Chapter 6 - 6

Chapter 6 Kingpin is a good man

Willoughby, Brooklyn.

This is a newly emerging restaurant featured in a food magazine, known for its unique restaurant architecture, fresh ingredients, and secret-recipe special sauces.

The restaurant does not have a conventional main entrance; it is cleverly hidden within the wall.

After entering, you need to be guided by the staff to walk down a dimly lit staircase before you can reach the main hall.

The entire building is white, and the main hall resembles a museum.

That's right, this is a restaurant located underground.

Clearly, the business philosophy here is not based on low profit margins and high sales volume, nor on winning customers through word of mouth. Its positioning dictates that its dishes will not have affordable prices.

Today, the restaurant, which usually sees fewer than ten customers a day, was booked out entirely. The owner had mixed feelings, half happy and half scared.

Because the person who booked the entire venue was Mr. Fisker, who had a nickname: Kingpin.

Fisk didn't really like his nickname, even though it was an honor bestowed upon him by other gangs.

kingpin.

It means the king of the underworld.

To some extent, the nickname given to him by other gangs was largely a product of submission and fear.

Kofisk's dream is to build an unparalleled gang, one in which no vassals are needed.

...

Today is a very important day because Fisk is going to ask a woman out on this day.

His emotions died the day he threw his father piece by piece into the river. Fortunately, fate gave him a chance.

That's how he met this woman.

Even more fortunately, she accepted his invitation.

At Fiske's polite request, the restaurant removed all the tables, leaving only a small table for two people in the center of the main hall.

The appointed time arrived, and surrounded by a group of smart men in black suits, Fisk, dressed in a custom-made navy blue suit, and his equally elegant female companion took their seats on time.

Inside the kitchen, the restaurant owner looked at the customer outside and couldn't help but swallow hard. He regretted serving this customer.

What's even more tragic is that he never had the right to refuse.

He swallowed hard again. "Everyone, pull yourself together!" the boss said fiercely to his employees. "If anyone messes up today, it'll be our death anniversary, understand?"

Appetizers, soup, side dishes... the two chatted happily, and the restaurant owner, who was personally serving the food, secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

When the main course was served, someone opened the door and came in from the already sealed-off restaurant.

Wesley was Fisker's most capable subordinate, without exception.

As Fisk's subordinate, friend, and even partner, Wesley made significant contributions to Fisk's ambition of building a criminal empire. He was also Fisk's most trusted confidant, handling most of the gang's affairs.

That's why he was able to walk into the restaurant at this time.

Although he had something very important to say to Fiske, Wesley knew his longtime friend and boss very well.

If he were to disturb the two people who are eating at a time like this, even Fisk wouldn't hold back.

So he simply closed the door quietly, raised an eyebrow, and gave the two people looking at him a polite yet slightly teasing smile, just like an ordinary person seeing their friend having dinner with his new girlfriend. Then he stood there quietly, holding the documents, waiting.

Polite, humble, and approachable.

The woman raised her glass and returned the smile.

"You have a good subordinate."

Fisk was in a good mood.

"He is not only my subordinate, but also my best friend."

"It seems you have good taste in making friends."

"It's obvious that my best interests aren't in making friends."

"oh!"

The woman feigned surprise, raised her glass to clink with Fisker's: "For your excellent taste!"

"Haha, I hope you don't find this abrupt."

...

After the meal, and after taking the woman home, Fisk got into Wesley's car: "Thank you, Wesley."

"Wilson." Only Wesley would call Fisk that.

I shouldn't have bothered you, I'm sorry.

Fisk shook his head: "No, I know something must have happened, something very important, that's why you came to see me."

Leaning back in his chair, he relaxed completely. Today's dinner made him feel more tired than his daily training sessions against ten people.

"That's why I thank you, Wesley."

You're welcome, you two are a perfect match.

After closing his eyes for a few seconds to recover, Fisk opened them again, transforming back into the underworld tyrant. "Tell me, Wesley."

A deep and imposing voice.

"What happened?"

...

Lyon was delighted, first of all, he had bought the pot.

It turns out that as long as you're willing to spend money, you can achieve your wishes; if you can't, it means you haven't spent enough money.

Under a strong cash offer, the landlord agreed to Lyon's renovation of the kitchen and provided considerable assistance.

The pot and other kitchen utensils were all purchased by the landlord.

"Money can make the devil turn the millstone!" Lyon couldn't help but exclaim.

This further fueled Lyon's desire to make money.

What a kind person! This is truly a lifesaver!

It's unbelievable that they could raise over two thousand US dollars just by playing cards or Texas Hold'em in the factory.

Are club benefits really that good now?

It truly is paradise.

Domestic organizations are always stirring up trouble, they won't even let us eat!

Bad review!

Besides having more freedom regarding food, the most important thing is the system.

The initial system experience required is different from Leon's character experience; the former requires significantly more experience than the latter. Furthermore, you can only see a beginner's progress bar slowly increasing.

Just like 99% of Lei.

Now Leon knows, it's probably three times the character experience.

right.

The system upgraded when Lyon added points for the third time.

Thank you again, Mr. Kingpin, for bringing your men together.

For several days, Lyon did this every night: through friendly communication (referring to beatings), sincere pleas (referring to beatings), he learned the address of another leader from a concerned citizen, Mr. Newman, and then there was another round of friendly communication...

After taking down two laundry detergent factories, Leon's character experience level jumped to level four, and the system also successfully completed the final one percent of the character upgrade.

After several upgrades, Lyon's physical abilities have improved significantly compared to the beginning.

[Gods of the Mortal Realm System]

Host: Leon Collins

Four-dimensional:

Strength: 17

Agility: 20

Stamina: 17

Intelligence: 15

Health Points: 170

...

Aside from a small portion of his stamina that Lyon improved through training, the rest were all from stat allocation.

It's worth mentioning that Leon's agility reached the highest value for a normal person as marked by the system, thus earning him a special lottery draw, which he won.

[Rapid Advance]

Effect: Propelles the user forward a short distance.

Level: 1

Note: Master Turtle's signature move. It has been passed down for hundreds of years from the Brazilian tortoise school.

...

After the system upgrade, there weren't many changes; to be precise, there was only one change.

Prize Pool

You can draw equipment, skills, pets, special items, consumables, and items without grade...

(70% white, 20% green, 10% blue.)

Each extraction consumes 200 purification points.

You can now draw blue items!!

Lyon checked his purification level: 2210 points.

"Hehehehehehe..."
