Sally's POV
The evening air carries a sharp bite as we approach the healer's quarters. I pull my jacket tighter around my shoulders, cursing myself for not grabbing something warmer. Karl strides ahead, his tension radiating through our bond like static electricity. Without a word, he pushes open the heavy wooden door and we step inside.
Instead of heading toward the main treatment rooms, Karl navigates us down the narrow hallway to the private quarters where the healers retreat for rest. His knuckles rap gently against a familiar door, and Juliette's muffled voice calls from within.
"Door's unlocked, come on in."
