"Wake up." Another voice joined in, more urgent.

"Come on." The jabbing at my knee continued, more insistent now.

"Wake up already! Damn it, how much longer are you going to take?" The second voice snapped with irritation.

I flinched at the harsh tone and finally managed to pry my eyes open.
